I see I missed a good time last night with the end of the mixer. I was exhausted yesterday for some reason, and climbed into bed early for some reading (really, sleeping).

Ohana Cousins: If you haven't given them to me, I need your numbers! I'll be posting our February totals on the first page and will update the February Totals on the first post of this thread as I get them!
Richard: Wow, that run was quite a bit longer than promised, wasn't it. Apparently, they calculate mileage like I do. To me, there's a HUGE difference between 7.5 (or 8) and 10.1. You're a strong person to tough it out with your running group. Is your dryer fixed? Maybe you should just hang your clothes by the air conditioner and run it?
Corinna: We have great taste in bourbon, don't we? (I use DOOD as my excuse for drinking, but like you I just like it. Mmmm.) Okay, now that Cabaret is over with, you must see Wall-E and The Dark Knight. Unless I can convince you to see
Watchman (which will be a train-wreck of an adaptation, I predict) at the first midnight showing this weekend. DOOD doesn't want to do the midnight show and I need a date. We could be virtually movie-watching together.
Maria: I really get that Dennis doesn't like the travel part of vacation. We choose to fly whenever possible for the same reason. As long as we feel the same way about Riker... And you have to remember that I tend to think of PA as centrally located after having lived in Fargo. Truth be told, I tend to think of Pgh as nirvana after having lived in Fargo.
Great job on getting your TM time in (and for getting it serviced regularly). I know your March goal is consistency, so big kudos on that! (And for the Lenten treatlessness.) How are you enjoying yoga?
Bryan: I just loved how you described how your runs differ depending on whether you think about stresses or blessings. No wonder you're a distance runner--so uplifting!

Be warned, I loved
The Dark Knight so you have to pretend to feel the love, too, on 2nd viewing.
Dave: I love the power tunes. I love The Cars and never would have guessed you do, too. I admit, though, I'm also fond of the Panda "ramblings."
Jackie: I know what you mean by Gabriel's song. I do like it better on 2nd and 3rd listen, although it sounds too predictably Gabriel for my taste. I liked
Wall-E much better on repeated viewings, too, although I liked it on the first. (A little disappointed by the happy ending, but hey! That's my problem.)
Big congratulations on getting your run in. It's really, really hard to get back out there--or worse, get back on the TM--after a slump. You feel better afterwards (mentally, at least) but it's such a block to overcome!

And yes, the Pilates....I know EXACTLY how you're going to feel tomorrow. (Guess what I did today.) Great job on meeting your March fitness goal!
How is Sienna's UTI? And DD and college plans? (I'm not sure it makes sense to ask about those things back-to-back, but...)
Lily: I have to say, that I get that whole image of you running & thinking of yourself in a church or spiritual place. During the marathon, even when you were struggling, you had this kind of beatific smile on your face.
Julie: You don't mind frosting in your hair AND you clean up? You must be a parent. You're so invited to my next bash.
Marci: I love the memo board and am so envious about the word WISH. I going to need to go through some pictures and start compiling. Why wait for official training, right?
Vicky: On the TM I'm a clock watcher, too. B.R. (before running) I always used to wonder why people draped their towels over the monitors. Now I know. I've tried to plan my day after running, but nothing really stays with me. I envy those of you who can process your thoughts.
Jen: It's good to see you here--things are looking up in your neck of the woods, I hope! I'd love to hear the stories you make up while on the road. DOOD does admit to making up (nasty) stories about all those drivers who seem to view pedestrians as moving targets. How is butt kicker, btw? I call the various TMs at my gym names, but none affectionately.
Jeanne: So, we'll be brining margaritas to the next mixer, just for you and Dave. That's a drink you can enjoy during Lent.

That is, assuming you'll be back from the Princess? You're going to do great, btw, and more important you're going to beat the Greek! If you see Speedo Guy, ask him about the bib, will you? I'm sure he gets that question a lot.
Wonderful, wonderful news about Nancy's healing. I know she's being a very good patient--oh, how hard that is--and I'm sending PD for an easy and short course of treatment.
Jack: Nope, no bottle opener. But you strike me as the kind of guy who might just have a spare one handy...
Allie: You have just given me all the justification I need for my Garmin!

Oh, and I can easily tell the difference between my bargaining self and those other voices in my head. They all sound like they are acting in a Mel Brooks film.
These posts might have gotten lost in the thread/mixer:
OTHER NEWS

- Richard, the Treehouse Villas. Confirmed!
- Jeanne, probably Poly. Confirmed!
- JenB, undecided, probably not Beach Club DVC
- Denny, SSR and waitlisted for Treehouse Villas. Confirmed!

- Who am I missing?
Shout-out to the cousins...What's your #1 fitness goal for March?
- Maria: Consistency
- Jackie: ANYTHING
- Debra: The Self Challenge.
- Kathy: Princess, then continue training for CMM
As for me: Middlemarch still makes me wish I was reading Austen's
Pride and Prejudice. I mean, can you beat the latter's first sentence? “It is a truth universally acknowledged, a man with a considerable fortune must be in need of a wife." Oh, yes, Maria and I are soul sisters on this one.
My #1 Fitness Goal for March is, as I said above, The
Self Challenge. What I'm hoping it will do for me is help me increase the intensity at which I train (rather than duration) and create more balance in my WOs. Oh, yeah, and enable the stalled weight loss. (See how I've created multiple goals there? I'm so sneaky.)
