Teen boy souvenir ideas

We'll be visiting in December with my 6 kids, including boys ages 17, 15, 13, and 11. I was wondering about different souvenir ideas that might be available for this age bracket. My younger son will probably burn through his spending money at the LEGO store, but I'm not sure what my other boys might like. They aren't big into characters, so t-shirts and such probably won't work.

We'll be at all 4 parks, so if you have some interesting ideas for what to keep my eye out for, I'd appreciate it. We don't have a large spending budget for souvenirs, so I need to think in advance instead of just playing it by ear.

For my girls, age 9, we'll most likely do the pick-a-pearl at Japan in Epcot along with some other small items; they're still pretty easy to satisfy!

Well my oldest is only 11 so not quite as old as your older boys but he likes the pin trading even if he isn't going to trade, but just to keep. He also likes the Vinylmation collections, make your own light saber and the themed glasses you see in some of the gift shops.

My boys are 19 and 16. Last year, the older guy got a Monorail case for his iPhone because he thought it was cool. They each picked out a t-shirt. Younger DS came home with a Mickey baseball cap because he lost his favorite SF Giant's cap early in the trip (it was found and mailed to us when we got home!). Other than that, they're not heavily into the Disney merchandise. They do like spending money on pretzels, cookies, fun snacks, etc. during the trip.

My guys are 12 and 14. They're both into pin trading, so that's always a hit as souvenirs. Some of the DTD stores actually carry ESPN merchandise, so we've gotten those t-shirts instead of Disney character ones. They also actually like to pick out their own ornaments for the Christmas tree. Every year, they each find something they like and we get one for the family with the year on it. I also picked up drinking glasses for each of them this year, (kind of along the coffee mug idea, but they don't drink coffee.) Got an ESPN football one for my oldest and Haunted Mansion themed one for the youngest.

I was going to suggest a teen girl., but that might be frowned upon!

If they like anime, then the Japan pavilion has some neat stuff. Look for Attack on Titian. Soccer stuff in England or Dr. Who might go over well.

Of course, Lego. HM stuff is neat. Cell phone cases are cool, but only certain ones. Some Disney guy tees are neat, like the turkey leg one, or the monorail one. Magnets. I know that sounds weird, but they can be neat to put inside lockers and stuff. Keychains are cheap and cool. Video games. Also, Disney owns Marvel, so there is a lot of new Marvel stuff there. Make you own droid at Star Tours is neat. Star Tours also has a bunch of stuff for the new Rebels series, so that might be a good choice if they like Star Wars.

Good luck with the teen boys, they are tough.

If you'll be at Downtown Disney, check out Once Upon a Toy. That's the store you can do the container of Potato Head parts, but you can also build your own Lightsaber, create your own Droids and a ton of other Star Wars type toys. They also have trains and pirate stuff. Tons of RC cars and other stuff.

My 16 yr old son prefers to spend money on different snacks t Epcot. He did buy a pair of nice chopsticks at the Japan Pavillion.

He is not into Disney merch and would not wear a tshirt. Maybe just give him the money and let him use it for snacks or things that you don't want to buy. If he does't spend it, he can bring it home.

It so depends on your boys. Many teen boys are not going to want most of the items that might normally be good choices. There are some under stated WDW clothing and ball caps that they might like. My DS, now 22 grew up going to WDW, and through his teens, was still good with character items, though we rarely buy much at WDW. He did get a nice, low key character watch one trip, and a mug or two and I think a key chain maybe. I would give them the amount of money you want to give each child and they can spend it there, or save it. When given that choice, DS almost always saved his money. Some teens are into legos and there are tons of great choices and there are some very cool star wars things at HS.

Swords at china-they have several on brackets in their rooms. They also have daggars or the clay soldiers, chopsticks, dif food and candy at the countries. Candy from Germany-the countries have neat stuff they may like, space food, books on space, car stuff at test trackJapan has neat wooden puzzle boxes

DHS- star wars stuff, Indiana jones, hat or whip,we had a book signed by autor at the bookshop once

AK- hand carved items, bongo drums

MK-pens, pin, fudge and candy from the shop, ornament

I usually find nice things for my adult son at the POTC dump shop. He likes the cool Tshirts. The older dd like the Japan Pav with chop sticks, holders and the candy they have.

Japan has a soda pop that has a ball in the top that is popped inwards and she likes them. I've since found a local market place store that has them at home.
