We will be at WDW 12/3-12/10. I have 4 year old twin girls.

We are planning on doing CRT, CM and CP again. But this time I am also thinking about 1900 Fare. One of my twins is in love with Alice.

Do you know if Alice is there During breakfast, lunch or dinner?

Also, what is the food like, any good?

Thanks for your input!!!!!! :goodvibes

I think it's mediocre frankly. We were there for a character dinner and the atmosphere was fun, however the food was so-so. I think generally speaking buffets aren't as good as cooked-to-order meals, but even as far as Disney buffets go this one was a disappointment.

Tabitha, good question!

We're going to try it for the first time too, I've been hanging out at the Resteraunt Board, several great posts on positive experiences (one poster just posted her Dining Reviews, and it included a good review of 1900)

Just remember, in the end, its a personal choice, so every person has different perspectives!!

I don't believe they are open for lunch. Dinner is just Cinderella characters (the prince, fairy godmother, mice and Cinderella) generally. Breakfast is the one Alice is at. I also believe there is a tea party there in the afternoon that Alice is at.

Personally I found 1900 Park Fare to have the best buffet of any of the buffets we went to. The food was actually very good (not gourmet, but well above average for buffet food). We went for dinner, though.

Really?! Maybe we were just there on a bad night? We preferred the buffets at Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe to 1900 Park Fare. Maybe we should give it another chance.

We think this is the best character buffet at WDW. The quality of the food and character interaction is a notch above all the others. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

We've eaten at this character dinner twice. There were many characters in addition to Cinderella and her prince and her mice. I seem to recall Captain Hook, Smee, Peter Pan, Snow White, Fairy Godmother. The first time we even had Belle and the Beast! This is one of our favorites, especially on a non-park day!

We had a wonderful time last year for my daughter's 6th birthday. Lots of character interaction. My daughter even got to play ring around the rosy with Chip and Dale. Cinderella was there, the prince, the mice, the fairy godmother.

Food was good. We ordered a birthday cake which was wonderful. Waiter was great, got Cinderella to come back to our table when the cake was brought out. What more would a 6 year old girl want?

I think you may have caught it on an off night -- or maybe the offerings just aren't your favorites. Although, if you liked CP, then I would think you would like 1900 PF. We also enjoyed CP -- almost as much as PF, but the desserts and PF put it a notch above. They aren't really fancy desserts, but I loved the fresh bread pudding, the key lime tart and the apple cobbler -- all fresh from the oven. :cloud9:

I will have to try Cape May -- we didn't do that one.

This is the best buffet by far in all of WDW. I just love the place and the food is great!!!!! Having done most of the other restaurants mentioned in this thread, 1900 is No 1. :cool1:

LOL we are just the opposite! :rotfl:

We thought the Crystal Palace was the worst breakfast buffet and Cape May Buffet wasn't far behind.

We love 1900 Park Fare and, of the buffets we've done, think it's the best one!

To answer the OPs question...last year Alice was at 1900 Breakfast Buffet.

It's only Cinderella characters now. The other characters you mention are going back a ways. Before the dinner turned to Cinderella in Jan04, it had been a Pooh dinner for about 3 years. Prior to Pooh, it was the too short lived Villains dinner.

I do remember the characters you mention in 1999 trips though (when the meal wasn't themed like it has been since). Beast was the lobby character because he is too big to move around in the restaurant. Peter Pan was always yelling at Hook or Smee throughout the restaurant. It was nice having the character variety that you don't get at Disney any more (unless you're at Goofy's Kitchen in DL).

I thought they had Mary Poppins there for bfast? Isn't it called the supercalifragilistic breakfast? :confused3

I was there Tuesday, Mary Poppins does the lobby thing, like the Fairy Godmother does it at the dinner...
