Team Goddess - Volume 11. Rocking 2012 Goddess Style!

Hi Goddesses! Good luck to the running princesses. They are starting to assemble and party as I type.

I am heading to St Louis this afternoon. We were there last weekend. Sue spent much of both days visiting with her mother in the nursing home. Monday we heard that her kidney values were alarmingly bad and she was going back to the hospital. She's been there since, though I think they moved her to the lesser of the ICU last night (step down?). Sue has work things pressing and is getting wrung out. I had offered several weeks ago to "take a shift". So that's what I'm doing. I won't be a constant presence as DGF and her sister are. I told her it would be more the John (her brother) level of care. Shorthand, but she knew exactly what it would be ; )

I'll get to see my family some, too. DNiece has a string concert Saturday afternoon. Good times and we'll get to talk Disney! I'll return Sunday.

I had a lapse this morning and weighed myself two weeks early. I felt like I had put on everything I had lost, so I hopped on the scale. Down 4 from last month, 11 total. Phew. So perhaps I have been gaining a little (or it's just the PMS-y bloating), but I'm still going in the right direction.

3 are in Orlando already, 3 will fly in tomorrow am and the native will meet us there! My boarding pass is printed, my packing list is by my side and after one last quick trip to the grocery store I should be all set to pack it into the suitcase!

Ronda - I've been thinking about you guys. I'm so sorry to hear things are still not good. I'm sure it must be completely draining - both physically and emotionally. I think it's so wonderful that you are giving Sue a much needed break. Enjoy your nieces concert. What a great bonus for both her and you that you'll be able to be with her for that. And DISNEY TALK! Exciting. Please remind me when your trip is - I know we overlap but I'm not sure where!

Ronda - First, I'm very sorry. Sighing. And good for you - and a given for a loved one of course - for you giving her a much needed break. It's exhausting on so many levels - as of course you know. Rambling.

And I've always found that during these moments one has to make a conscious effort to focus - focus - focus - on some happy items on the horizon. Conscious effort to add in something fun. Or at least peaceful. Jean and I realized that too late in the game with Mama and Jean was so worn. We both were. But her it was doubled. With my mom I've learned to not go into it every time because of what I learned looking after Mama. Easier said than done. Cause you do. I make no sense. I mean that if you get totally drained - emotionally and physically - well it helps no one. So good for you.

The brain can only take so much. Once Jean missed a well known - many time travelled - exit to meet me and travelled for at least an hour and phoned and had no idea how that happened or where she was (not her at all). Her brain/being was shot. So yeah for your Disney trip which is coming very quickly, eh? Yeah for you. Love to hear about it here too. Makes me smile.

Nancy - it's HERE. So excited for you. Give me bib #s when you can. I realized there's s a link for spectators where I *think* I can follow. So excited for you all.

Oh and the goats. Too funny. Monday was Family Day here and we were going to Jean's brothers to have supper. And I thought I better not get goat - there will be more births.

And there was. We cooked instead. Saved a goat. I had breadfruit though. I love me some breadfruit. YUM.

Sorry! I am in all out pre-trip running around panic mode. I leave my house for the airport in 12 hours. TWELVE. And yes, note the time please. I leave assearly in the morning.

Packed? Um, no. Started, not yet finished. But laundry is done!
House clean? Oh Lord, it is a disaster of epic proportions!
Meals cooked? Not even one. But I went grocery shopping.

So yeah, no time to Dis. BUT, I will check in and update when at the airport at screw-me-it's-early-thirty.

My ABS light turned on and the 4WD light is flashing. It seems like it's just the tone ring- a common and easy problem to fix with my car, but ugh.

Down 1.5. Yeah! Was a good one. Sometimes the weight comes and body is same. Sometimes the scale doesn't move but the body changes. This week BOTH. Big difference. And it's becoming difficult for me to imagine myself at the weight I want to be. So I guess that means Lisa has no wants for small!!!

Our snow storm - that was Jo's issue too - came as ALL rain. Those little weather people - spank their bottoms.

Just checking in after an awesome day. Spent time at Magic Kingdom. Lunch at the Plaza--always a fave Then back to okw for drinks and down time. Jo arrived!! Dinner at Olivia's. Then half went back to MK and other half to hot tub. A great day and we are all here! Longer update tomorrow.
