Team Rebel Alliance Introduction

Hey rebels,

Nothing to report today, I really wanted to get out for a run (I must be starting to get fitter because I get that itching feeling, like I need to run if I dont go in a few days :confused3) But we were on tornado watch most of the day, we have dropped down now to a severe electrical storm watch but I dont like the idea of being zapped while out on a run, that might sound energizing but I think it might cause some problems :lmao: so no run for me today :( I should just be grateful that the tornado didnt hit us and we still have a house and a car, unlike some people in neighbouring counties :guilty:

I am getting fast food tonight so I will HAVE to go out tomorrow, lightning or not :yay:

Hope everyone has a good night :flower3:

Heads up, dear Wish teams, members and fans! We are doing another mixer. This one is dedicated to Vicky, our own little bunnyfoo!

The question is this: What is your favorite vegetable recipe? Double points if it is not just a sidedish or salad! The points can be cashed in duing marathon weekend when you see how your recipe helped us all become lythe and sleek, knowing beyond a doubt that we, all of WISH, are the best team there!!

Can't wait for dinner, now! See ya! Connie, captain of Hakuna Matata!

Kirsty~ A tornado watch? That would keep me indoors for sure!!! Ha

Steve~ Its hard kicking the coffee habit!!!

As for me, I did a circuit training workout at the gym for lunch and then went to the climbing gym after work. Tonight I have bowling :goodvibes

Whats up team,
Im afraid I don't have any numbers to report today. It was supposed to be a cardio day, but the cut on my foot is almost healed and I don't want to tear it open again. Tomorrow I leave for south carolina for the weekend so maybe I can get some running or biking in and of course a little golf. Hope everyone else is doing well in their training. Later.

Hey guys whats up?

I just got back from a laid back 3.2 miler and feel pretty good about it, it was not my PR by far but i just kept it chilled and enjoyed myself after a weekend of not so happy runs :goodvibes I found a nice little place to run, its 1 mile round a lake, so I just lap it 3 times, and its marked around the course on how far you along the mile you are, the only thing is is that my garmin isnt staying on track with the course, it says I have run more, (and I am inclined to believe it because ... well just because!) I wish I could figure out which was wrong as it is annoying

Suzann - No more tornado warning, so no excuses today :)

Steve - I gave up caffiene a while back, it takes a while but you get used to life without it, I am now totally caffiene free :thumbsup2 Hope your foot feels better, and enjoy your trip :3dglasses

Thats all for now folks :dance3:

Speak soon

Hi Rebels! I have been MIA for almost two weeks, no good excuse other than busy, busy, busy... looks like I've missed 4 pages of posts! Someone's son (Tracey?) runs like the wind, only faster, Kristy has had good days and bad but runs more than I can even imagine, two people have german shorthaired dogs (I have a St. Bernard pup the size of a miniature horse and an old shih tsu), I've missed giving up goodies, cookie cake and P90x workouts... anything else?

I've finished my gym's weight loss challenge and with it have fallen off the workout wagon, so to speak. Still doing my long runs on Sundays (12 miles two weeks ago and 20 this past weekend - yes, on Easter!) but have bailed out of bootcamp and weekday runs. Went to the gym today for an hour of cardio but after 35 mins on the treadmill my head was splitting so I went home to ice it. I need to get back on track!!!! I have a 1/2 M in 18 days and I really want a PR. This weekend will be a 13-15 mile run at the beach (notice I said AT not ON, tee hee) then next weekend is only 8 miles...

I'll try to check in more often, I was so happy to be put on a team and then I proceeded to flake out! Sorry!!

Have a great day all, Tammy

Hey guys, just a quick stop in before work, my boss gave me an extra hour off to sped in bed since I worked late yesterday and I was very proud of myself, instead of lying in I went for a jog along the water front. Just ann easy 2 miles but a nice way to start the day

Have a good one guys

Kirsty

Kirsty, have you decided about the DL 1/2 yet? I'm doing it too! I live in Southern CA so I don't have the same expense as you, but hey, I came there for the Princess 1/2 ...

I hope you can make it, it would be fun to meet!

Hey

no I havent made my mind up yet :confused3 I just cant seem to decide, one minute I think its worth the cost and the next I can think of a million other thing I need the money for, but I really would like that medal :goodvibes will you be down for the WDW marathon weekend? It would be cool to meet up :)

Kirsty

Whats up everyone,
I just finished Shoulders & Arms and Ab Ripper X. I am already starting to see a difference in my biceps and my chest so I'm pretty excited. My foot seems like its getting better so maybe ill be able to start running soon.

Kirsty - nice job on the morning run. I probably would have slept in

Tammy - nice to see you back and good luck on that half thats coming up.

I guess I should start packing since I have to leave for the airport in an hour. Talk to you guys later.

Steve

Hi Team!
Allyson here. Just did a 3 mile walk with my neighbor. We occasionally run together but she is having knee issues (getting a cortisone shot later today) and so we just walked. It is a BEEEautiful day here in New England so it was nice!

