I wanted the flip flops with UT on them, and the only size that was sold out, was mine!

Oh, I don't have a tree in my bathroom! :rolleyes1

I shave my legs every OTHER day.
Me too. Don't want to gross my ownself out!

Jen#1 ;-)

I founf you on facebook and sent you a freind request. I also sent to everyone who is here a thing letting them know to add you as a friend!

okay blonde at heart here....................are you saying you have no hair on your legs?????

Honestly.. nearly none... what I do have is a reddish blonde.. so it does not show up unless it gets longer. It's like the hair on my arms fine and hardly noticeable.
It's been like this for about 4 years.

WOW! Thank you! Someone from HS already found me... but sadly... I'm trying to remember her... :confused3

Now what do I do?

Honestly.. nearly none... what I do have is a reddish blonde.. so it does not show up unless it gets longer. It's like the hair on my arms fine and hardly noticeable.
It's been like this for about 4 years.
That is just not FAIR!

BTW... I do gross my own self out... I shave weekly!pirate: Legs that is... pits = DAILY!

Dear Diary:

I will find 78 people to buy gifts for next Christmas, with said newly purchased gift tags.
:lmao:

Oops--missed the first Slate quote about the gift tags!

Yep - all that too...Plus - I'm hitting the big 4-0 next month and I'm pretty darn upset about it...

:
Whoa...........wait a minute.............you sound like me LAST year!
But guess what?? Janet sent me a 40 button.......and I felt all better! And now I'm turning 41 <<cough cough on Jan 13>> and I"m waiting on the next button to help with this one!

Seriously....it's not all bad.......plus working in a nursing home, I get constant affirmation of how young 40 is! (and several questions about whether or not I'm single.....regardless of my current weight!) :snooty:

_________________________
Well, Did I tell y'all that we went to see LEgally blonde the musical??
main_header3.jpg

It was great! Really funny and the Kennedy Center was neat! It was well worth the trip!
Got to tour the US capitol too (you can go online and book tour now) and we saw the Gettysburg address and Declaration of Independence and such...........my shining moment as a parent was when...........after waiting in line 21 minutes to view the Declaration...........BA says "where's George Bush's name??"
<<sniff sniff>> so proud of our public education... (she swears she meant George Washington.........but the damage was done!):lmao:

TE! It's about time! You missed CE calling us short people midgets.

When you gonna post pics of what your SS gave you? I hear it was gud stuff.

So what's everyone up to tonight? I see Rachel has a bottle of wine and Mel shaved her legs. I decided I needed more therapy, so I hit two more Targets. But ladies, I did a bad bad thing today. I got a McDouble off the $ menu.......keep in mind that I have only eaten turkey and rice for the past 5 days and haven't had fast food since maybe 12/19 or 12/20. Whoa Nelly! And Jen thought she was having pains resembling contractions. :rolleyes1

Speaking of McDonalds, has anyone noticed changes in your areas? One mgr told me they have had 5 price changes this year. The double cheeseburger on the $ menu has been replaced with the McDouble which is two patties, but 1 slice of cheese. I don't know why I felt the need to share this. :rolleyes1

And honestly, I wanted so much more for myself so staring at 40 and looking where I am now, and what's coming ahead in the next few months (or lack thereof) is freaking me out gals...

Oh crap, I feel a pity party coming on...gotta go...

I owe, I owe,
Back to work I go...

Aw, sweetie. I understand, though. Not to brag on myself, but I was a valedictorian, and never really expected, at 36, to be sitting around at home. I do recognize that I haven't pushed myself much, and I think my kids are important and great, but... Sometimes I get really down on myself for this. I don't know what I thought I'd be doing, but...

ce-- my grandmother was the same exact way. copd and anxiety. i know exactly how you feel.

Whew, good to know it's not just her.

Besides, we have a date to ride Indy together!

Well, NOW I'm jealous... ;)

I'm wondering, those of you with the Wii Fit, if it's worth the $. What does it do? Exercise for me? Seriously, though, does it come with stuff or is it just a board and I have to buy other stuff?

I kind of answered on the group thing, but I really do think it's good. As Mary says later, the workouts are short (at least the beginner ones) but I did 20 minutes today and loved every minute of it. Plus, it's pretty darn motivating.

*** popping back out for a while to deal with end of year admin stuff at the office ***

Hope you had a good day, Mr. T. ;)

And mine keeps telling me how unbalanced I am. Like I need that reminder.

