And honestly, I wanted so much more for myself so staring at 40 and looking where I am now, and what's coming ahead in the next few months (or lack thereof) is freaking me out gals...
Oh crap, I feel a pity party coming on...gotta go...
I owe, I owe,
Back to work I go...
Aw, sweetie.

I understand, though. Not to brag on myself, but I was a valedictorian, and never really expected, at 36, to be sitting around at home. I do recognize that I haven't pushed myself much, and I think my kids are important and great, but... Sometimes I get really down on myself for this. I don't know what I thought I'd be doing, but...
ce-- my grandmother was the same exact way. copd and anxiety. i know exactly how you feel.
Whew, good to know it's not just her.
Besides, we have a date to ride Indy together!
Well, NOW I'm jealous...
I'm wondering, those of you with the Wii Fit, if it's worth the $. What does it do? Exercise for me? Seriously, though, does it come with stuff or is it just a board and I have to buy other stuff?
I kind of answered on the group thing, but I really do think it's good. As Mary says later, the workouts are short (at least the beginner ones) but I did 20 minutes today and loved every minute of it. Plus, it's pretty darn motivating.
*** popping back out for a while to deal with end of year admin stuff at the office ***
Hope you had a good day, Mr. T.
And mine keeps telling me how unbalanced I am. Like I need that reminder.
My mother keeps asking, "mentally, or physically, do you think?"
I resent it, have fun at Target and don't forget my milkduds
You might just be surprised...
I wish I was kidding, Mel. I really do. It just told me again this morning that I'm very unbalanced.
We're soul mates!
Mine are a little older, 67 & 96, but maybe it's their generation.
The thing that amazes me is thinking about D's stepdad - you know, the 80th birthday party next weekend? So, he's roughly 2 1/2 years younger than grandma, still goes to work every day, traveled to France and Israel this year, etc., etc. What a difference! And my dad will say that though his parents both passed away under 80, they were out living life to the fullest. I am sad that 82 isn't that old, but this is happening. Of course, I think a lot of it is the mental stuff, not the physical... Sigh.
And waiting at home was a lovely brown box with these inside:
Those are lovely - well, except the UNC flops. But then, I just don't like UNC.
I broke down and bought the furry
Crocs for 1/2 off at a local shoe store. I LOVE them. I swore they were only for dog-walking, but I wear them everywhere.
YI wear Croc flip flops year round.
Showoff.
Today I purchased 78 gift tags for next Christmas. I will find an appropriate locale and make a separate entry to note their location.
S'late
OK, I went to Target and bought tags, too, but I only found packages of 52? Why did you get more? HOW did you get more?
Here's some more Christmas tree photos:
I am rather supremely impressed that you have trees in your bathrooms.
After that we will be home. AFter Jimmy is in bed we will count down the NY with Dick Clark
I still don't know what we'll do. I probably should have made reservations. I have built-in babysitters.
I'll be here tomorrow night, I am stuck at work so why not celebrate with my online buddies.
And, see, I'd love to do this, but I'd probably get the "look".
That's a very cool bathroom!
I did 3 loads of laundry (dried and put away too!), took down the tree and decorations and packed them away, cleaned, hoovered, dusted and mopped the entire main level, got the boys' hair cut, picked up yet another friend (OMG), baked a banana bread, ordered pizza for dinner and SHAVED MY LEGS. I am amazing! Does this NOT warrant ON THE TOP updating????
WOW!
I did laundry, but didn't shower. Went to Target, even. I did something SO amazing, it has to wait until my bottom update!!!
Ah, that's a great idea. Someone can be the "Focker Memory" and keep a handy computer document with anything we want to remember later....
I'm actually fairly good at this, let me know if you're serious.
WHOA WHOA... Shaved your legs ????...
I shave every time I shower. As you all well know, that's not every day, but it's darn close.
Our anniversary is Sunday. I bought dh 2 sport coats on black friday and told him that would be his anniversary gift. So then, I had to go out and buy something else because I can't not give him something on our anniversary. I got him a Coach wallet (myself one, too) and a wii remote charging station.
You're good. We don't do anniversary gifts, as a rule.
Reminder to self - read page 110 on. Gotta take the massive amounts of trash out - may be back later or tomorrow. Have a great evening, all!
Self, I remembered!
I have mucinex, will it make me cough more, it hurts like child birth to cough. Seriously... like the 23 hours of labor I had.
Well, that's too long of a labor.
Hi I'm back ! I am sooo far behind at work I don't know if I can catch up !! My computor crashing bfors Christmas put me so far behind it's not funny !! Plus I have to do an overnight check tonite so I am trying to decide whether I'll go in at 1am or wait til 4 pm and stay !! Hi, Rosie. Good luck!
I founf you on facebook and sent you a freind request. I also sent to everyone who is here a thing letting them know to add you as a friend!
I didn't get the thing from you,

but I found her.
And now I'm turning 41 <<cough cough on Jan 13>> and I"m waiting on the next button to help with this one!
Gee, when's your birthday again?
my shining moment as a parent was when...........after waiting in line 21 minutes to view the Declaration...........BA says "where's George Bush's name??"
<<sniff sniff>> so proud of our public education... (she swears she meant George Washington.........but the damage was done!)
Hey, JenM? Miss you!

Know what I did today?
I CLEANED MY JUNK DRAWER. I bought a bunch of organizer bins for the drawer, and threw junk away, and made little bins for keys, flashlights, tools, rubber bands, etc.
D was always a little upset that I built a "junk drawer" into our brand new kitchen from the get-go, but you NEED a place for this carp. But now it's at least easy to see.
So, yeah. D & Buzz had a great time skiing, my dad seemed happy to go. Mom, Woody, Grandma & I went to Target, then came home. I did the drawer and Woody made

some brownies. We had spaghetti for dinner, and then watched my beloved Illini whomp Purdue in OT.
I might take the tree down tomorrow - I've kind of stopped watering it, so it's probably time.
We're supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow, so any NYE plans I might make might get squashed, anyhow.
Good night, all!
