I thought tonight's episode was so good...
Here's my take on Farrah, honestly, I don't think her behavior is from being spoiled, it all stems from her mom, that woman is so CONTROLLING! She is even telling her she cannot mourn over Derek! I also remember her telling her on 16 and Pregnant "Farrah it is over, remember WE talked about this." I mean what is the harm in Farrah seeing Derek's sis? Honestly, I think it would be good for her and Sophia. Maybe she can get connected with his family and Sophia will have her dad's side of the family too, maybe Farrah will grow close to Derek's sister, I think it would be good if she had another young mom to talk to, and Sophia would have a cousin to play with. Her mom got me so mad when she said she had to compassion for Derek, wow, your cold! What could he have done that was so bad that you can't feel compassion for him, his parents, Farrah, and Sophia?I think everything Farrah does is to rebel, she can't really handle her mom.
I completely agree with you about Farrah. I don't think she is as spoiled or conceited as she comes off as. I think her mother did a serious number on her, and Farrah is still learning to function like a healthy person.
I think Farrah's mother is suffering from some serious mental illness. She is very manipulative and controlling. She has a very flat affect and seems to have little empathy.
She is at least as bad a mother as Caitlyn's. In some ways I think Farrah's mother is worse. At least Caityln's mother has had some moments of genuineness and caring, and connected with Caityln in some way. I think Caityln's mother is in many ways the product of a hard life that was probably filled with very little guidance or positive role models. On the other hand Farrah's mother always seems distant. I think there is a much deeper problem with her, and it's led Farrah to be a confused and conflicted person.
