Heya all just a quick check in, hope everyone doing well :)

Hi Tanya :wave2:

Well... He's the son of the couple that owns the club. The other pro is a real pro, if you KWIM. So I think he compensates some for not being as skilled as the pro by being really "I'm so good" in attitude. :confused3

Almost like he is trying to prove to himself he's as good as he thinks he is:rolleyes1 :lmao:

I have two kids home sick, yuk! they are feeling much better now. luckily it didnt hit them that hard.
But I have gotten nothing done. :sad2: way too much time on the computer. so I`m going to get off here and get some organising done. :teacher:

Whatcha doing Dawn? I'm bored. I am getting frustrated trying to figure out DDP stuff too. I can't find that website that Jo posted yesterday!:headache:

I'm on the phone with a friend. I'm bored too. I'm tempted to take a nap.

What parks are you going to which days?

Try this:
DDP

I'm bored, too, Janet. :bored:

I also don't like the DDP. Not that I've tried it - it just seems like WAY too much effort! Not only do you have to make ADRs, you're under pressure to keep them so as not to lose money in the deal. And you still have to come up with a card or cash for tip, so I figure it's not any easier than taking using the same cc for every meal and paying it off when the bill comes.

I still have the 4/3 bouncing around in the back of my head, but it's down to a dull thumping now. ;) However, I'm serisouly thinking about getting myself on the waitlist for BCV instead of AKV. :rolleyes1

Great news Mel! :thumbsup2

This is what I have so far

8/8 - Drive - Stop somewhere at dinner time, eat, pool
8/9 - Check into Pop. Dinner @ Boma
8/10 - EPCOT - Garden Grill Dinner
8/11 - AK
8/12 - MK - CP (Not sure breakfast or lunch yet!)
8/13 - DHS (maybe EPCOT in Evening) - 50's Prime Time Lunch
8/14 - No Park. Jim, Richard Petty Ride Along, Maybe use Planet Hollywood Coupon:confused3
8/15 - DHS(am)/MK (pm) - Sci Fi Dine In Lunch
8/16 - Check out. Kona Breakfast. Drive to Universal. Do US and/or IOA
8/17 - US and IOA
8/18 - Start the drive home.

We are debating stopping somewhere on the way home for a day or 2. Williamsburg? DC? Not really decided on that one yet. May bag those and just get a cheap clean motel, or drive straight through depending on Jim.

This is beginning to be my feeling, but Jim is really looking forward to it. We will try it once. If we don't like it, we won't do it again:confused3

Aren't you staying on points though? Or are you talking about an additional trip? Or banking points?

I hope they're better soon, Carrie.

Well, I need to be off in a few minutes to the boys tennis. I came home from mine and put on lounge-y type clothes instead of sweaty tennis gear, so I need to get "real" stuff on again. ;) I do have their tennis stuff ready, but...

D should be landing from his quick trip today about now, so I may or may not be back later. Depends on if he's doing packing and couch sleeping or not. ;)

See you later, or tomorrow!

J

Dr. Seigle was nice to me today. NO needling. :goodvibes He added another drop for pressure (bringing the total drops to 5 a day) which sort of makes the surgery redundant but I trust him.

Alright Fockers...I just started tomatoes, green onions, hot peppers and peppermint from seed :thumbsup2 Spring better stick around.

Yep, I'm on points. I wanted BCV, but there was no availability, so I'm thinking about waitlisting it. The 4/3 deal had me thinking about just banking the points... but I've mostly talked myself down from that ledge! :rotfl:

I just wanna offer my 2 cents about the DDP. We have done it on some trips and didn't do it on others. I personally love it. The key, for us at least, was to not take it too seriously. I felt pressure the first time to be there exactly on time and make sure we ate all our food so as not to waste $. But really it's not that serious (to me anyway). I love the idea of doing a 2TS meal one day and having only CS the next, makes it easier. If you do afternoon breaks then your set because you can do a lunch then rest or a rest then dinner, and you don't have to feel so set into a time. I liked having all our food paid for before we got there and ordering anything you want off the menu.

Anyways thats my 2 cents, you can throw it back at me if you wanna.

Doesn't anyone know about the mugs? Mel? You were just there?!

Apparently I forgot about dinner so I have to go take something out. And I need to go down for my mail too.

Oh BTW work will be me alone in the store most days, with a computer with internet- so DIS ing!!!!!

It's not so much the "wasting of money" that bothers me. It's trying to figure out places we can go that are jimmy friendly!

Just offerin' Ed. Hope everyone feels better real quick like, darlin'. ::yes::

Jo- I will be taking the monorail, thank you very much!
Also- Are you sure about the Bday cards? I'm scared that I'll find out the hard way that the info isn't right. :guilty: What do you know about the $200 gift card? Is it for merchandise only too? Do you get it when you check in?
Congrats on the yummy candy. I can't think of nicer person who deserves it more.
Wimp :rotfl2: No honestly it's a nice walk! We've been told that the Birthday cards don't expire, check when you pick it up though and the $200 can be used for anything, again so I've heard, even your room charges! And thanks

I'd put it closer to 7-10 minutes, but I agree - an easy walk IF you find the right path! :rolleyes1
True :rotfl2:

Hey Fockers!
Well, I got a 40% off code yesterday! :cool1: It seems to be good only at times which people could never actually go though........but I was excited and presented it cheerfully to the family............but Ab and Daran said.................
they wanna go to DisneyLAND.
Fantastic about the code!!!!

