Team Focker Watch - v.9 in which all great mysteries shall be revealed

Well I found out some really sad news this morning. Yesterday I noticed that all my old friends from Victoria had "RIP Bob" as their status. We all used to go to school with a Bobby and my gut was telling me that it was him. I PM'd a friend and it was confirmed this morning that it was my old school-friend Bobby, he hung himself yesterday. I am so shocked, I remember him as being such a happy fun loving guy. Granted I haven't seen or talked to him in years but it just blew me away that he would do such a thing.:

That is so sad Lessa.

So I have spent the day cleaning and doing laundry. The suitcase is packed and ready to go into the car. I have set the alarm (don't normally use one as Namath acts as an alarm, but even he won't be up at 3:45. .

Have a Magical Trip Mo!!!pixiedust:

So go check out my TR for the Atlantic City Mini TR.....

Easy Linking: HERE!!!

Enjoy.

Oooooh Very pretty! You guys look like you had a great time. Looks like the Boardwalk at Disney

Gtting ready to leave on trip in a few days. Just trying to get some last minute things around for trip and get school work done. I do not want that hanging over my head while on vacation.

Ooooh Have a good trip too Margie. Wait where you going?

Twitter is a bit like a blog but you only have one sentance to say what you're doing, you can also link it to FB. You follow people and can reply to them, you can also set it up so you can text from your cell to it, which is what Kat had done :thumbsup2 It's another thing to get addicted to and I try not to go there too much!

OMG I checked this out after Kat told me about it after Fockerfest and there is no way I would be able to do Twitter. That's too much technology for me.:upsidedow

Hi Rachel!

Hi Katt! :wave2: That was scary about the fire that cancelled SB's recital.

V: couldn't see the pics, but I'll check back. I've been wanting to go back to BG, but the boyfriend doesn't do Rollercoasters :sad2: .
 on Leo being all grows up. I don't have kids, but the "they grow up so fast" saying is oh so true.

Jen: What T said about SSR :)

Ok gotta get back to work....again. :p

:cheer2: I just ordered a glass slipper dessert for the girls to celebrate their birthday while we are at 1900 Park Faire! :cheer2:
Fantastic they look so yummy!

Leo finally came out and was completely embarrassed. We talked and he's totally ready to be using the mens' rooms; apparently I just need to let go of my baby a little. :guilty:
That's when I'm glad I had girls :rotfl2:

This all so confusing.
Janet look at the brochure HERE and hopefully that will help. :goodvibes

I am totally cracking up about you guys chatting about me while I wasn't around... I really love you guys! It's so nice to have so much support!

The news is....

  I GOT THE JOB!!!!

Wooohoooo I hope you don't mind that I hinted!

took SD driving :scared1:
Yikes!

Before the Cast Member could even pick up her phone to put out a call for a missing kid with Autism... here comes Joshua.. walking through the Vine covered Tunnel way... smiling and happy... No Idea He is LOST... No Idea that he had just scared me nearly to death. Yet Somehow he turned himself back around to the right side of the park.. walking back through that Tunnel straight towards us.
Isn't that always the way :rotfl2:

Sorry I've been MIA, got lots to do this week with V-day coming (NO-V ;))
I made 40 Valentine goodie baskets, helped the kids with their cards and tomorrow I have to bake cupcakes for our Brownie Valentine Party. Add that to some WDW planning, talking to MS for almost an hour (poor CM!) and tonight I have a house full of kids! :faint:
Wow :faint:

Ahhh.. how sweet. I've got to order a special cake for Evan oh and thanks to Jo's Mom's Panel question, I'm ordering the Mickey Birthday Surprise for him. I can't WAIT! :hyper:
Ooooh let us know how he liked it!

One of my friends at work just lost her mother on Friday morning.
I'm so sorry and hope work goes OK

Not too far, and you know how much I love to walk. :rolleyes1
:rotfl2:

OMG I checked this out after Kat told me about it after Fockerfest and there is no way I would be able to do Twitter. That's too much technology for me.:upsidedow
:rotfl2:

Well my golf match has been cancelled for the 4th time  I think they're getting mad, it's got to be played by Friday but due to the weather we have a weeks extension, fingers crossed!

