Morning, all. I'm up early because today's hopefully a day for answers, so I couldn't sleep... :sad2:

Kirt and I are meeting at the house at 2pm. Before that he's supposed to have a meeting with his boss to ask all his questions. He filled out an application at the bank for pre-approval Monday and we're hoping to hear something from them today too.

My two big things I want to know about are: Is his pay going to stay the same and are you ready to buy our house for a fair price? Kirt thinks he may be able to get a raise, but I'm not so sure since they just asked most of the employees to take a pay cut last week. :confused3 Also- If I like this house, I want to be able to make an offer on it. We can't if we don't know what's up with him buying our house. I don't want to have to put it on the market, if I can help it. I hope he wasn't just saying he'd buy it and that he'd do just about anything to get Kirt back there, You know? I'm stressed. Can you tell? :scared:

I feel like there's a million things to do and until we get some answers today, I'm kind of stuck. I did almost finsih Aidn'es room and 3/4 of the school closet yesterday. Once I get newspaper, I'll be able to do much more.

So, anyway... I'd appreciate good thoughts today. :goodvibes

I'd love to be all spiritual and quote those don't worry , don't stress scriptures... BUT I stress, so I'll stress with you.

StressedCat.gif

BUT.. I WILL SEND GOOD HAPPY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU.
UGH putting houses on the market... THAT IS STRESS.. ALWAYS Making sure the house does not have a piece of fuzz out of place AT ALL TIMES.. that NOTHING STINKS... We WERE BUYING this Spring... but are rethinking it.

I would have expect some kind of a small raise.. BUT ... K Still has a JOB.. so THAT IS A HUGE BLESSING Right :yay:

I actually waited till Joshua left the house to make and drink my coffee.. This way I GET TO ENJOY IT.. not REHEAT IT !!! :lovestruc

I forgot to mention that we're looking at flying now. Once I thought about how much gas will be both ways, food, a hotel... then food all weekend (not to mention an activity to entertain the boys) in Dallas, it started to look close to the price of flying. Also- since Kirt would only have one day off before his anniversary date, he'd have to fly to the beach later this year, instead of driving. Which would cost another $120.

I found flights for $89 each way from SA, but Kirt's not happy that we wouldn't get to Orlando until 2pm. He said we wouldn't get any park time since we have a ADR at 5:30. So, I found one from Austin for $99 and we'd get there at 11:30. He's happier with that. Both flights are direct and only 2.5 hours, so that makes me happy too!

The day we fly in is my BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I'm so glad this trip is planned. I could use the break from reality. Plus, it makes time go faster. We'd probably move the week after we get back. :thumbsup2

I'm off to shower (CE :rotfl: ).

Flying  I'm for flying ya get there not EXHAUSTED AND SORE from the Drive.
We do not have ANY DIRECT FLIGHTS close to us anymore. All have Layovers... except Allegiant. But all their "Hidden Fees" makes a CHEAP FLIGHT.. more expensive than the others.

I say FLY and make this trip as MAGICAL as you can before the REALITY has to SLAP you back down again.:guilty:

Kristel: GREAT news about Doug! I'm so glad. And you rock the updates, girl! :thumbsup2

Dawn: You know we're all sending good vibes! Hope the house is as pretty as it's pictures!

Katt: Yahoo to NON-reheated coffee! :worship:

Jodi: Busy day for you.

Rosie: Meetings, meetings, meetings! :goodvibes

It's the Cold From Heck, Day 4. I am still sick. My nose is more stuffy today than runny though. I plan on resting all day again. I have to get well. I have alot to do tomorrow and Friday!

Bob is enjoying the CA sunshine. He called me from poolside last night. He got to check out the new DL DVC buildings. He took pics, so I'll share when he sends them. His cold is somewhat better. Thank goodness!

Well, I have to go find a kleenex again. :sad2: I'll be here, but resting.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Oh he's going in .. he just has not realized that he has no option

V and Janet - remember at GG be very careful of Chip, you don't want him trash talking you like someone you both know and love.
:lmao:
So speaking of work, you know it's great when the top guys realize what a great asset you are, so great that they keep giving you projects to work on. I know I shouldn't complain in this economy, but today I literally was in meetings back to back from 9:30 - 3, with no breaks. I muted one call so I could sneak and heat my lunch up in the microwave. With so many meetings, how the heck am I supposed to find time to actually DO the work. My VP tells me I can't keep working 10+ hours days, but the work has to get done and they aren't hiring to keep up with the work we keep getting. I know again, I shouldn't complain as we are signing clients (more companies outsourcing the work to us so they can cut head count) but since other areas of our company are hurting we can't hire as many as we need to keep up. And they annouced this week a salary freeze, better than layoffs though.
Same boat here. Talking about furloughs, lay offs, shutting down and only running court 4 days a week. Who the heck knows what is going to happen.
  In a twist of irony, I have a funny-sad work story, too...

V I will be at Epcot on Friday May 22nd is that when you meant !!
D'OH, I did say Fri, didn't I?! Sorry - we arrive Sat. 5/23 - that's our GG ressie night, so I'm assuming we'll be at EP that afternoon/evening. Still working out the rest, but I'll keep you posted...

We went to see Doug's dr. at IU Med. The brain tumor is still shrinking.
Good news!

Morning, all. I'm up early because today's hopefully a day for answers, so I couldn't sleep... :sad2:
Hang in there Dawn!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

No worries - I'll be sure to start a new thread before leaving work today! :thumbsup2

Leo had a great riding lesson last night and it was nice to catch up with my PA friends.

Work just got a little more entertaining, in a "WTH is going on around here?" kind of way...