Jo I lost that site you sent me about the DPP please repost!:flower3:
Of course, the official DDP brochure! And honestly Janet we liked it, if you don't want to do a sit down meal everyday do a 2 credit one or how about a character breakfast. I personally wouldn't go to Planet Hollywood and pay, even with the voucher, if you haven't used up all your credits! Oh and remember quick service credits can be used for take out, like packaged sandwiches often found at the food courts for your journey home!

Well....I'd like it better if they'd let ME fly the plane and I could decide when we take off and how much time we SIT on the runway....and who sits next to me.....and how much weather we encounter......and how big the seats are......and...........
:rotfl2:

Well, I would think so (not cancer, obviously, but the decision to not have children) for, as I said, even more reasons that what I posted, but then I always feel bad when people can't make their OWN decisions, you know? Even if I disagree with them... :rotfl:
You knew I meant not the cancer bit right!

Never! That's so cool! I'm so proud to know you. :goodvibes I talked you up to a mom at basketball last week. She said she goes to the MP site all the time. I said, "ask Jo everything, I know her and she's fantastic."
:rotfl2: awww thanks sweetie, so how did you explain how you knew me? :rotfl2:

I am starting to hate the DDP already. Too many choices and not enough time to do them all!:headache: Although for reference in case anyone was wondering the ESPN Club takes the DDP!
See above Janet, honestly you'll be fine. I now love the fact we have a sit down meal everyday, or almost everyday :goodvibes

Jo - Nice gift. Looks yummy!
Thanks!

It was fine. We alternate instructors weekly for drills between two pros, and the one today is the one I'm not terribly fond of, but that's OK. I can't decide if I don't like his attitude or his instruction, but I always leave feeling like I have had my game torn apart and haven't played well, where with the other guy, I have fun and feel good. It's possible I'm learning something more, ;) but it's not nearly as fun. :confused3
Oh no, maybe Janet's right :confused3

Its not like I'm really needed there. I probably say less than 10 words in the 2 hours these meetings lasts
Oh no

Dr. Seigle was nice to me today. NO needling. :goodvibes He added another drop for pressure (bringing the total drops to 5 a day) which sort of makes the surgery redundant but I trust him.
Wooohooo I'm so pleased Mel, now do you know the answer about the new refillable mug design? :rotfl:

Heya all just a quick check in, hope everyone doing well
Hi Tanya!

I have two kids home sick, yuk! they are feeling much better now. luckily it didnt hit them that hard.
Oh no Carrie, hope they get better quick and you don't get it

Alright Fockers...I just started tomatoes, green onions, hot peppers and peppermint from seed :thumbsup2 Spring better stick around.
Fingers crossed, make sure to update us!

Oh BTW work will be me alone in the store most days, with a computer with internet- so DIS ing!!!!!
Sounds like your dream job Kat!

Errrrr nothing else to say :rotfl2:

Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone! :goodvibes

Busy day here. Got all the baking done and I successfully made 18 mini heart cakes. Have mercy! :faint:

Cleaned the house, got everything ready for tonights Brownie meeting, played a little on the Wii and now I'm off to shower, whilst Andy picks up Evan from school.

Janet - I was looking at your dates, and realized I'm leaving the 7th, not the 8th, so adding 1 day won't cut it. D'oh! :headache:

V - Changes in the wind, eh?:rolleyes1

Mel - Glad you didn't get poked at the Dr.! :)

My take on the DDP - I don't like it for the most part, but I do enjoy TS meals daily. I don't like that it includes dessert, I would much prefer to share an appy with Andy. But - on the other hand I do enjoy having a sit down meal with my family, it not only relaxes us, but actually recharges us. And yes, we're doing it in August.

Have a great day! :sunny:

Good luck with the meeting. Who else attends, if you don't talk?

My dad, brother, family lawyer and trustee are all usually there. The stuff regarding my mom's will and trust is usually done in about 15-20 minutes. Things that still need to be taken care of, time frame, etc. The rest of the time is spent talking about my dad's accounting business and how it is doing. I want to see him stay sucessful and survive in the econimic times but it is all so boring! (The sad thing is I have my degree in accounting and you'd think I would get into it, but nope! That is why I'm going back to school for something else. LOL) Plus, having to tell my kids to stop jumping, running, climbing under tables, and spinning in chairs is not my idea of a good time.

Just a quick hello.

Dr. Seigle was nice to me today. NO needling. :goodvibes He added another drop for pressure (bringing the total drops to 5 a day) which sort of makes the surgery redundant but I trust him.

He said the next appt will be Mar 3rd and it's only to check the pressure. I asked what he's going to do as the surgery isn't working the right way. He told me we'll discuss it next time.

Thanks for all the positive vibes you guys! It makes it so much easier.

MEL

Yay on the no needling. and you'll be in my thoughts for the 3rd.

So something really really wonderful has happened.

Bob just offered to fly me to WDW for three days if I want to meet Dawn, Jen, JV Jen, Z and Angela.....

Who has a pin code they aren't using?
(Truthfully, I can't afford even the value prices for those days with airfare so it would help!!!!)

MEL
*who might be persuaded to offer a kid, baking or house cleaning for said pin*

My thoughts on the DDP was that we liked it. When we went in March we didn't have the DDP. We stayed offsite and we had a kitchenette. Plus, we only did about 3 days in Disney rather than a week. When we went in Septemeber it was really nice to be able to have the breaks. Looking back I think I would have planned maybe more TS breakfasts or lunches rather than dinners though. Plus, it was nice to know that it was all paid for, even the tip.

Although your right...the choices are what got to me. So many places and so little time. LOL
