Thinking about this for our next trip. How kid friendly is it? And how low-carb friendly is it?

TIA

The buffet is extensive. There is a "kid pod" with mac n cheese and chicken fingers - making it fairly kid family (or a kid friendly as buffets are - I don't like buffets with younger kids, but other people do). There is meat and fish and fresh vegatables, lots of salads - I'd think low carb would be easy here.

We went on our last visit. Dh is vegetarian, I'm low carb, and ds is a typical 10 yr old. We all agreed our favorite food that trip was at Boma.

I booked Boma for my May trip after researching extensively.
Hope you have a good time!

My fave WDW restaurant! :thumbsup2 Atmosphere, yummy food, and my fave resort AKL.

We really enjoyed our trip to Boma. As others have said, there is something there for everyone.

Let me make one suggestion though...

If you plan to eat any of the foods with exotic spices, have some Tums, Rolaids, or something similar with you. I spent the night after our trip there with a huge case of indigestion. Not everyone will have this problem of course, but next time I'll be prepared.

Have fun!

Excellent...great...kid-friendly....adult-friendly...prime rib terrific...do it!

We went to Boma's in January and it was my husband's favourite meal during our trip. I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so tired from lack of sleep (but that's another story). I agree with other posters - great atmosphere and friendly hosts.

Boma is one of the best. My DF and I made it one of our favorites on our last trip

I'm also thinking of trying Boma for the first time on my May trip. I am taking my close friend and her daughter on this trip (DH is staying home). My friend came to the US about 15 years ago from Somalia so I thought this would be an interesting and fun place to try with her. Not only can she give me an expert opinion on the food choices, but I hope it will also give her a 'taste of home.' Her daughter is 4, so I'm glad to hear the about the 'kids pod.'

We ate there last year & really enjoyed it! It was a perfect "wrap-up" to our AK day. (I wish I could work it into our dining plans this year!)

The buffet selections are varied & plentiful, and there are plenty of choices for even picky eaters (like me). I tried a soup which was amazingly good, & I fell in love w/ zebra domes! The kids' section of the buffet was also really good, and our kids found plenty to eat - they loved all the fruit!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is gorgeous, and the CM's are so friendly. We got there early so that we could walk around & look at all the animals.

We have an adr at Boma for our upcoming trip in July and I am curious what is a zebra dome :confused3 Any insight would be appreciated!!