My mother keeps asking, "mentally, or physically, do you think?" :headache: :rotfl2:

I resent it, have fun at Target and don't forget my milkduds

You might just be surprised... :rolleyes1

I wish I was kidding, Mel. I really do. It just told me again this morning that I'm very unbalanced.

We're soul mates! :thumbsup2

Mine are a little older, 67 & 96, but maybe it's their generation.

The thing that amazes me is thinking about D's stepdad - you know, the 80th birthday party next weekend? So, he's roughly 2 1/2 years younger than grandma, still goes to work every day, traveled to France and Israel this year, etc., etc. What a difference! And my dad will say that though his parents both passed away under 80, they were out living life to the fullest. I am sad that 82 isn't that old, but this is happening. Of course, I think a lot of it is the mental stuff, not the physical... Sigh.

And waiting at home was a lovely brown box with these inside:

Those are lovely - well, except the UNC flops. But then, I just don't like UNC. :rotfl:

I broke down and bought the furry Crocs for 1/2 off at a local shoe store. I LOVE them. I swore they were only for dog-walking, but I wear them everywhere.

YI wear Croc flip flops year round.

Showoff. :snooty: :rotfl2:

Today I purchased 78 gift tags for next Christmas. I will find an appropriate locale and make a separate entry to note their location.

S'late

OK, I went to Target and bought tags, too, but I only found packages of 52? Why did you get more? HOW did you get more? :rotfl:

Here's some more Christmas tree photos:

I am rather supremely impressed that you have trees in your bathrooms.

After that we will be home. AFter Jimmy is in bed we will count down the NY with Dick Clark

I still don't know what we'll do. I probably should have made reservations. I have built-in babysitters.

I'll be here tomorrow night, I am stuck at work so why not celebrate with my online buddies.

And, see, I'd love to do this, but I'd probably get the "look". :rotfl:

Picture time again!

That's a very cool bathroom!

I did 3 loads of laundry (dried and put away too!), took down the tree and decorations and packed them away, cleaned, hoovered, dusted and mopped the entire main level, got the boys' hair cut, picked up yet another friend (OMG), baked a banana bread, ordered pizza for dinner and SHAVED MY LEGS. I am amazing! Does this NOT warrant ON THE TOP updating????

WOW!

I did laundry, but didn't shower. Went to Target, even. I did something SO amazing, it has to wait until my bottom update!!!

Ah, that's a great idea. Someone can be the "Focker Memory" and keep a handy computer document with anything we want to remember later....

I'm actually fairly good at this, let me know if you're serious. ;)

WHOA WHOA... Shaved your legs ????...

I shave every time I shower. As you all well know, that's not every day, but it's darn close.

Our anniversary is Sunday. I bought dh 2 sport coats on black friday and told him that would be his anniversary gift. So then, I had to go out and buy something else because I can't not give him something on our anniversary. I got him a Coach wallet (myself one, too) and a wii remote charging station.

You're good. We don't do anniversary gifts, as a rule.

Reminder to self - read page 110 on. Gotta take the massive amounts of trash out - may be back later or tomorrow. Have a great evening, all!

Self, I remembered! :rotfl:

I have mucinex, will it make me cough more, it hurts like child birth to cough. Seriously... like the 23 hours of labor I had.

Well, that's too long of a labor.

Hi I'm back ! I am sooo far behind at work I don't know if I can catch up !! My computor crashing bfors Christmas put me so far behind it's not funny !! Plus I have to do an overnight check tonite so I am trying to decide whether I'll go in at 1am or wait til 4 pm and stay !! I will be sooo glad scheduling wise and work wise when thw holidays are over !!

Hi, Rosie. Good luck!

I founf you on facebook and sent you a freind request. I also sent to everyone who is here a thing letting them know to add you as a friend!

I didn't get the thing from you, :snooty: but I found her. :rotfl:

And now I'm turning 41 <<cough cough on Jan 13>> and I"m waiting on the next button to help with this one!

Gee, when's your birthday again? :lmao:

my shining moment as a parent was when...........after waiting in line 21 minutes to view the Declaration...........BA says "where's George Bush's name??"
<<sniff sniff>> so proud of our public education... (she swears she meant George Washington.........but the damage was done!)

:rotfl2:

Hey, JenM? Miss you!
***********************************************
Know what I did today?

I CLEANED MY JUNK DRAWER. I bought a bunch of organizer bins for the drawer, and threw junk away, and made little bins for keys, flashlights, tools, rubber bands, etc.