Got a request from our head honcho to each compile a list of duties we think can be deleted from our positions. Because we all "have too much work to handle". For YEARS, I've been telling my boss that I can handle more work, please give me more projects, I'm efficient, there's no need to worry about my work load... now this?!?! So I now need to find a way to explain to our head honcho that, not only do I not want to get rid of any duties, but I'd like to take on more - without making my position seem unnecessary. Anyone know how best to walk a tightrope?! I'm not alone here, either; most of us could do more work than we're currently assigned. At this point, I just want to say "Keep my position intact, eliminate two others and I'll do their work, too."

Katt- Thanks for the hugs and good thoughts and not letting me stress alone. ;)

I agree about the flying, but now we have to get the money together. When we were driving we didn't have to have the money until we left. See what I'm saying? :)

Mel- Feel better. And send back my bed, you bed keeper, you! :lmao:

Lindsey's appointment with the psychologist went well yesterday. She said she sees no sign of hyperactivity or ADD/ADHD but does see signs of an adjustment issue.
That sounds very good and promising

I can't imagine why:rolleyes1 :lmao:
I have no idea either :rotfl2:

Let me know if for some reason it does NOT do what you need it to.
I've used it to read someWord documents thanks :goodvibes

Is he getting tired of meeting the Fockers? :lmao:
Yep :rotfl2:

Has this ever happened to you? Erich laughed and said I must have been very memorable.
It's a sign of getting old Leesa :rotfl2:

I know again, I shouldn't complain as we are signing clients (more companies outsourcing the work to us so they can cut head count) but since other areas of our company are hurting we can't hire as many as we need to keep up.
Hope it calms down a bit Mo

Tell her to knock it off or I will come there and we will polka in public...in front of her:rotfl:
:rotfl2:

Jo Iwill mis you by a few days in Sept couldn't you come earlier likethe 18th or 19th !!!
Only if you'll fly someone here to babysit :rotfl2:

Jo got another medal for her outstanding golfing skills. Then spent 2 hours learning about the joy of flower arranging. Jo, how many flowers does it take to make a 2 hour arrangement? :rotfl2:
Actually they did 5 arrangements :snooty: :rotfl2: I have to say it again Kristel you're recapping is superb!!! And that's fantastic news about DH!

Kirt and I are meeting at the house at 2pm. Before that he's supposed to have a meeting with his boss to ask all his questions. He filled out an application at the bank for pre-approval Monday and we're hoping to hear something from them today too.
Good luck Dawn

Fantastic!

But in 81days I will be on my way to THE WORLD!!!
Woooohoooo

Sounds lovely, glad you're feeling a bit better!

Well I've painted some wood work today, done a huge pile of ironing so I deserve a break :rotfl2: The girls are meant to be singing at an Ash Wednesday service tonight but they don't want to, not sure what to do oh and Ellie said this morning that she is giving up talking for Lent, lets see if she's even managed to do it at school, I'm sure her teacher would have been pleased :rotfl2:

Morning :goodvibes

Kristel...that is wonderful news about Doug! Keep 'em shrinking!

Dawn....it is an incredibly stressful time for you. Know that we are here for you.

V... about work. I wouldn't even know what to say.

********************

I woke up with a pounding headache :headache: I'm hoping massive amounts of coffee makes it disappear :wizard:

How strange... Good luck with that one. I don't have any advice for you. :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: She's a crack up! :rotfl2:
I wish my kids would give up arguing with each other. :rotfl:
I've been meaning to ask you about the HSM picture the girls had taken with a huge megaphone. I know it was at DHS, but where did you find the photopass person milling around?

Thanks, and I hope that the coffee helps. I usually take two tylenol and drink caffeine.

Kristel- Great news for you and Doug! As always, nice update. Love the colors!!! :thumbsup2

Where's Janet? Is Jimmy still feeling yucky? :confused3

She's a crack up! :rotfl2:
I wish my kids would give up arguing with each other. :rotfl:
I know, well actually she started off by saying she's giving up Lent for Lent :lmao: I suggested she gave up being naughty, back chatting, etc but she didn't go for it  :rotfl:

I've been meaning to ask you about the HSM picture the girls had taken with a huge megaphone. I know it was at DHS, but where did you find the photopass person milling around?
They were right near the hat, I think you can see the pin store behind the girls. Just look for any PP photographer with props and grab them :rotfl: BTW have you pre-ordered? as it saves money!

UH YEAH...:scared: Almost sounds to me like if you ask for more... YOU COULD BE ELIMINATED as it would LOOK LIKE you don't do much..Not sure what I would do. :headache:

Maybe worded so eliquently as you are so capable of doing... something like ....
" while I may have things that COULD be eliminated... in light of our current situation I for one would gladly accept MORE responsibilty to take some of the stress off of this department"

:confused3 Would they buy it:confused3 ... TOO "BROWN NOSEY" :rotfl:

I saw Jo already answered you.. We found 2 guys actually there on the main street just down from the Hat and Sara had her picture taken.

Where's Janet? Is Jimmy still feeling yucky
? :confused3
I wondered that too.. :guilty:

:lmao: Back chatting. I love it! We say back talking. I call it taking your life into your own hands. :cool2: :rotfl2:
Thanks for the tips on the PP picture. Yes, I've prepaid for it. ;) Speaking of that... I wonder if JenJV got my mail I sent her. :confused3

I think that was worded nicely. :thumbsup2

OMG! :lmao:

I just read on AllEars that the TTA is getting a rehab...April 19 to the end of August. What could possibly take so long?
:rotfl2: I really like to get on it for a break when we need to waste a little time. So, I'm glad we moved our trip and it'll be open. Not only that, but Kirt was bummed that Space Mountain was going to be closed. Now it won't be.