I did run last week and this week. Sloooowly getting back into it. I tried running again with the dog and it was awkward. He is too fast for me and tends to zig zag BUT I think with some work we could improve. I'd like to, I think it would be a good thing for him to burn that energy and he did seem to enjoy it. We'll keep trying!

Have a great weekend and great workouts!

Allyson

And whoa, your dogs look so much alike! That is funny and freaky! And they are so cute!

We used to have a pointer mix that had similar markings on the body but not a solid colored head. He was a good dog, quirky, but good!

Allyson

Hi there Allyson! Great job running!

Steve~ Have a GREAT trip!

Kirsty~ Way to go with the workout in the morning!!!

Tammy~ It'll be ok, we'll help you back onto the wagon :)

I didn't have anything to post from yesterday, just a chill day for me.

And a chill day can be very nice! :goodvibes

What if you have 14 chill days in a row? Is that still okay? :rolleyes1

Okay, seriously, I'm back on the wagon! I'm hoping to get in a light jog this evening, but we'll see how the day progresses. I've been so tired after work. My co-worker has been out all week with pneumonia, so I've been all alone this week. We finished up a firm-wide food drive last week, so I got to do all of the coordinating of the food and money and prizes and final calculations. Plus, I was very busy with all of the regular daily work. By the time I get home every day, I'm stressed and tired. Plus I haven't been getting much sleep... I've been pretty much a zombie these last few days. I'm hoping to turn that around starting this weekend, though. We'll see...

Hey

no I havent made my mind up yet :confused3 I just cant seem to decide, one minute I think its worth the cost and the next I can think of a million other thing I need the money for, but I really would like that medal :goodvibes will you be down for the WDW marathon weekend? It would be cool to meet up :)

Kirsty

Kirsty - no, I'm planning on coming back for the Princess 1/2 again, although honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. I'd like to come in Jan but can't afford two trips so close together, and my girlfriend in Lakeland said she wants to do the Princess next year... I just hope she follows through and actually does it or I might regret choosing March instead of January!

Steve - where are you going?

Allyson - I used to run with my golden retriever. He was forever tripping me until I taught him to run alongside me - OFF LEASH. Then he was great! It took some work, but I loved having him there, especially at night. Poor guy passed away a few years ago and my St. Bernard isn't really a running dog. I might have to get a visla, hahaha!

Suzann - thanks! I probably need a swift kick in the b*tt to get back into the swing of things! So, pull right leg back, flex foot, prepare to swing at me...

Hey guys nothing to report today, had a chill day, its the kids birthday party tomorrow and she has severe food allergies so I spent all day making cupcakes, cookies and a birthday cake, which is quite a challenge without egg, wheat, dairy and soy!!!! So by the time it came to run I was full of cake batter and cranky from a sugar rush gone south! So I took Pepper to the dog park and plan on a run in the morning before volunteering!

We also have grandparents flying in tonight for 4 days so I will have to get out of the house for a break at least once a day, if thats not motivation to run I dont know what is!

Keep up the good work guys and Happy Friday :)

Kirsty

Whats up Rebels,
I'm in South Carolina right now and the weather is great. Unfortunately the exercising kinda fell off when I got down here and so did the whole eating healthy thing (but thats what Moms do I guess). I did take my dog for a short walk yesterday to spend some with him since I haven't seen him in awhile. Today I went to the driving range for an hour and 15 minutes and tomorrow I'm playing 18 holes with my dad. I guess golf counts as something even though its not quite as good as lifting and running. Hopefully I can get back into the flow of things when I get back. Right now I'm headed to a Scottish festival near Charlotte. Does drinking scotch count as exercise? It sure does burn like exercise. Talk to you guys soon.

Steve

:stitch: 'Ohana Monday Mixer :stitch:

And now for a bit of silliness, just because... :teeth: The mixer starts here.

This week's mixer theme is "Superpowers That Would Be More Trouble Than They're Worth," and your question:

What would be the superpower you would end up being granted?

Some examples:
  • The ability to tell the future, but only one minute ahead of time.
  • Super-strength, but only in your thumbs.
  • The ability to read the minds of people whose language you don't understand.
  • The ability to see through one layer of clothes.
  • Super breath, strong enough to knock down your opponents. Unfortunately, it's because you're smells like garlic and you always have that power.

Of course, your superpower is unique to you. So feel free to tell us what you would do with your power or why you got so lucky as to be given it. :rolleyes1 Bonus points--again, they're worth nothing--for telling us what superpowers you think other WISHers might get. (Keep it DIS-friendly, though, folks!)

Whats up Team,
I don't really have anything to report. My golf game got rained out yesterday so the weekend was kind of a bust for exercise. I did get to see my dog for the first time in over a month so that was nice. I also took a pics of Moose doing moose things.

I also got to see him swim for the first time so that was cool.

Its supposed to rain for the next few days here so I doubt I will have anything to post other than P90X stuff. I hope everyone else's training to going well.

P.S. Three more weeks until my Disney trip :woohoo:
