Good point, I clearly wasn't thinking about the credits. In that case, it looks like Farrah may have to rely on her mom a little more than she intended to. I think her mother is nuts, but at least Farrah has something to fall back on.

i hope any kind of training she might receive in this field would have more of an impact than her supposed culinary school has-i could not believe her cooking skills last night. my 13 year old knows enough to use flash defrost on the microwave if something he wants to cook is frozen, let alone not to use a pizza cutter to hack at a frozen item-and certainly not to use a pot that would catch fire if exposed to an open flame (and just what did she think calling the landlord when the pot caught on fire was going to accomplish????????).

She is just so nasty. When people say mean things to people IT IS REALLY THEMSELVES THEY ARE ANGRY WITH ... my Mom used to say that to all 5 of us growing up. And I believe it is so true with Amber. She is DEPRESSED, simply put and really needs some medication before she does something to someone.

If I was Gary, when she said "get me my meds", I would've told her to get her lazy, no eyebrows-having, dumb *** to get it herself. Seriously, not even a please?

It all depends on how the funds are distributed if they are minors. They may receive an actual paycheck for filming or it may go into some sort of trust for the minor children. I'm curious how it works on that show. They are also paid for any advertising or media stories (People magazine, etc...) so I really hope that any money that they do have access to that they are being smart with and putting away for their future.

I worked on a show with a huge cast of minors and the parents picked up the kids checks every week. It was the burden of the parents to manage the money for the kids. Some did so wisely and some did not.

I know. Not only is she physically abusive to him but verbally as well. I hope he does take Leah with him for good. She does not need to be in that environment with her mom.

That poor kid's screwed either way.

Catelyns mom is the worst. I just wanted to cry the way she was talking to Catelyn and her friend when they were prom dress shopping. If I had been there and had the nerve, I would have snatched that cigarette out of her hand and put it out on her forehead. Ok, I probably wouldn't have, but I would have really wanted to. Who calls their daughter the b word? Who calls their daughters FRIEND the b word? This woman should not be a mother.

Yeah, she is absolutely the worst. Catelyn made the best possible choice available to her by not bringing a baby into her home when she herself has so much to deal with.

i think it would be the RARE 19 year old who dies with enough ss credits for their surviving child to qualify.

I don't think Farrah's mom is crazy. I think she allowed her daughter to get anything she wanted, when she wanted it and now she's probably tired and can't deal with her. If she had taught her daughter some manners from the beginning, she wouldn't be going through this.

The two of them are JUST ALIKE. When they're together, they're both on edge, JUST WAITING for the other to say something to which she can take offense -- and when it happens, they each adopt that "oh, here it comes again" attitude /tone. They'll never move forward in their relationship because they can't let go of their past anger.

and why does Amber keep saying she has sole custody of Leah, did I miss where they went to court? IF not Gary has every right to that baby.

Farrah, such a brat. AGH she didn't want that poor guy family to have anything to do with Sophia until she needs something from them. I don't think Farrah mom is crazy, I mean I really don't know what happend with the incident with Farrah nothing really much was said about it. I can tell Farrah mom loves that baby to death, and that baby needs people that are stable in her life.

Maci, I'm so glad she stood up to Ryan and didn't take any crap from him.

Catlynn and Tyler I'm starting to get sick of them. It all about Catlynn mom and Tyler dad. I could care less about either of them.

Unless things have changed in the last 14 years, I don't think that is true. I know of a person who died when she was 19. Her baby was maybe 6 months old at the time of her passing.
Before her pregnancy, while she was in high school, she worked at McDonalds. She didn't work full time. She had enough credits that her son was able to collect social security.

My goodness! I don't even think her attorney is sympathetic towards her. He's the same one who dealt with all the drama with the domestic dispute case against her mom. Farrash was going on and on about her drama with Sophia's dad and his family. The attorney said something like "I just don't understand how you people live like you do." I agree with him. When there is that much negativity all around you, the common denominator is YOU!

Amber is just a mean, mean girl. The way she talks in front of Leah is just wrong. Definitely an abusive environment.

Catelynn
On the episode before last when they were talking about Carly's bday, Catelynn and Tyler were babysitting the little brother. I thought it was sweet when the little brother said "I will tell the baby Happy Birthday!" April has problems. She is either on coke like Butch or meth. Obviously, Catelynn and Tyler made the best decision for Carly.

Catelynn- Thank god they gave up Carlie for adoption. The whole family is just toxic.

Amber definitely needs some help. She is definitely crossing the line. The verbal abuse has now turned physical (again) and she is way out of control.

Farrah- did she ever deal with the death of her boyfriend? It didn't seem like it tonight. I felt sorry for her and usually I just think she's selfish.

Maci- the only one with any kind of sense. Still not sure about the move away from her family and Ryan but at least she was trying to work out a visitation schedule.

I think Maci took the custody schedule a lot better than most adults would have that are 10 years older. She gave him, what looked to be nearly 50% custody. If not that much, it was a heck of a lot more than what he was getting before. She treats Ryan and the custody situation better then most people I've seen.

Farrah - I'm always back and forth on feeling bad for her and what she's been through and thinking she's a snot. I thinks she's a combo of both... I just can't decipher what my overall feeling is towards her.

Gary and Amber - My lord. Amber is a disgusting human being, and a disgrace for a mother. I watched her 'after show interview' and couldn't help but shake my head. The whole, 'I don't even care about myself, Gary can find someone better, whatever happens to me happens' speech is only for sympathy. She knows how she looks - she's hoping people will think 'poor Amber, she has a lot of problems... we should be understanding' instead. Sorry, no. You have problems. I have problems. Her biggest problem is herself. I have no patience for mothers like her. The other 3 girls have issues as well - you don't see them cursing, punching, and ignoring crying children in a crib. Frankly, I think if Gary did take Leah away Amber would be fine with it once she got over being pissed that she didn't have control over the situation. I just don't thinks he wants to be a mother... and she clearly feels like she's entitled to be spoiled. I personally hope Gary presses charges on her since she'll most likely put her hands on him again.

I was chanting for Gary to call CPS, but he didn't. I still think he should. He's got excellent evidence against her (the MTV tapes), as well as witnesses (the film crew). Poor Leah. That's all I can say.

And way to go, Maci and Ryan! I hope when they see the mediator, it'll all settle out.

Farrah...I think the only time she really displays emotion is when talking about Derrick. Still, I do feel bad, and hope Debrah sees the light in the next episode.

Catelynn and Tyler...at least they're going to graduate? I think Tyler would make a great therapist; I wish both of them luck.

I can't believe Amber kicked Gary in his back when he was carrying a tv set down the stairs!!!!! I think the producers should have called the authorities. She's disgusting. How do you keep a bunch of dirty blankets in a sheet-less crib and make your baby sleep in it? You KNOW those blankets must be dirty b/c everything else in her house is a mess. I hate how she constantly throws that baby in her crib b/c SHE can't deal with her.

I feel bad for Farrah with her boyfriend. She's still a spoiled brat. But that just goes to show everyone, appreciate what you have b/c tomorrow, it might not be there.

I think Catelynn will get to graduate. She did the right thing, I think if she had kept Carly, we'd be looking at another Gary & Amber.

Maci & Ryan were so great in choosing days. I hope they can continue being civil to each other.

One question, don't any of these girls believe in a playpen? I lived for that thing when my kids were little. It let them walk around in a 3x3 space (I liked the old fashioned ones better). You put some toys in and they stay safe and busy while you cook, clean, do homework, etc.
