Teen Mom Series Finale

Here are my thoughts:
1. C&T - I firmly believe Brandon and Teresa need to close the adoption. I think this open concept is just killing both C&T's families.

2. Maci - She's incredibly selfish. I hope Ryan takes her to court!

3. Farrah - I don't know of any grown child who treats her parents the way she does. I imagine Sophia will do the same when she's a teen. Its just a vicious cycle.

4. Amber - Wow. I don't know how prison is better than mandated rehab. Its probably for the best that she signed her rights to Gary. Hopefully he and Leah can move on and continue on the right path (btw, Leah is so adorable!)

I usually just lurk on this thread, but a comment caught my eye and I had to comment!

When did Kim call B&T? Was it this season? I can't believe I don't remember that!

It definitely was this season, and it was over a holiday or graduation or something. I know Kim felt awful afterwards, but honestly, I wonder how Brandon and Teresa felt. Carly is their child, and everyone else needs to move on. They're only going to dig themselves deeper.

I don't think Gary is gross, but he does do a lot of pot-stirring, IMO. Next to Amber he looks like a saint, but take a closer look. Much of the drama that happens between them is because Gary pushes Amber's buttons. He knows the way she reacts to things and he seems to quietly delight in causing her to go off. Watch him closely. He knows what he is doing. That said, Amber is most definitely responsible for her own actions.

I think that Gary truly loves Leah and wants what is best for her but I think Amber does too. Unfortunately Amber has so many issues of her own that she in unable to put Leah first. Hopefully she will find her way out of the dark place she is in. I think that both Gary and Amber are missing several chapters of Parenting 101 and I'm really sorry to say so, but I think Leah is going to end up just like them.

:thumbsup2 Glad others are seeing it too! Gary likes to act like he is oh so innocent, but I see that he makes Amber blow up. He knows exactly what to say and do to get the reaction he wants. The whole situation is awful for Leah.

True. But, then again, she blows up at everything.

She even blew up with her mom on a recent show when her mom was trying to talk about Gary getting custody. And, she blew up at Gary when she agreed to take Leah the next day but didn't remember that and said she had to go house hunting.

And, who chooses to go to jail?!

I think I saw that Maci and Kyle split up... is that true? What about Dalis and Ryan...they gotta be split by now... I cant imagine any woman wantign to put up with such a tool like Ryan. He will always let him mom make his decisions.

I think last I saw anyplace, Maci and 40-year-old Bobby Hill broke up then got back together? I think Ryan and dallas are still together.

Thanks for clearing that up. I cannot believe that I missed it! I think that while C & T were pretty upset after their visit this year, they are realistic with their expectations re: visitation and contact with Carly and her parents. I can only imagine how difficult this was and still is for them, especially when they dwell on it so much as a part of the show.

I have always had a lot of respect for Kim - I felt like she was the best of all the Teen Mom parents. BUT, that was a huge boundary to cross, and I am sure that Brandon and Theresa are/were freaked out. It has been pretty easy to see them slowly pulling Carly away from the Teen Mom drama - only allowing still shots to be shown during the visit for example - so it wouldn't surprise me if they do decide to make this a closed adoption. Dawn is great - she's a wonderful advocate for all sides and she really knows how to deal with all the different emotions.

There is a Teen Mom marathon on MTV today and I was catching a bit of it while working on laundry and straightening up the house. Ugh. Each time I think that one of the girls is my absolute least favorite, another one comes along and usurps the previous girl's role. Currently, Farrah is my least favorite. I honestly do not understand her. She has absolutely no friends at all. She can't seem to keep any guy interested. The only people who seem to want to spend any time with her are Ashley and her parents (and, truth be told, I think Sophia is the main reason Michael still deals with Farrah). I just saw the episode where she is talking about how mature she is. She says that she is more mature than any of the 25 year olds that she interacts with. No, Farrah, you aren't. Most times, you act like most 16 year olds that I know. You think that you know everything. Sadly, you know very little. Get a clue, honey. When all of the guys you have dated recently have said that you are immature and have a lot of growing up to do, maybe you should listen. There does come a time when you need to realize that if no one wants anything to do with you, says that you have a bad attitude, and says that you need to grow up, possibly the problem actually is YOU.

Oh, now an Amber segment is about to come up. Looks like Amber will be taking over as my least favorite for the next 10 minutes or so.

Tonight is the series finale. I would like to see how these kids turn out years from now.

I honestly think they'll be surprisingly ok. Except for Amber/Leah/Gary. That is just a sad situation right there.

Catelyn and Tyler will either get married or break up. This show has helped them in so many ways I truly believe. They both graduated high school so that's a huge accomplishment right there.

Maci will be fine. Bentley is an adorable little boy who seems right on for his age (except the pacifier!). Maci and Ryan just need to stop fighting in front of him.

And Farrah, well no doubt she will find someone who's rich enough and dumb enough to marry her. She has an education and she has money (and ****s!) so she'll be ok. Sophia looks like she will probably grow up to be just like Farrah. Well, Farrah and Deborah are raising her!

Oh, I'll play!

In 15 years....