Help needed Saratoga Springs Ladies!
That is where we stayed in January. I'm no expert either (and T did a great job, ITA with her answers...) but here is my opinion.
The main pool was lame. That's what my kids said. It was too far away (we were in Grandstand) and crowded. The slide was just OK.
We LOVED our location as we were 1st on the bus. That was nice. We also loved the smaller pool, spray horses, the bar at the pool and the hot tub! It was not bad to walk to the Carriage house from Grandstand, and I liked that it was sort of "out of the way."

Fabulous resort!! :cloud9: Not very Disney themed, but it feels like a vacation when your there. IMO

Mousekeeping doesn't come every day, they designate a day though. But there are extra trash bags and stuff and she can always call and request extra towels etc.
Ditto on the lack of theming, but it is still beautiful.

We requested several items (extra sheets, pillows towels etc.) and they were always cheerfully and quickly brought!

Looks like everyone had a decent weekend.

Mel - MMMM, Strongbow. Nascar, whoo-hoo! :drive:

Hope that Monday is good for all!

HapValheart.gif
Ha! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks Kristel! Sorry to hear about your friend's mom (and son). That is very sad.

:scared1: How did that go? I can remember when my dad first started teaching me to drive. He got in the car once, maybe twice, with me and after that decided I needed a driving teacher. :rotfl: I can parallel park wonderfully thanks to this teacher though!
Ah, it went ok. He's a pretty good driver. He DID go IN the OUT at Kroger though! :scared1:  He's still learning stuff but he's very concientous.

The main pool is a good walking distance from the Grandstand. Not too far, and you know how much I love to walk. :rolleyes1 My opinion on the main Themed pool is that it can get pretty crowded, so having that 2nd themed pool near your room is great!
The 2nd pool is just a retangulared shaped pool with a bar about 20 paces from the waters edge. There is a water feature for the kids - race horses that squirt water. (My kids LOVED it there!)

If she's a cash account, she'll get mousekeeping daily. :thumbsup2
Yeah, what T said.

checking in again. oh when will i be able to chat daily??? hopefully soon!! finished my bedroom today. still have to finish kitchen, kids rooms, office, and hang up pictures!! exhausting! i'll post pics when we're done. everyone else........ ( my hug smiley is back ....... woo whooo!!!)
HI Rachel!!! We miss you! So glad the house is slowly coming along. It will be worth it when it's done!

Well my golf match has been cancelled for the 4th time  I think they're getting mad, it's got to be played by Friday but due to the weather we have a weeks extension, fingers crossed!
Things will turn around, weather wise. I'm sure of it! I mean, eventually you DO get our weather, right? It was 47 on Saturday and 43 yesterday. We haven't had snow in DAYS!
Hope that's how it works! LOL. :confused3

*******************************
I'm up but I'm not happy about it. It's early. And I was comfy and warm in bed!

Today is Bob's "mental health" day. LOL. I wonder what he's going to do? I know what I'd do for a mental health day and I'm sure that's different....

I hope you guys all have a good Monday!

MEL:banana:

Good Morning Mel....

I can always count on you to be here first thing in the morning....

Gotta start the coffee for Dawn and anybdy else who needs it...

Back Later

=========================================================

Where are Katt and T? I need dates ladies. Mine are changing again!

:snooty: Yeah.. I NOTICED :snooty:
What about me?! Keep me posted - mine won't change, but you never know when I might be able to pop over!
You are talking to Janet .... Right ??
Next year,,, I'm not telling anybody WHEN I'm going to Florida:rolleyes1 Then I'll just show up.... ternaries in hand... It'll be the "Focker" Version of Pearl Harbor

Katt: I did say EVERYONE ELSE....

How are you today?

Thanks Mel... Keep hoping to Meet more Gals... but no one is planning to be there when I go... Janet was... but even she ditched me :snooty:

I am totally cracking up about you guys chatting about me while I wasn't around... I really love you guys! It's so nice to have so much support!

The news is....

 I GOT THE JOB!!!!

That's for the confirmation.... but a little British sounding bird gave us a "HINT" ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: and we were all figuring that YOU HAD IT... !!

But I have to admit - and I can't tell you how painful this is - Gwaazi, the wooden coaster, actually hurt me, for the first time ever. Crap, I'm getting old!

Have you (or anybody who's gone) pictures of this coaster... ??I love the wooden coasters but.. yes... the older I get the rougher they are on my OLD BODY...:rotfl2:

::yes:: Stay away from the free dining!

