Telephone calls within the World

My boyfriend and I are going for the first time in September, and I've got 10,000 questions, which I will organize and post later. One that just occurred to me, though, is whether calls within the World are free. For example, if I arrive at MK (I hope that's the right abbreviation!) and want to make a PS, can I just pick up any ol' phone and contact the restaurant without having to carry quarters around? Similarly, someone asked a question about losing their resort card and it was suggested that once the loss was discovered a phone call should be made immediately to the resort. Can that be done for free? Does this make any sense at all?

Guest services at your resort can make your PS for you

I believe you can pick up any phone in the resort and push "0". The operator can connect you anywhere in WDW. If you are calling off property, you would have to pay.

I was kind of hoping for that answer ... like at the airport where you just pick up a courtesy phone and get connected to a cab company or whatever.
