How is Boardwalk To Go, the place that serves things like hot dogs, chicken fingers, grilled chicken sandwiches, etc., and gives you the option to make it a "basket" (with fries and drink)? And how late is it open? Is it just a quick place to grab a lunch or snack in the afternoon, or could you grab a quick bite in the evening for dinner too?

wow, that sounds yummy, I've never heard of it. Do you know if it is covered on the dining plan?

We were at the Boardwalk in Nov, never heard of "Boardwalk To Go".

Is that an option on their Private Dining menu? :confused3

Ahhh, just looked it up on allears.net. ::yes::

That's a stand on the Boardwalk. Those stands are not always open. They weren't open the week of Thanksgiving. They might be open on weekends, in the evenings when there's more scheduled entertainment on the Boardwalk.

It's not a place I'd plan to have a meal at.

We go in the summer and it's open in the evenings. I don't know how late. It's just a stand, so you get your order to go. And they only take cash.

We tried it last August, and it was pretty good. Hot fresh and filling after a long night

Mom had the foot long hot dog, the kiddos had the nachos, and I had the chicken strip basket.

I LOVED my chicken strips, really crispy and hot, mom loved her hot dog, but the kids didn't seem so crazy about the nachos, they were edible, and I didn't try them personally, but didn't look all that great

Every time we have stayed at BW which is usually in either October or January the carts which serve these items were only open in the evening. Food was good but be prepared to wait as items are not made ahead of time but instead made fresh when you order.

Boardwalk to Go is a semi-permanent stand and we've always seen it open for lunch and in the evenings. Can't recall a time when we've seen it closed and we walk through the Boardwalk area all the time to get to Epcot. We've eaten there a few times and the hot dog is probably the best bargain at Disney World. We also made a nice "share everything" meal with our granddaughter by getting a burger, hot dog and a plate of fries one night while we were babysitting. There are a few tables right next to the stand and across the boardwalk is the take out pizza place so you can combine with that to please just about everyone.

I think it's a good choice for a quick bite to eat. And you can pass the time reading the trivia about hot dogs that's on the sides of the building.
