Tell me about Boardwalk area

Occasionally there is a magician/juggler sort of person. Shopping in the store-which has the same merchandise as every other store. We still like to stay there and walk around at night, but we wouldn't go without staying there or someplace really close(like Beach Club).

I would have to agree with this. My family really enjoys the nightlife at the BW with the street performers and walking around the shops. We will be at BC for a few nights during our upcoming trip and plan to go over there for a while after our Yahtsman's Steakhouse ADR. One of the things I really like to do is just sit down on a bench and look out over the water and just enjoy the atmosphere that surrounds me while I'm there.

Just stand on the bridge that leads to Epcot. Watching people pedal up that incline (which I guess is a lot steeper than it looks) is probably the best entertainment on the Boardwalk. :thumbsup2

We rode a surrey bike over that bridge once and we will never do it again :rotfl:. That was the hardest thing to do on a surrey bike that we ever did before. As we were going up the hill, there was a ferry heading to DHS that just so happened to be there at the same time. Let me just say that everyone that was sitting outside of the ferry was watching my family and I struggling to get up that darn hill (yes it is a lot steeper then one would actually realize). And when we finally reached the top of the hill, they all cheered for us because we made it....it was embarrassing yet one of the funniest things that had happened to us on that trip :goodvibes.

I forget the name of it but there is an art gallery that is a good time.

Yes that was us!! So hard! Finally a kind CM in a golf cart came up behind us and gave us a gentle nudge! Bless him!:goodvibes

I loved the Boardwalk when we stayed there in '96, but I was 16 so I don't remember a ton of it.
What I do remember was it was really pretty at night. iT was all lit up and and it was fun to see the street entertainment.
I also loved it because you could walk to Epcot. My brother and I went over there on our own a couple times and it felt super "grown up" because we were there without our parents, LOL.

Anyway The Boardwalk is fun, a nice place to spend a couple hours and get away from the hustle and bustle of the park.

Have fun!

Do you have to be staying at a Disney resort to visit the Boardwalk? We are staying off site this year, but were thinking about checking it out for the first time. Thanks guys!