D was always a little upset that I built a "junk drawer" into our brand new kitchen from the get-go, but you NEED a place for this carp. But now it's at least easy to see.

So, yeah. D & Buzz had a great time skiing, my dad seemed happy to go. Mom, Woody, Grandma & I went to Target, then came home. I did the drawer and Woody made ;) some brownies. We had spaghetti for dinner, and then watched my beloved Illini whomp Purdue in OT. :thumbsup2

I might take the tree down tomorrow - I've kind of stopped watering it, so it's probably time. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We're supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow, so any NYE plans I might make might get squashed, anyhow.

Good night, all! :grouphug:

TE! It's about time! You missed CE calling us short people midgets.

Who, me??? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

It's gotten more expensive. Of course, this is the Northeast, so I get all excited when I drive "home" to Illinois and it's several bucks cheaper.

I am sorry, but I flat out love McDonald's. It's not the kids, it's me. Thus the need for the Fit.

OMG!! I actually clicked on TE`s profile because I thought her birthday was today!!! :lmao: going back to catch up on what I missed whilst I was working..:thumbsup2

Who, me??? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Good thing they introduced the McDouble! They thought they were being sneaky with the one piece of cheese, but it's less calories so we get the last laugh, right?

And BTW, doesn't everyone have Christmas trees in their bathrooms? :confused3 I don't have one in the 3rd bathroom cause it's too small.....hmmm  a sledge hammer will fix that problem! That bathroom is cool too; red walls and a zebra print shower curtain. It started as a shopping theme, but I never put up the border.

 Last night DH got off the Fit board because he couldn't do something. His trainer said, "this thing doesn't exercise itself, you know!" :rotfl:

There you go! :rotfl:

Cool. No, my bathrooms are tiny. We have only two - full baths, one up, one down (where there are no bedrooms, so I don't get it, but it was 1974...) and we redid the upstairs one, the downstairs is our next project. Anyway, they are both SO narrow that when I was pregnant, I had to lift my belly over the counter to get in and out. :rotfl: When we redid the upstairs, we eliminated the vanity in favor of a pedestal, which works because there is a closet up there. The downstairs is the same size, but the closet door opens to the hall in it, and becomes the pantry. Anyway, it's lucky we fit in, let alone any decorations... Sigh. I want a master bath.

 Last night DH got off the Fit board because he couldn't do something. His trainer said, "this thing doesn't exercise itself, you know!" :rotfl:

Oh, no! I was pleased as I lost 14 years between this morning and this evening. I'm actually down to 31 as my "Wii Fit Age" - and I'm 36. I'm thrilled! Apparently they were very impressed with my second balance attempt. :rotfl2:

And Jen thought she was having pains resembling contractions. :rolleyes1

How did you get from that... to that? :confused3

I haven't seen the latest McD's menu. I know my DH ordered me a double cheese burger a few days ago though.

I love the cheese! I ditch one of the buns though.

No that is a new one for me! Very cute!

TE! It's about time! You missed CE calling us short people midgets.

When you gonna post pics of what your SS gave you? I hear it was gud stuff.
She did WHAT??? Well, that's an automatic 50 point deduction and a probable un-invite to your inauguration party.....oops.........that was a surprise, right??

Pictures??? Uh.....you do realize that I still haven't downloaded my puppy pictures from June, right?? He's now 70 pounds!

But I'm SO loving the SS stuff! Can't wait to wear the Cheer mom swag next week at the competition!
And I've already worn the necklace 3 times......it was a necklace right?? Cause BA thought hair band at first, but given that I needed a silver necklace, I went with that! :thumbsup2

Does it mention that my birthday is 1/13????

OMG!! I actually clicked on TE`s profile because I thought her birthday was today!!! :lmao: going back to catch up on what I missed whilst I was working..:thumbsup2
oh......and trust me........you'll ALWAYS have advanced notice of my birthday! :lmao:

Ok folks, I had not seen the light of day in a week and no outside human contact in 5 days. Did I miss some important announcement that all Target shoppers are to carry giraffe print handbags? I counted 12 today, and 4 in a row in line at the checkout. I felt such a dork with my plain black, neatly organized, purse. I was all like what up yos? Didjas hit up the Arusha Savannah at the Animal Kingdom Lodge?

Yes, a necklace. I sent you a bracelet, too, didn't I? Yes, you better post some pics so I will remember what I sent you.

I know that NOW!! Ten minutes ago when I only saw your avatar and it said Happy Birthday. I did not....:rotfl2:
