Couldn't get ADR's for breakfast on Easter morning but, I was sble to get earl Dinner ressies. I started loking at the menu and it sounds like it could be alot of fun. My in-laws will be joining us on that day. My FIL will flip when he see's the lodge. They are not hardcore disney fans but, enjoy a nice meal as well as the atmosphere.
So DO TELL ??

Boma is our favorite restaurant at WDW. It definitely is a little exotic, but there's something for everyone. The soups and breads are to die for, not to mention the desserts (ZEBRA DOMES!) I would bet your family will really enjoy your meal there...:thumbsup2

Good food for adventurous eaters; not so great for plain eaters.

Restaurant is beautiful but very noisy.

I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove Boma! The rest of my family does too. Unique, flavorful, fillling! The soups, hummus, and cinnamon and raisin couscous are my favorites! Enjoy!!:thumbsup2

Also, like you mentioned, the atmosphere is great! Be sure to save time for walking around the grounds and seeing the animals :)

While we love breakfast at Boma we do not like dinner at all...the flavors or the food are too sweet and cinnamon-y for us and the selection isnt all that wow either. The soups were loaded with red pepper (not the spicy kind but the bell pepper kind) and the desserts were blah..(except for the bread pudding)

I would much rather go to Jiko than Boma

I think Boma sounds more exotic then it is... The food is great tho, definetly try all the curries and soup.. There was one, I belive it was a chicken curry that was soo good I had like 3 bowls.. Its a great place to eat and I enjoyed every minute of it.. My waiter whos name was Paul I belive had his masters in wine and helped me get a great glass.. So be sure to try some wines while there..

O ya dont forget about the zebra domes...

Love love LOVE Boma! I look forward to dinner there whenever we are able to go!!! :thumbsup2

They have typical kid buffet stuff if your kids aren't terrible adventurous when it comes to food. My kids love trying all the different stuff though and their is SO much food to try.

They do have some great African food you can try (DH loves that they have Fufu- which he ate all the time while working in Ghana), but I'm sure anyone could find SOMETHING they would like. Can always have flatbread and hummus. :goodvibes

I love the desserts and I'm a huge zebra dome lover. And yes you HAVE to tour the grounds and see the animals. AKL is beautiful!

A must-do for our family! We consist of 3 adventurous eaters, one vegetarian and one pickier eater... and we all LOVE this restaurant! Can't imaginne a trip to WDW without BOMA! In fact, we have ADR's for exactly 3 months from today!

Oh no curry, I hate curry...eeewww.
DH, and family love it. I quess I'll be eating from the kids section with DD. I have been to the lodge a few times so, thought alone will make it worth it.
Thanks All, J

We have eaten there twice and love it - and my DH is not especially adventurous!! There are some pictures and reviews in my food reviews below!

We also love Boma. We like trying all different places when we go to WDW, but Boma's the only one we are planning for our 3rd time in 3 trips in a couple weeks.

When you go in, they encourage you to try everything, so don't be shy to have 4 different soup bowls going! This is what we do-- try a bite of EVERYTHING. While some of it is delicious, some of it is just okay, and some of it is just plain weird/blech, it is really a dining adventure to try so many different things. I can't wait to go back! I've been there with a total of 7 different people, and everyone has loved it except my DH. But then his fave food of that trip was the stouffer's mac and cheese at LTT. So what does that tell you? :confused3 He's been buying it frozen ever since.

I LOVED Boma! The food was good and different. My husband was okay with it, but not a place he would like to go back to. I guess what I am trying to say is different people will have different opinons. Just being at the lodge and eating there was an experience in itself for me! I Loved it! :thumbsup2