Maci will be on husband #3 (5 fiances in between), with five kids, still no job, spending her days serially calling the exes to ramp up the drama using the kids.

Bentley will have moved in with Ryan.

Farrah will be cycling through whatever business her mother is currenrly fronting for her that she serially takes down because people don't want to deal with her.

Sophia will be Farrah 2.0, the nastiest, snottiest snot who ever snotted, running through boyfriends like water, the mean girl of her high school.

Amber will be living in a trailer, drunk and high, 2 or 3 more kids, no job, no GEd, complaining that Gary ruined her life before she passes out on the couch she spends 90% of her time on, laying under blankets, giant fake eyelashes and bottles of booze scattered around.

Leah will be there, with her own child or two, fighting with Amber when Amber is conscious, after Amber convinced her to come live with her when Leah was like 13.

Caitlin and Tyler will be happily married, with a five-year-old, good jobs working with at-risk kids, a nice house, savings accounts, the whole nine.

They'll see April and Nick, who they had custody of for a while, a lot, and Kim. Butch will have od'ed.

They'll see Carly once a year, and be thrilled to see her headed for a good college and bright future. :)

I saw this, had to share with this thread.

Asked if any of the girls have admirable qualities:
admirable qualities are rare with these girls. Kale is the most level headed and the only one who has potential in being a good mom.

the best person on the show is Cory, Leah's ex. Really sweet guy. He never should of agreed to be on the show. I would have to say that Leah is worst. Lot's of horror stories about her. (says he'll post later when he's not on his phone)

I'm guessing Kale is Kailyn?

Asked if it's scripted:
it's not scripted in the way a narrative would be but the storyline is heavily produced by the director.

It gets to the point where the director is feeding them lines.

On a scale from 1-10, how terrible are these people off-camera:
the worst people i've ever met. absolutely no intelligence.

Did you ever hit on them?
Ha. No, these girls are repulsive Their friends would hit on the crew a lot.
One crew member was caught in the hot tub at our hotel with one of the girls friends. He was promptly fired.

They were in the tub. She asked for his age. He was 38. She started screaming and *beep* hit the fan.

He is bald and always wears a cap. Looks young with the cap. In the tub he took it off. She was like ***!

He says he never shot scenes of Catelynn and Tyler, but did shoot Leah.

Asked if there was anything positive:
the only positive thing was personal experience of the actual births. i've never witnessed a birth before working on the show. it's wonderful thing to see baby born. too bad all of these girls should of gotten abortions!

Asked about the girls' pay:
They are making 150k and up when including the ratings bonus. Less ratings = less money for them. So don't watch the show!

Is the footage used against any of the girls in their court/CPS cases?
Yes. In a few cases of physical abuse.

Why MTV shows this and are they as terrible mothers off camera as on?
they air this stuff because it is extremely cheap to produce and for some reason people watch it.
sadly they are worse moms off camera.

Asked why they end up as teen moms:
Most of their moms were teen moms as well. One girl had a grandma who was 48. And became a great grandma at 48.

"Was Jennelle the absolute worst one or what? Her Mom just sounds like a complete moron as well.":
Barbra does indeed have the worst voice besides being a wino.

"Is Leah as careless as she seems?"
Yes

Asked about if he wanted to call CPS:
every shoot i would want to call CPS. filthy houses (dog poop on the floor, bloody tampons sitting in a corner for months, weeks old food everywhere, etc) one of the worst is Leah, filthiest person i've met.
when feeding her twins she would spill a bunch of cheese puffs on the nasty carpet and the girls would crawl around and suck up the cheese puffs, no hands involved.
this made me cry a few times.

the production company rule was to file your complaint with production manager. if the production manager felt that they were legally bound to submit the complaint to the authorities they would. of course they never did. it took a lot of alcohol to fall asleep. i couldn't take it half way through the 3rd season and quit.

"What was working with Farrah like? Did she treat the crew like *beep* How did she treat her daughter Sophia?"
She was nasty. If we were following her she would slam the door on our face.

On the money they make:
They make a lot. Especially when considering where they live and the cost of living. They spend unwisely. If they were smart they could be set for life.

"Do you feel you have contributed to their systematic "dumbing" of them greater American population?"
Yes

Asked when he can't film:
When they close the door to the bathroom.

"Does production urge couples to get in dramatic fights? Maybe even pit them against each other? Or do they search for unstable people/relationships?"
In the beginning they would set up fights often.

I really liked Corey as well. He seemed such a nice guy, and was really hurt by how he got treated by Leah

Wait, Maci is no longer with Kyle but has been dating a 40yo named Bobby Hill? AND now they are broken up? :confused3

Oh my.

I watched. I found the last couple minutes to be sad especially Amber. Watching the birth and seeing how bad things because was very sad.

I will definitely tune in to the reunion next week.

No LOL I believe that is a slam aganist Kyle. He looks like Bobby Hill and appears to be much older then Maci.

Kyle and Maci are still together according to her FB

I didn't know that Kyle was older than Maci. He seems like he might be a couple of years older. I thought that was so petty of Ryan to want to put a stop to Maci and Kyle living together, when apparently he was talking to his girlfriend about moving in together. Pot meet kettle.
