Please provide me with an inside scoop to Boma. What did you like or dislike about it? What was the best thing you ate? Any pics would be very helpful. TIA!!!!!!

It is probably one of the best Buffet's on Disney property. You will enjoy it here. Good food & great atmosphere.:thumbsup2

I can tell you breakfast is to die for, a must do for us! Tons of pics in my Aug and April link....the food is incredible

We're staying at AKL so we made early reservations for breakfast 2 days and we decided if we don't like it we'll just cancel the second one .. so does anyone think it's good enough to do twice in one trip? It just seems like convenient, good food and we like breakfast.

Boma is one of my favorite Disney resturants, if not my number 1 fav.
Dinner there is my favorite, but breakfast is wondeful too.

How much is the breakfast buffet? We are planning on mostly eating in our room (mainly for the sake of time) - but we will probably eat breakfast out some too.

Did not care for dinner at all, didn't like the food. We are going to try for breakfast next time we stay there. Hopefully we will like it better.:goodvibes

Our tradition is Boma on the first night. That means at least a dozen times we have had dinner there. The adventerous eaters in our group love it; the non adventurous ones do okay. It is my favorite non-signature Disney restaurant.

Personally, I love the prime rib with the mustard sauce and the coconut curry soup. If I could only have those two items, I would still be happy.

Only negative for me is that it is insanely noisy.

We went for breakfast in March/April and loved it so much we cancelled another breakfast to add Boma a second time!

I think it was $17

We are eating at 5pm, do you think it will be super packed?? and super loud??

It is hands-down our favorite buffet location in all of WDW. My DS8 and DD3 ate soup for almost an hour - a rarity for them. There were about 5 different soups, and each one was the best version of its kind i have ever had. It was just uphill from there. The prime rib was the most flavorful of any buffet we tasted, and DS loved the salmon, another rarity. The zebra dome desserts were fantastic. If you like plain food, you might not enjoy this place, but it is not so exotic that the average person won't like it either. Try it!

Sorry, we are one of those families that didn't like Boma. Based on the raves of a lot of people that they love it and the review in the UG, we ate there when we visited 2 yrs. ago. The atmosphere was very nice, but we just didn't care for the taste of the food. We also had a hostess who seemed very pushy. She kept coming over to our table and if she noticed we hadn't been back up to the buffet, or we weren't finishing a particular food, she pestered us as to why we weren't eating it, and were we going back up to try something else?? It got to be a little annoying. Our party DID try a lot of the food, and some things were good, just not good enough to want to go back again, that's all.

Any dinner pics? Or the resturant inside would be nice to see also. Thanks for all the opinions. :cool1:

I think i have booked 4 breakfasts!!! it's sooo good:goodvibes

I know we are the minority, but we didn't care for Boma at all. The service was terrible, we had no idea what was in the things we were eating, and it just seemed SO overrated to us. We'd never go back.

I am not a big buffet person but I did like the supper buffet going in December for the breakfast, I am sure that is going to be good. The nice thing about the dinner is there are so many things that you can chose from so there is bound to be something for everyones taste. :)

We loved the food at Boma. We went with another couple. DH and my friend are meat and potatoe kind of people, her partner and I are pretty adventurous eaters. The prime rib was the best I have ever tasted. It was so tender and full of flavour. DH really loved the nut crusted salmon and the chicken pepper pot. the deserts were all wonderful. The only fly in the ointment was the service which was incredibly slow. We waited a good 20 minutes before our server came by to take our drink orders. Refills were slow coming as well and we soon at quite a selection of used plates and bowls on our table. Still, we have already planned to go back next year. After all, in that kind of setting it is the food and not the service that we come for.
