What type of arrangements do teens make for eating? Is there food at the teen club, or do they just grab and run, or what? We are trying to figure out if our dd is going to have dinner with us at any time.

I don't recall my god daughter mentioning food at the clubs..she ate meals with us in the dining room. There may have been food in the club but she hated the teen club and only went 2 times.

My DS14 last 5/8/04, lived on the chicken strips by the Mickey pool.

There is something so good about them. Crunchy on the outside, so soft and tender on the inside, he just ate them up and can't wait until 6/25/05 to eat them again. I kid you not, that's what he is looking forward to!

I only know of the teen club to offer pizza on some get togethers. I was surprised that he loved to eat with us. He wasn't afraid to ask for something else, or to tweek his order a bit, i.e., no sauces, can I have fries with that.. etc. He loved the desserts but sometimes took off and I brought what he wanted back to the room.

On the night they served lobster, we were eating at Palo's. He had TWO lobsters! He loved it! He and my DS11 went alone and they both had TWO lobsters. They loved going alone. Our servers were so wonderful and took care of them (we of course, walked them in, sat a little, before we left.

Edited to add I just asked my son: They have pizza on certain "pizza party" nights. They had a coke/water bar for drinks. Everyone would go to Plutos or for chicken strips. But when that closes...and they are hanging out, they still get hungry.

One time towards the end of the cruise, when it was late, they tried to order pizza to be delivered to Deck 10. Room service said it had to be ordered to a room. I remember this. I had some kids come to the room, we met everyone and we ordered food, they watched TV and when the food came they took the food and went off. Boy, I just thought they were tired of my interrogation :confused3

Loved the security on the ship. It's tight! :smooth:

My daughter ordered a lot from room service. However, Mom's rules said she had to eat dinner with us. Even though she is 18 that will be mom's rule again for our upcoming cruise. :goodvibes

Our teenage sons always ate dinner with us. I couldn't begin to tell you everything they ate in between that time, I frankly had know idea. I knew where they were on the ship as far as the teen club or movies or arcade but they preferred to eat lunch and snacks on their own. They did sometimes order room service late at night, they loved the opportunity to get what they wanted when they wanted it so we let them, it's something they deffinately don't get to do at home.

Same here....that's the only way we'd see her on the cruise. :)

We, also, insisted that our teenage sons join us for dinner. In fact, DS17 went to our regular rotation on semi-formal night when we went to Palo's. DS13 opted for Pluto's Dog House. They spent so much time up at the Stack, they'd just run down to Pluto's or Pinnochio's whenever they were hungry and take the food up there. They went to Topsider's for breakfast. The only meals they ate with us were the scheduled dinners. But they loved the freedom on the ship. Where were they going to go? Only place was overboard! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So, they can bring food into the teen club? Do kids do that alot? Pick up a pizza and share or stuff like that? Btw, the chicken fingers are going to be a big hit with dd. I suspect that her meals will be mostly either those, or pizza.

I'm assuming that it's ok to bring food into the Stack because my boys did it all the time. They have some snacks up there and DS17 also said if you took up fresh fruit from Scoops, they'd let you make smoothies. Don't think the brass would want to hear that because they charge for smoothies. As far as pizza goes, I don't know if you can get a whole pie. Pinocchio's gives you slices (1/16th of a pie) but you just tell them how many you want. My boys usually got 4 at a time. They are so laid back up in the Stack. DS17 loved the counselors up there (Mary, Chelsea and Karen). DS13 even liked it and he basically doesn't like anything! (A familiar DS13 attitude, I'm sure)

my DS13 hung out with the Stack group and they ate the stuff from deck 9 all day, everyday, perfect teen fare - burgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, ice cream, soda- what else would they want...

Dinner with us was mandatory and will be on the next cruise too. It is the cost of going on the cruise..
