Team Rebel Alliance Introduction

Hey team,
Today was my recovery day so all I have to report is an awesome nap.

Kirsty - Nicely done on the run. Running in the rain just sounds fun.

Suzann - Good hear you had a good weekend. I can't wait until I get to do all kinds of outside stuff on the weekend.

Tracey - Sorry to hear you were sick last week.

I wasn't planning on posting today, but its becoming an addiction. I was going through serious DISboards withdrawls and I needed my fix. Tomorrow I start my whole program again with a run, an ab workout, and the Chest & Back workout.

Steve

Steve - I beleive i am addicted to it as well every chance I get I am logging in and when my computer looses internet (WHICH IS WAY TO OFTEN) I get very upset with the world wide web lol

good job on the awsome nap, does that count as training? if it does I need to rearrange my schedule.

Thanks I love running in the rain its such a cool feeling, unless there is lightning then it is not a good feeling I believe :scared1: lol

Keep it up guys

Kirsty

Hi everyone!
I had a nice 4 mile run on the TM last night. It's not my favorite place to run, but it's way too cold outside. They were expecting a "hard freeze" last night which would have been horrible with all the spring flowers and trees budding. It also would have destroyed lots of crops, but thankfully, it didn't get that low.:cool1: Now, if Spring would only come back to the area, I'd be a happy girl.
Kirsty....I just realized that you're from England. I bet it's confusing to understand so much of what we say, as we have "Americanized" the English language. I love to run in the rain. Usually, there's no traffic and it's peaceful and quiet.
Steve....Awwww, a nap sounds awesome. I miss college and naps. Enjoy it! Cute new avatar, is that you and your dad?
Rest of the Rebels....where are y'all, we miss you.

I'll be working out to Jillian Michael's today and then I have 75 minutes of Girls on the Run.....hopefully, they all bring hats and gloves because it's gonna be a cold run.

Whats up Rebels,
This morning I did a chest and back workout and my ab workout. Hopefully I'll get a run in later tonight on the running track. Its going to be cold here too. Only a high of 36 and possible snow.

Tracey - Yeah, thats my dad and I at the 2007 WDW half. That was before I knew what I was getting into.

Thats it for now.

Steve

Tracey~ Aren't you ready for it to warm up?? Have fun with Jillian and on your run!

Kirsty~ That's still a lot of laps in my book at the pool ;) And I used to LOVE running in the rain in FL! Ahh, good times!

Steve~ You're rocking those workouts! Have a great day!

Tracey, yeah i'm from england but have been here about 2 years now so I say most of the americanizims myself (just dont tell my grandma i would be in trouble :) ) just occasionally I get my sayings mixed up, its funny how you can speak the same language but hae different words for stuff! Good job on the treadmill, I go about 2 mins then decide i am bored and get off! good job I live in FL and dont have a winter (although it is 60 today and I am a little chilly ;) ) I just love to run in the rain it reminds me of home, when I was there I hated it but now I'm like ooh its raining I want to run !

Suzann - yeah my arms hurt a bit after doing all those laps at the pool but its a good way to keep fit during the hot months down here!

Steve - you are going to be super fit will all the training you are doing :) good job - I wish I was that motivated

Have a good day guys

kirsty

Hey team,
I didn't do my run like I had planned on doing. I'm going to chalk it up to being to cold... yeah that sounds good. Good news is its supposed to get warmer tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to go on a bike ride and really add some miles.

Kirsty - I'm just being nosey. What made you decide to move "across the pond"?

Hey team! I opted out of my run today, why??? Well I got invited out to dinner with my employer, and it would be rude to say no just for a little run right??? OK that is my excuse and I am sticking to it :rotfl:

Steve - its ok to be nosy we are all friends here right? I have always wanted to live here, my family and I have travelled across the pond hundreds of times to come to WDW the first time before I could even walk, from a really young age I have wanted to live here, 2 years ago I was offered the chance to come here as a nanny and jumped at the chance! I just love it here :cool1: BTW cold is also a good excuse, maybe I should have used that one instead ....... hmmm maybe next time :rotfl2:

Kirsty

Wow, this thread has really picked up. Lots of energy going here. (And a tangential note: I'm loving the idea of a WISH Earth Day clean-up, Scott!)

Can you all do a roll call/shout out for all your teammates. I'm trying to keep an updated roster on all teams. After everyone is present and accounted for--or if you've lost some people--just post the updated roster on the thread.

Thanks!

Hey Everyone! It's mixer time!!!!!

We are having a mixer! Jack has once again shown up with an idea. Tomorrow we ALL want to know what your very favorite movie is. I don't mean just a movie you like! I mean the ONE movie that you would choose to have on a deserted island. Just you and the movie!!!

And as long as we are talking movies, what goes better with a movie than the perfect snack??? Tell us about your movie snack. Maybe you do something that is just so kewl that the rest of us need to try it too!!!!

So, choose your movies well!! You are stuck with 'em until you are rescued!!!!

