I just posted a thread on the Resorts Board by mistake (thought I was on the CB!)

When I tried to delete it, it told me I wasn't logged on, but duh, I guess I am if I can post a thread!

What I did was edit it out!

Why is it that I can only delete on the CB, but none of the other boards???

All gone Blondie!

I don't know why some boards don't allow you to edit.

Thanks!

Weird how it tells me I'm not logged in when I try to delete!!

Oh well!

I'm not sure that it is the same message that I've seen but if it is, it is a general purpose message that has more than one reason in the list for why you are getting it. The one that I've seen is something like "You aren't logged on" or "You don't have the proper permissions to do what you are trying to do" etc. If it is the same message it may be telling you that you don't have the proper permissions to delete a post instead of telling you that you aren't logged on.

The way the software works, it is possible to set up so that people can edit a post but can't delete it, even if they were the one that posted it.

This is the message that I've seen. As you can see there are three different situations that will cause this message to come up. In this case, it is obvious that I'm logged in as it even says so in the message so it must be that I don't have permission to do what I was trying to do. (that is the case in that I purposely tried to edit your post, which only you or a moderator can do)
