Teens/days without passes

I need a little Disboard help here, pretty please. My DD17's softball team will be down for the President's Day Weekend tournament at the Wide World of Sports Feb. 13-19. While a lot of us will have length of stay passes, the girls will only have three days. We thought they'd use one the first day (Epcot, with team dinner in Japan), one the last a one somewhere in the middle. But when softball's done, they'll need to occupy themselves the rest of the days without passes. They're staying at the All-Star Sports Resort. I thought of setting up a treasure hunt/hidden Mickey search for the hotel and Disney Marketplace. Any other suggestions that don't involve leaving the Disney property (only Disney transportation) or going into the parks? The girls are 15-18 years old and there's 25 of them. Thanks! :confused3

1) I'd suggest spending some time at least one day at Downtown Disney--shopping and exploring.

2) If they can afford to purchase the single WP admission, how about spending one day at a Water Park? Or they could purchase a single day's admission to Disney Quest. I know--not free. But maybe the team could hold a fundraiser to earn the extra money?

3) There is also the option of using WDW transportation to go to the Boardwalk area one day. Not sure if that would interest girls in this age group, or not?

4) And visiting other resorts, such as Animal Kingdom Lodge, can be fun. Many of the deluxe resorts have special programs throughout the day--such as the lobby tours and animal viewing available to all visitors at AKL. And the girls can always grab a bite to eat at the counter service while at any resort.

Thanks, Matt'sMom, those are great ideas. I agree that Downtown Disney would be good, and I didn't know about the interesting things at AKL. That sounds great. I think the Boardwalk sounds like fun as well. We stayed there one year and there's tons going on. I think they can take the bus to MGM, then the boat over to the BW. We're staying at the BCV, so we can meet them there. I've heard FW has a lot of neat things going on. Does anyone know if it would appeal to teens and how tough it would be to get there using the Disney buses?

can you see about adding park days to their tickets? It would only be about $12 to add the additional days to the tickets which is much cheaper than anything you could do for those days. Water parks and Disney Quest are around $40 a day per person.

Thats a lot of down time to try to fill for teenage girls. Thats also alot of girls running around trying to do a scavenger hunt during one of the busiest times of year at Disney.

My DS is going down with his choir and I would be concerned knowing they had that much downtime and would be more than willling to pay the extra $12for park tickets than to find ways to try to keep them busy.

Believe me, I'm willing to pay - the team organization and other parents aren't. That's why I'm trying to come up with some kind of solution that might work for all the girls. They're all good kids; I just don't want to see them bored.
