Sorry I dont mean to generalise but it seems the teenage boys in my area have gone mad because school break has started.

I am so angry and upset this morning its unreal, I was happily re reading harry potter in bed last night, when I hear loud voices outside (we live right next to a foot path but I find it odd to hear noise at half eleven) so I looks out the window only to see a gang of six kick massive holes in my fench (yes I know its a fench but its a £1000 fench which has only been up three months, and we really cant afford a new one till I start work again) they must have been all of fifteen, all with a vodka bottle in hand. They then pulled the fench panel up and threw it on the road, they didnt see me watching. So I let them walk away, I got Chris who hadnt heard a thing, got in my dressing gown and went down to check the fench, a right mess, and I lost it, I grabbed my phone car keys and drove round the block while phoning the police to tell them what happened. I knew exactly what they looked like and found them drinking outside the local shop. so I waited and watched for the police,

Its about this time it dawned on me here I was on me own with ideas to confrount a group of six teens, and thats when the panic attack set in.!!

To cut it short, the police came and got all the details from he teens, my dad came and Chris managed to find me (he isnt very sure of the village yet and doesnt get his bearings very well)

I am pressing charges for criminal damage to the fench, but who knows what will happen there.

I just find it unbelievable that teenagers do this, I wouldnt have dared as my dad would have really had a go if I did.

Chris now wants to move, or set up cctv (which is the best idea as we both love our home) and we are evry worried about leaving the house for our holidays.

Oh and to top it off, two weeks ago a 75 year old was raped and killed in my village, and guess how old the boy is whos been charged with it!!! 13 I kid you not.

whats the world coming to

sorry rant over

That it terrible! I hope that they get what they deserve.

Reminds me of last year when a yob threw stones at me and Shelby outside our house, I was about 8 months pregnant at the time too.

We have CCTV outside our home, I think it does deter would be vandals, esp as we have an infared one at night so it glows red around the camera so you can't miss it. Why should you be forced to move just cos of these idiots when you love your house?

:grouphug: to you!

Terrible for you and what bad parenting those kids have had. I would say I am the mother of two well behaved teenage lads 16 and 18 who have never been allowed to wander about the streets at night and have never been in any trouble. So please do not think all teenagers are like this. The good ones you never hear about.:)

Feel free to rant all you want as i think you have a right too. I think that all that will happen is that they will be given ASBO's to which children & teenages seem to wear these with honour.
Will the parents be made to pay for the damage caused by their children , as i take it they are under 18 and not working.
Sending you lots of hugs & flowers to try & cheer you up & only hope that you get some sort of result from this.

 How awful for you, it's just terrible that people don't feel safe in their own homes! :sad2: I don't know what else to say :grouphug:

It's like that round here and its truly horrible :(

Feel free to rant, it makes it better when you get it off your chest :goodvibes

make sure you get two estimates for the fence repair and submit them to the courts for reparation, as many times if that is not supplied, they won't make a cost order against the little scrotes.

sorry to hear that Anna, what a dreadful night.
Wish they'd bring back national service, 6 months in Iraq in fear of their lives would make the little sods get some respect

It's a sad world that we live in these days when you hear about things like this. All teenagers are not like that though, thankfully. I always know where my son is, and its usually up the golf course with his pals, or the gym !!

Wicket2005 is right, you never hear about the good teenagers.

I have just been talking to my 16 DD about a similar thing. There is a footpath in our street which i have been walking through about the same time every day this week. There have been yobs hanging out by this path drinking ( they get it from the off licence round the corner, the authorities know they sell to under age kids but have not done anything about it!!!!) Yesterday they were kicking someones garden fence today i have noticed the huge hole in it. My DD who has never been allowed or wanted to roam the streets at night says she can't understand why they have to do it. You have to blame the parents in most cases but occasionally its good kids mixing with bad.
