I have found that taking ibuprofen when it starts to hurt helps me relax enough to make me feel better. I also have developed the habit of relaxing by jaw during the day-its kind of like checking your posture periodically. I put my tongue on the roof of my mouth and it helps my lower jaw stay unclenched. At night I would use a mouth guard.
