Team Renfroe trip report with TONS of pics & reviews

After a great breakfast experience at 'Ohana, we took the monorail from the Polynesian to the Ticket & Transportation Center, then transferred to the Epcot monorail. We arrived at Epcot about 10 minutes after rope drop.

We all wanted to ride Test Track again, so we headed that way. The standby time was only 20 minutes, so we jumped right on.

The standby time was still short when we got off, so we jumped back on Test Track for a second time!

Since DW didn't get to ride Mission Space back on Day 4, she decided to ride with DS, but would only ride the GREEN version.

It was raining lightly, so DD & I sat under the Innoventions pavilion while waiting.

We all got back together and went to ride Spaceship Earth.

We all enjoyed Spaceship Earth!

After that, we went over to place inside Innoventions where you can take a photo and email it to people back home. (We thought that would be nice postcard for our family!)

Next, we headed to our favorite hangout...Club Cool!

DS's favorite thing was to make a "suicide" containing a little bit of each drink! He thought that was great! I really enjoyed the Mezzo Mix drink from Germany...it's like Coca-Cola with a hint of orange soda.

So after doing Test Track twice, DW & DS doing Mission Space, all of us doing Spaceship Earth, Innoventions, and Club Cool, we were ready to explore the World Showcase!

Next installment - The Renfroes' trek around the world.

Mine are just the same:rotfl2:

I know what you mean ;) I worry when mine are quiet....:rotfl2: , they love each other dearly and miss each other like crazy when one of them is away even for a couple of hours. But they could lift the roof off when they argue and their not even teenagers yet :lmao: , but then I suppose 2 girls with only 20mths between them maybe I was asking for trouble :bitelip: But you know what I wouldn't change them for the world :lovestruc

I forgot to say that your kids look like they are models!
Can't wait for the next installment.
We are foodies too so am loving all the good pics.

Excellent report and pics. I absolutely love Spaceship Earth and can't wait to see the updated version. What did your DW think of Mission Space Green Version. I've never had the nerve to ride either side. Both my DD's love the Orange side but they have never tried the Green. I'd love to know what she thought of it so I can decide if I'm willing to try it this trip. Thanks for any help. :)

We love Club Cool too. What did you guys think of the Beverly Flavor?

Looking forward to hearing about World Showcase next!!

Still hooked on the trip report! Did DD like Test Track? My DS4 is tall enough, I think we'll try it. He enjoyed all the rides we went on last year when he was 3. DH went on TT and said it's not really rough just fast, I think DS will love that!

Glad DD is feeling better. I threw up at Epcot many moons ago and I still clearly remember it! Hopefully she won't hold onto that "fond" memory!

I happened to notice DD has crocs. Did she wear them walking around the parks? Just wondering how they are for trekking?!

Last year we tried to book Ohana and they were all full so this year it was my first ADR! We're going for dinner though. Maybe they will have some pineapple bread left over.

I am no longer able to see your pictures:furious: Not sure what is going on does anyone else have this problem. There are 1"x1" boxes that say "Upgrade to Pro". I was able to see them earlier today.

Okay, I was wondering if it was just me......what is going on over there at Photobucket?

I am really looking forward to your take on the world!! I think it will be a lot of fun to see how your family enjoys it! I'm just glad your daughter is feeling so much better and can enjoy the day!
I am also curious how your wife felt about Mission Space. I can not wait to go on that....bring it on baby!!

Nice that you got to ride Test Track twice with barely a wait! :woohoo: I remember Club Cool's Mezzo Mix....it was one of the very few that I could stand! Can't wait to hear about your trek around World Showcase, but I can't see any of your pictures you posted from the last update!? :)

Alan, it says you've exceeded your bandwidth at Photobucket...if you need to move some of your pics, you might try Snapfish -- it's free, and I moved all of mine there when Yahoo photos closed down...

Oh, no! No pics! I sooo enjoy having my morning tea with the Renfroes at Disney World :surfweb: . Oh, well, I'll check back later...Guess I'll have to actually get some work done in the meantime. :rotfl:

Thanks to those of you who informed me about the photos on this thread being down temporarily. Apparently, photobucket only allows for a certain number of views on their free service. Anyway, the situation has been fixed and shouldn't be a problem anymore.

I know what you mean! If you are with just one of my kids, you'll not get any problems out of either of them. Put them together, and that could be a different story! Like you said, I think maybe it is naive to think that siblings aren't going to bicker with each other.

I forgot to say that your kids look like they are models!

