2) where is the dreaded "clown" everyone is talking about? And why are they avoiding being near it?

Debbie did a great job answering your questions. To elaborate, look at my post on the first page with the picture of the resort.

You will see two backward "C's" in red. The "top C" is the main pool area with the clown slide. The "bottom C" is the quiet pool.

I agree with Debbie. The clown is no big deal. here, you can judge for yourself...

3) I have not seen the quiet pool, is it nice?

Yes it is nice. Just a basic pool...no slides.

We just back from 8 days/7 nights at Boardwalk Villas. We had a Preferred/Water View for the entire stay. I made no special requests but we ended up with a great room. We were on the 4th floor, room 4059. The room was about 5 rooms down the hall from the elevators and it overlooked the courtyard. We had a view of half of the Boardwalk - could see the Epcot ball from our balcony. It was the perfect spot for us...we were really happy with the room. Here are some pictures:

We have had a 5th floor room above the croquet lawn/canal view twice and also a Boardwalk view right across the hall once and I just love it there........some may not because it is a VERY long walk from the elevator (you can actually see the difference in coloration of hallway carpeting because so few people walk to that end of the hall.........it looks brand new compared to nearer the elevator!!) The view is very nice.....canal, side view of Swan and Dolphin and TofT.........it was very nice to sit on the balcony in the evening with a view of everything.......just watching the Friendship boats on the way to and from Hollywood Studios.

We stayed at a preferred view studio in May 2006 and we had an awesome view!! We were only a couple rooms off the Boardwalk but we were facing Epcot and could see Spaceship Earth from our room. We were on the fifth floor in room 5055. Here's some pictures. Let me know if they don't work since they're from kodak gallery and it might require a password.

My friend must have stood on the deck for at least half hour or so trying to get this picture haha.

We had been waitlisted for Std. view and it came through. Check the website if you are waitlisted. The 7 month window causes some to switch to other resorts.

OP here. After all your words of encouragement and wisdom about PV, I called today to book the last 3 nights and was able to get BW view for the whole 1 night stay! Not sure if the prior CM read the inventory wrong or if it changed since I called last week. -- Suzanne
