i have 15 yr daughter that is going her cousin is not going now .. she is wondering if she will have fun?? and is nrevouse of going off by herself???

She will have a blast! Make sure to stop up by Common Grounds the afternoon of embarkation and pickup the Teen Navigator as well as register her. They will show her around there and tell her about the teen gathering the "411" held that evening. That is a must do for her as many of them make their friends for the entire cruise that first evening. She can pick and choose the different activities during the the cruise and do as much or as little as she likes as well. My teen love the Disney Cruise and they are begging to go back for our 4th cruise!! :)

We just got back from the March 2nd Magic cruise. My oldest is 13. He had a blast. I hardly ever saw him. They had parties. Dinners together, swimming relays and way to much fun. Their were about 100 teens on the cruise we were on. Plenty of 13-15 year olds. She won't have any trouble meeting people. Common Grounds will soon become her new home and one she will be sorry to leave when your cruise is over. My son could not wait to get home so he could e-mail his new friends.

Last year, when i was 15, i was the only girl teenager from my family there. I have been on other cruises where there is no teen program, and it is hard to meet people, but common grounds was great. Once my mom told me there was a teen only room called common grounds I went straight there. I am not a shy person and easily make friends, so it wasn't really a problem to me to meet new people. Of course it was a little weird the first night. But the couselors there are really nice and cool about getting everyone envolved with the activities, so she should have a great time no matter what! This summer im going on the Disney wonder with 2 of my best friends as a sweet 16 present, i can't wait!

What we have done to help those pre cruise jitters for our teens is to try to meet some other teen cruisers online. Check the cruise list [see the top of the cruise forum page] and pm the other cruisers for your own cruise. Ask if they have teens going, we've met some great fellow cruisers this way. And through this board, they can pm each other. Then your teen knows someone on board, even if it's just a name. There is also a Teens for Disney forum that your teen can post on. Or you can start your own post for your cruise date, if you get no responses to your pms.
My daughter, SDAngel, in the above message, went on the Carnival Triumph last spring and spent the entire week with the girl she met online before the cruise.
