My mom's thinking of taking us on a cruis in like a year. And I'mscared. All of the videos on the teen sections seem like the people who are teenagers make like a ton of friends on the cruise and just hang out with them for the whole time. But I am really bad at making friends, like I'm terrified to go to high school because we integrate with the school from the other side of the city. Is it really like that on the ships?:(

When I went on the cruise 4 years ago I really didn't go to the Teen area because I'm shy when it comes to meeting new people cause I'm afraid that they won't like me. However when I did go for like an hour it wasn't like there was a big clump of people that were good friends... I met some people and talked to them. When I was there they were all playing a game and I wasn't in it because I hadn't gone the day before, so thats why a lot of people got to know each other.I don't think that its that bad. I think that you should at least try going to the Teen area and see what you think, because you might just meet some new friends.

I'm very shy and haven't participated in Common Grounds or The Stack activities. But I still had a lot of fun!!!! I like to be alone quite often so I enjoyed walking around the ship and going to see free movies...I promise you will love it!!!

i think you should go to the teen stuff for the first day because there might be people that are just like you shy thats how i was but i went and made a bunch of friends and if you do go and dont like it you dont have to go back and as far as the high school thing goes you shouldnt be scared cuz when i had to go to Middle school we had to change schools and join peole from another town that we had never met before and now they are my best friends if your scared just remember everyone else is scared too even if they dont look it

Hey.. i went on the cruise twice and loved common grounds. yes, i am outgoing so that was a lil bit of it, but also, I had been talking to people going on my cruise. I met up wit Elana (mickeymouse418) and i had been talking to her thru the DISboards n iming. So that could help you too!

I've been on the cruise twice before. I am extremely shy and yet i had a great time both cruises. The first one was just a 3-day so I didn't get much of a chance to really get to know people, but the second time i went on a 7-day. It was so much fun being able to hang out with a group of kids your own age for the tnire week! Go on the first night, because that is when they do all kinds of break-the-ice games so you can get to know each other. Chances are you will meet at least one person who is shy like you or who you have something in common with. Like I said before, I am a very shy person (but I sooo wish I was more outgoing), but I still IM some of the people from my last cruise. So my advice is to just check it out for yourself on the first night, and if you like it, go again, if you don't, then don't go back.