Wow! Thanks, orangecats2! My sister always told us that our children look a LOT better than either of us! She's right, of course.

Can't wait for the Renfroes' trek around the world!!!!!

Thanks, TigerKat. Next installment is coming up.

Thanks, TCKK. Of course, I never saw the old version of Spaceship Earth, but the new version includes a video screen at your seat, where you can get a "virtual" idea of the future as you see it. Our kids really enjoyed that.

DW LOVED the green version of Mission Space. She's a big Gary Sinese fan anyway. (She thinks he's hot, in that Texas kind of way!) Anyway, she really enjoyed it, but probably would not have liked the orange version. DS said the green version was basically the same thing except the liftoff was not as "fun." Have you ever ridden Star Tours? If you're okay with that ride, you should be fine with the green version of Mission Space.

I had read about the Beverly drink at Cool Club....so I avoided it altogether. However, I let my DS be the guinea pig! I LOVE watching the classic look on people's faces as they experience the Beverly drink for the first time! What are those Italian's thinking? :rotfl2:

I loved Klub Kool ! Did you get the cups ??

Hi englishrose47! What cups? I guess we didn't get them.

Hi bizneydizney! DD LOVED Test Track. It was her favorite ride at park she had visited, (up to this point,) at WDW. DW loved it also. The great thing about Test Track is that it truly is a family ride. It is fast....very fast! But it's not scary. I found that it worked well to inform DD what to expect beforehand. I told her about the breaking part, the intense heat part, the cool part, and then the accelerated part. The first time she rode it, she was holding on tightly! After the first time, she got off saying, "Can we do it again? Can we do it again?" We all loved Soarin' as well, but I think DD and DS liked Test Track even better. I think DS4 would probably be okay if you prepare him for what to expect.

The crocs are not that great for trekking. They eventually begin to rub blisters unless you have socks. I am a firm believer of socks and walking shoes.

Oh, I'm so jealous that you are going to Ohana for dinner! It is a neat restaurant...and you really get that Polynesian vibe. If and when we go again, I want a dinner reservation for Ohana. We DID eat dinner at Kona and LOVED it.

I am no longer able to see your pictures:furious: Not sure what is going on does anyone else have this problem. There are 1"x1" boxes that say "Upgrade to Pro". I was able to see them earlier today.

Thanks, FBandA. The problem has been fixed, so you should have no trouble viewing them now.

Okay, I was wondering if it was just me......what is going on over there at Photobucket?

Hey Dcanoli! I didn't realize that the free version of Photobucket only allows for a certain number of views each month. I had no idea our thread would been seen by so many people!

Anyway, I solved the problem....so we should be good to go.

I am really looking forward to your take on the world!! I think it will be a lot of fun to see how your family enjoys it! I'm just glad your daughter is feeling so much better and can enjoy the day!

Hi, SunnieRN! See the previous post about how DW enjoyed the green version of Mission Space. She really liked it and we tried to get DD to give it a try, but to no avail. DS & I loved the orange version!

Hi Figment's Friend! Sorry about the interuption of the pictures, but we shouldn't have that problem anymore. They are all back now.

Besides Germany's Mezzo Mix, I enjoyed Isreal's drink as well - it was sort of a cross between Sprite and Ginger Ale.

Alan, it says you've exceeded your bandwidth at Photobucket...if you need to move some of your pics, you might try Snapfish -- it's free, and I moved all of mine there when Yahoo photos closed down...

Thanks for the suggestion, Katiebell!

hahahaha....Hi, Barb! Sorry to ruin your morning tea with the Renfroes. I'll make it up to you. I've got the pictures fixed, so I'll post a new installment featuring the Renfroes trekking around the World Showcase! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

After riding Test Track twice, DW & DS riding Mission Space, and all of us riding Spaceship Earth, going through Innoventions and Cool Club, it was time to venture into the World Showcase.

Since we had lunch at Le Cellier in Canada back on Day 4, we decided to go left towards the Mexican Pavilion and move clockwise.

Next was Norway...

While in Norway, we rode Maelstrom. The wait was only 5 minutes, so we jumped right on. We really enjoyed it! DD was a little freaked when she thought we were going to plunge down a huge waterfall backwards, but she was fine after that!

(I tried to get some photos while on the ride, but no flash photography was allowed, and attempts at taking non-flash pictures were not successful.)

Next up - the China Pavilion. This was one of my favorites!

We saw the 360-degree movie "Reflections of China." We all enjoyed it very much....it was a beautiful presentation, and made we want to visit China!
