Teen Mom

If it were Gary hitting Amber the police would've been called. The double standard is so sad.:sad2: He could've fallen down the stairs and broken his neck for goodness sake! I hope he gets full custody of Leah...he seems to have more patience and takes better care of her.

I was thinking the same thing, it made me so sick to watch that. Poor Leah, Gary really should get a place and get custody of her.
And why was it that Leah didn't have any sheets? Did she just not wash them? Seriously Amber, time to put on them big girl panties and do some wash and clean up.
If I was Gary I would have went right to the police, had them crew show the tape and whatever bruises he may have had. She is NOT stable and who knows what she might do to Leah.

I think Amber is officially out of control now.

Her behavior reminds me of someone I used to know that took a prescribed medication for depression along with (street) amphetamines to lose weight. It caused a horrible personality change and irrational behavior just like Amber.

Amber's family is broken and she doesn't see them much and everything fell through with Gary, so I think when he told her he was taking Leah away she panicked. There's a mother-daughter bond there and she was fighting for her child (again- I AM NOT justifying her actions) by natural instinct. Amber became a mother at young age and dropped out of school and Leah was her only friend.

If the circumstances were different I might agree with you-but this is not the first time Amber has abused Gary physically. The other time they showed it, she wasn't using her maternal instinct or getting upset Leah might be taken away from her...She was just having a hissy fit and started hitting (I'm talking about the time Amber was upset that Gary was "disrespecting her father" and hit him and pushed him into the wall). If she does these things while she's taped - imagine how she is acting off camera.

Ok, I just read that article and what are they doing in TN filming the show? Do you think Amber and Gary got back together b/c that scene was filmed over the summer so actually took place mos. ago?

I wonder if they are filming for the "after show" ...the show Dr. Drew does w/ all the moms? I think we are getting close to the end of the season. :confused3:confused3:confused3

I am sooooooo glad the Police are investigating this ...

Best statement in the article: Lt. Paul Boulware of the Anderson Police Department said the incident is a unique case because it was taped and aired on national television. “It’s a new way of receiving information. It’s like a 911 call through reality TV

I am so glad viewers called. :thumbsup2 MTV sat back and did NOTHING about it. :headache:

The comments on the article are INTENSE. Viewers are realllllly realllllly angry.

You know when Amber was talking to her cousin and her g.f. BEFORE she had the hitting scene with Gary ... (when they came over to see her after she called them and told them Gary took Leah), Amber seemed very concerned THEN that Gary might call CPS and Gary might be able to take Leah from her ... SO, that tells me, Amber is aware of HER ANGER ISSUES. She was not completely HONEST with cousin and g.f. about exactly went on in the apt. BUT Amber knew she was loud, angry and mean to Gary.

First, I have to say I am so happy that this is being investigated.

Second, can MTV be charged since they did NOTHING?

MTV could possibly be charged with negligence...just sat there and filmed it. At least on a reality show on Oxygen (i.e. Bad Girl's Club), if there's an altercation, the producers step in and stop it.

But MTV just filmed it...no producers ever seem to be around to step in if, God forbid, something really bad happened. Nothing but cameras and the crew that runs them.

Seriously, I mean Farrah left Sophia on the couch one epi ... why MTV didn't stop the filming and maybe mention to Farrah or grab Sophia from the couch BEFORE SHE FELL. :headache: Then a few epi's ago, Sophia picked up one of Farrah's drinks but thankfully it was a cold drink (latte like from Starbucks) and Sophia appeared to drink from it and it poured all over the front of her ... had that been coffee ... oh my.

Obviously, we do not know the 'contracts' the Teen Mom's have with MTV but come on, there are instances when the authorities (film crew/MTV) should weigh in on something that looks dangerous as well as ABUSIVE. :headache:

Or the time Farrah left her unattended, bathing in the kitchen sink and she turned the hot water on and burned herself. Or the time she left her strapped in the carseat in the apartment complex hallway...alone. Or the time she and her friend left her on the kitchen counter and then found her and exclaimed, "Oh, there you are!" Or the time...

And those were the incidents aired, imagine how many others are sitting on the editing room floor.

I am so glad the police are involved!! I watched it the other night and have been bothered by it since!!

Ok, by no means are these moms mature. They are after all Teen Moms!

I think Ambers actions are criminal. Need to be intervened upon. But the other moms are trying, doing and learning. Farrah has done things that made me go "NO!" but you cant compare Amber and Farrah.

Also, those of us that are "mature" parents, dont be so fast to throw stones. We have all had "DUH!" moments in parenting. I knocked my then 2 year old over with my hip/belly turning around to pick him up when I was 7 months prego with his baby sister. He just looked at me like how stupid are you lady and then crumpled his face and wailed. I felt about 2 inches tall!

Does that make me a horrid parent????

Im just saying............:)