Hey rebels,
Did my Plyo workout this morning. However, I might replace this workout with running from now on because I feel bad for my downstairs neighbors. I'm sure they don't enjoy hearing me jump around for an hour.

Steve

Steve~ Ha, laughing at the downstairs neighbors comment, I have downstairs neighbors too, so I have to be conscious about that too

Kirsty~ That's totally a good reason to opt out of the run ;)

I went to the climbing gym last night for a couple hours.. that felt great!

Whats up team,
I didn't workout this morning like I planned. When I woke up, my back was a little tight so I thought it best to give it a little time. Hopefully my back will feel better so I can workout tonight. Its finally starting to get nice here again so running on a track could be in the future.

I'm also pretty pumped because I just realized that I get to go to WDW in about a month. It's been some time since I've been there and I need my EPCOT fix. I can tell its getting bad when I start checking out the parks on google earth.

Thats it for now. hopefully i can post numbers later tonight.

Hey guys, I missed out on last nights traing because I also have a back problem, lifted the kid and her bike up and somehting went twinge!!! :scared1: but it feels a lot better today so will probably get out tonight :)

Erm I cleaned the house todaydoes that count as excersise? It sure as hell feels like it, just not as fun :(

Steve - I know when I need a WDW fix when I start getting a little too emotional at the commercials for it on the TV and the billboards make me have a homesick kinda feeling :sad2: OK thats really sad I probably just shared a little too much ;) :rotfl:

Suzann - what is the climbing gym? it sounds like fun :thumbsup2

Alright I am off to take the kid to the pool now, shen isn't sleeping at night and her Mom has told me I have to wear her out more during the day .... the only person who is getting more worn out though is me :confused3

TTFN :) :laundy:

kirsty

Steve~ I'm hoping your back is feeling better! Yay for your upcoming trip!!!! WOO HOO! Drink some Beverly for me... ha, no.

Kirsty~ Sorry about your back too! Not good at all! And I consider cleaning the house to be exercise!!! A climbing gym is a place where they have lots of hand grips and foot pegs in the wall so you can climb! If you look at this thread in the first couple of pages (page 4) I put up a picture of one :)

Yesterday I got a run in at lunch, then had bowling at night. Speaking of bowling... I'm leaving in a couple weeks to go to Reno to bowl in a BIG tournament! I get to bowl with and against the pro women and if I make it to the finals I'll be on ESPN! YAY

Suzann - congrats on the bowling that sounds great :thumbsup2 Oh I have been to one of those in England we call them bouldering walls, hence the confusion, I used to do a lot of climbing back over the pond with my dad and my brother but I haven't done any sice I got here, I guess I just got used to having skin back on my fingers lol:cool1:

kirsty

Hey team,
My back started feeling better so I did my arms & shoulder and abs workout. I went pretty hard today and my arms feel like jell-o now (I'm struggling to type this messege).

Suzann - Let me know if you make it to ESPN. It'll be cool to watch someone I know on there.

Kirsty - I know that homesick feeling, but instead of home its disney. Its pretty fun never growing up.

Hey guys! :goodvibes

I just got in from a quick 2 miles, I took the do, which I normally hate to do because she is a pain in the butt! But she sits at the door while I get ready and cries :confused3 she is only a baby and just hasn't got walking down yet, and she is either pulling me off my feet or stopping dead to lookat stuff, none of which is good for my continuity during the run :cheer2: but today my willpower to leave her at home all alone just wasn't as good as it usually is and I broke and took her with me! to my amazement she was amazing, and heeled the whole time, I had to keep looking down to make sure it was me dog :) anyway I managed to keep my 10 min mile pace and for the last quarter mile ran 8 min mile (which for someone with my length of legs I think is impressive :scared:) so I think I might have to take her with me more ofter now, which is good because I normally have to run, come home and shower then take her to the dog park to burn off some energy, it leaves very little time for TV! So all in all a good night :woohoo:

Steve - I get homesick for Disney more than I get homesick for home! I miss the mouse more than my family ..... is that bad????? :rotfl2:

Everybody else - hope everything is going well :goodvibes

Kirsty

Haha, Kirsty what do mean you miss the mouse more than family. Mickey is family. Well... he always shows up at my family's vacations anyway. What kind of dog do you have? I have a dog too, so I know how taking him/her for a walk/run can be. Right now my dog is at my parents house because he actually has a yard to run around in there. I really miss having him cause trouble in my apartment (never thought that would happen).

Here is Moose when he was cute and yes, he is wearing my bandana as a cape.

055-1.jpg

This is Moose now. 50+ pounds of terror.

Ok, I'll shut up about my dog now. Once I get started on Moose, its hard to stop.

No way! is that a german shorthaired pointer??? Thats what I have, ahe is called pepper, she just turned one and she looks nearly identical to moose!!!! I have no idea on how to put pic on here but I will try to in the morning! When I am less sleepy! :thumbsup2

Your right the Mouse does show at all my family vacations as well!!! It might have something to do with me having ALL my vacations at his house?

Kirsty