Are you saying the Crowds outweigh the benefits ??
I have heard a rumor that it migh be coming as early as August 16th. People might not be expecting it that early.. is it not usually a little but later ??:confused3

Basically, yes. There are 3 different sets of stairs and 2 more openings to the netted areas, but only one way in and out of the whole section, so you can definitely park by it and keep track. I really like that - it's nerve-wracking enough when I can't see him in the net!

:thumbsup2

We're doing Chef Mickey's for the 1st time - (Evan's birthday party), too Janet.

Our Favorite Place to eat :mickeyjum

Help needed Saratoga Springs Ladies!
I was all set to book there for June... even though V said it was a big No go for her

Till we decided to not go to Disney in June.. and got an incredible deal at Orange Lakes for 400.00 for the week... cant beat that with a Steamroller... and it has a Kitchen for doing some in room cooking.

That is where we stayed in January. I'm no expert either (and T did a great job, ITA with her answers...) but here is my opinion.
The main pool was lame. That's what my kids said. It was too far away (we were in Grandstand) and crowded. The slide was just OK.

I read somewhere that it's water slide was the longest and it looks cool :confused3 It was Sarabeth's choice .
Thanks, I'm still trying to understand the numbers on the clock.... 7AM? What is this strange time?
7:00 comes twice in the same day S'late... :rotfl2: you know what... so does 6:00 and 5:00 and unfortunately I also know that 2:00 does as well :guilty:

Gotta go Fix Scott's Breakfast.... Then hit my Wii Challenge for the Day.... Come join us S'late.. today it's the Basic Step. :headache: I hate Basic Step.. but it's better than the Slalom:rolleyes:

Invisible "Focker" ... OUT !!

Morning Fockers! Back to another week of work and Make Yourself Look Important So You Don't Get the Axe Due to Budget Cuts!

An update on my crazy washer: it's still not leaking, after many loads fo laundry. I have no idea what happened last week, but I'm hoping it was an isolated incident!

It's taking a lot of willpower NOT to book the 4/3 deal right now. I keep reminding myself that staying on points costs me nothing, which always beats the best deal. But it's hard!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

OMG! This same happened when we were at AKL. I let him go to the bathroom by himself and then worried that he didn't find it on his own and started panicking. I went to the door and waited and waited. I had to get someone to go in and ask if he was in there. He was.
It's nerve-wracking, isn't it?!

Never Mind me... and nobody does.[
Nuh-uh - I already have your dates Katt, unless you've changed them! :thumbsup2
Happy Ending ... Horror Story Here
Oy! Yes, I know of a couple restrooms at WDW like that and Leo will NOT be using them for some years to come!

Add that to some WDW planning, talking to MS for almost an hour (poor CM!) and tonight I have a house full of kids! :faint:
So... what's the scoop now? popcorn::
I'm thinking of adding that to our trip next year. It's cheaper to fly into Tampa anyway. :teeth:
Is it really? If only I had a bigger car, I could come pick you up and drive you to WDW!

What are the best buildings to request? Close to main buildings, bus stops (not last one) and main pool.
I'm with T - I loved both the Grandstand and Springs. I've also stayed in Carousel, and didn't like it there - too removed.

Sorry - can't help on mugs.

V -How bad were the drunken pirates? pirate:
141 arrests - I think that's pretty good! :rotfl:
On the work front - Things at my plantsite are being moved.
 It's so hard, feeling like you're in limbo, isn't it? Hang in there!

Z & T (and anyone else up)- What about the main pool? How far away is it from your suggestions? What is the themed pool, what is that like?
We really liked the main pool, High Rock Springs. The Springs area is very close and Grandstand is within an easy walk. The Grandstand pool has the kids splash area, which is fun, and it's within an easy walk from the Springs, so either location works well.
As for mousekeeping- if she is staying via a regular reservation (not via DVC) will she get mousekeeping daily?
Correct. :thumbsup2

Awww... to you and Leo. I am not looking foward to this day when it comes with DR.
I have to say, it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. ANd now I know to trust that he'll alert someone if anything's amiss. I think you'll jsut know when DR's ready to handle it!

I've been wanting to go back to BG, but the boyfriend doesn't do Rollercoasters :sad2: .
But there's so much more than rollercoasters! I only got to do one and we spent 6 hours there :thumbsup2

Boma does have a kids section of food, complete with mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, pasta and meatballs... Boma is super good.

