Dawn---I feel your pain---I had a mom ask me the same thing at the last competition in WV---she wanted to just drive down the day of but wanted me to haul her kid up there, go out to eat with the group, go to Build a bear and then spend the nite. I said "no" and another mom ended up doing it. Beth Ann said she wanted "girl time" with me and her in the room so I made the right decision!

BTW--we're off in a few hours to Knoxville for another competition tomorrow. Wish her luck!

Good Friday morning

The sun still isn't out and I'm starting to get twitchy.

We had some sun - it was 9, but it was sunny - but it's gone now. I hope you get some sunshine!

We have plenty to do this weekend. Saturday we're supposed to go to my MIL's for games and dinner. Then Sunday I'm taking Camryn to her first musical.
I'm excited.

She picked the mouse up in her mouth and jumped up on the stove.. and put the mouse in Mom's big Iron skillet.

I'M GOING TO WDW!!!! Just booked March 16-24, staying at the AKL! I know we just got back in Dec, but this is our 10th Anniversary Trip (with kids). I booked the kids into the simba care (sp?) at the AKL and we are doing a special Jiko dinner. (good reviews from you all, I hope?) I am proud to report that I found 60 each way airfare, with one small connection in Atlanta.

Fantastic! My kids loved Simba's.

I hear the kids in the kitchen getting into stuff so that is my clue to get off here. Hope everyone has a good Friday!

I am so glad this week is finally almost over!! uff da!! First it was Elizabeth in the Mental Health hospital. then finding out about my Mom. then I got a letter from our Credit Union stating that my Debit MC has been compromised somehow and they are cancelling it and issuing me a new one. nobody got to anything,,I going to the bank soon to deposit Steve check and I`ll find out then...
and NOW! There is a man missing from our town. hes around 60. I dont know him. I saw it on the news yesterday morning. I get to work last night and the Asst mngr tells me that he was one of my customers on Tuesday night. and his nephew will be calling to talk to me. great!!!! so he calls. I dont remember him at alllll....the nephew tells me I was one of the last poeple to see him before he went missing. he just wanted to know what he bought so he could trace his footsteps. no clue....I looked closer at his picture on line last night...still no clue. I feel bad,,because he wanted me to call him back either way. and I never did. My manager told me to be careful because of the legal stuff...like if I sold him beer and he was already drunk and thats why he went missing... My Mom should be finding out what type of Leukemia it is today or Monday. she has lots of hope. so thats was good to hear. thanks for your prayers and support!

Ok so I"m EXHAUSTED!! We got home like at 430am this morning. We had such a blast with Mel and Bob and her cutie pie kids.

And we did manage to get pics!!!

Mel's still in the World and says Hi to everyone! They're hitting up MK today and leave Saturday.

Yani and I ended up doing 3 parks in 1 day and I still missed my MK opening!!!!! I was so sure I'd make it this time. The park opened at 9am and we got there at 8:22am, but it was already opened!!! I asked the guards if they did the opening already and they said "yes" What the heck!! I rechecked the times guide and it said the park opens at 9am, but people were already in, what opened at 9 was the different lands. Ugh! Guess I'll have to try again next time.

MK wasn't too bad, we hit up our favorite rides, checked out the wait time for the faeries (which was 90 min at 10am) and headed out to EP. Where we rode Spaceship Earth and had ourselves a Margarita (Note: they're strongest early in the hours of WS opening ), walked around WS and had a lovely lunch at France then took the slow boat over to DHS (aka MGM) to meet up with Mel and Gus where we spent the rest of the day.

It started raining and by the end of the night Yani and I tried to make it over to MK to catch Wishes, but ended up seeing it on the Poly Beach and then having a delicious dinner at Kona (w/ no ADR ).

We headed back to SSR to say our goodbyes and thank yous to Mel, Bob and the boys and drove home.

I got a letter from Maddie's school yesterday to notify parents that in the past 2 days, 2 child abduction attempts have been made on little girls walking home from school. Skerrrry! Maddie doesn't walk home from school, but plenty of other kids do. I feel like taking every kid home now.

Oh and did you see the woman from So. Cal who popped out 8 kids in 1 shot? Yeah, well she lives 4 blocks from Evan's preschool.

I'm off to pick up Mads from school. I'll be back later.

Too cute! See, I've been wishing for all my photos that are still in IL, and it's all because of FB. None of my school friends (and because it's a small town, they were friends from kindergarten to senior year) have posted any yet.

The kid in the top row right corner? He is a dead ringer for my friend's little brother. If you look at my FB friends, there's a guy with a picture of himself circa 1977 eating an ear of corn? That one.

None of my friends have posted school pics either. I'm in the same boat and most of my friends on there we've gone to school since elementary school. I could probably dig around the ones here at my parents house for elementary/middle school but all high school ones are up in storage in MN (or where ever the heck the ex has taken them ).

OK, I officially hate middle schoolers! One of Jim's kids got hold of his cell phone number and has been crank calling him. We had to have his cell phone number changed. IT's the same number he has had since he has had a cell phone in 1991!

So, I told the mom that wasn't sure if I would be around at the February convention because I was going to meet a friend some time that weekend. Then I told her my mom's coming in March, so that wasn't going to work then either.

Then, I channeled Jen, and told her I didn't appreciate that her daughter was involving Baylie in their tiff. I told her it made B uncomfortable and that the girl her bad daughter was fighting with is one of B's favorite friends. I think she'll stay away from us now. She seemed to WANT drama and I don't.