::yes:: All four of us love Boma, and I have some fairly picky eaters.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!

That's great - you're probably off already! :)

I just hit 4,000 posts!!

WOOHOO!

CE: Hi honey. Glad you had a good night. Hope you get some more steady sleep tonight!

We did better. D didn't fall asleep on the couch, we both went to bed at a decent hour, but Woody was up at 5:10 with a bathroom issue (nothing horrible, and no sheet changing or anything.) He did go back to bed. But at that time, I had a harder time going back to sleep than I would have in the middle of the night, if that makes sense.

Pshew! I'm so glad it worked out.

I have started letting them go to men's rooms, but I'm lucky that there's two of them. They know that one always waits on the other - and if they forget  I can always send them back in.

I call out a lot outside the doors, too, just so any possible crazies know that someone is waiting. ;)

So how are you all?

Good! Missing you, though. :)

CE - Hi!! Sounds like couple's night went well. I hope you are feeling better now.

Yep, it was a good night, and I got some sleep over the weekend. ;)

One of my friends at work just lost her mother on Friday morning. She lost her son almost 1 year ago. Some people can't seem to catch a break. I'll be going to the viewing. We don't know when it is sceduled yet.

Oh, I'm so sorry.

checking in again. oh when will i be able to chat daily??? hopefully soon!!

Miss you! I'm glad the house is coming together.

Well my golf match has been cancelled for the 4th time  I think they're getting mad, it's got to be played by Friday but due to the weather we have a weeks extension, fingers crossed!

It can't be your fault, though. I'm sorry.

*******************************************************
We went ice skating yesterday afternoon, which was fun. The boys did great! And last time I went (last year) I fell so hard on my hands that I wound up getting x-rays on my wrist, so I'm glad that I never fell yesterday! :rotfl:

I am supposed to go do heights and weights in PE for the 4th graders. I did some with the 3rd graders, when the PTA volunteer person asked for volunteers, and I guess the PE teacher likes me, as she wrote me a note and left it at the front office, asking me to help - and not going through the volunteer coordinator. :goodvibes

But I need to go shower for that, and I'm gone most of the morning. I think I have to do the grocery store, too - I managed to go all weekend without going! :cool1: :rotfl2:

D says he has a lot of work to do, but will do it here, so I plan to stay out of his way by being on the computer a lot. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

See you later! Have a great morning!:grouphug:

Have you (or anybody who's gone) pictures of this coaster... ??I love the wooden coasters but.. yes... the older I get the rougher they are on my OLD BODY...:rotfl2:
No, you can't bring cameras on board, so I left it with Gramma, who was with Leo in another area, so I never got any pics. But I found some online:

And here

I'm a wooden coaster fanatic, and, while I love having ANY woody nearby, this is one of the roughest I've seen. It pulls a lot of G's and not so many negative G's. Many, many banked turns and a lot of side to side movement. Very fun, but take your Advil, lol!

Are you saying the Crowds outweigh the benefits ??
::yes:: To be fair, I've never actually been in WDW during FD, but that's what I've heard form others.

Morning :goodvibes

Spring fever has hit my house...and I've got it the worst :lmao:

Kat, congrats on the job!

Hope all is well with everyone.    ( I sure and glad they fixed the smilies!)

Good morning, Fockers!!! :lovestruc

We have a super busy week here. :scared: Maybe I'll forget to eat and lose a few pounds! :lmao: J/K I haven't weighed in yet, so I'm going to go do that so I can have my coffee Katt made me.
Keep it warm, okay? :surfweb:

THAT LOOKS INTENSE... Wonder if one is worse than the other.. there are usually differences with "Twin Coasters" Kings Dominion and Kings Island have them . Kings Island has "The Beast"( and the "Son of a Beast" Looping wooden Coaster) and was the longest fastest in the World when I rode it back in 1983 or 1984.. and get this... IT WAS MY FIRST :scared: :rotfl2: what a way to lose your " Coaster Virginity":lmao:

Whew! I'm so hot from doing today's challenge I may have to wait until later to drink it!

Today's challenge I got a 246, and I did the hula hoops to balance it out and got a 117. That makes me feel better, because now I know I can do it, but I was so tired from so many attempts the other day. Also- I set the high score on both the basic step and hula hoop.
