V- I know what you mean about being spacey. There's allergy hell or spacey here. :sad2: Poor Leo, he's just trying to get through the allergy seaons, techer! :snooty:

Lisa- Welcome! I'm Dawn- the homeschoolin' mom to three. I don't grown my own vegetables or have super long hair that I wear in a bun. :rotfl: I'm the crafty person of the TFW. :upsidedow Don't worry about a name. We'll give you one once we get to know you more.
Although Candy *** non- drinking bartender is standing out to me now! :rotfl2:

We're doing school and taking meds for allergies. Rinse and repeat.
Does anyone else shop at Justice for their girls? They have the CUTEST swim suits this year!!! OMGosh! I love the tankinis- one is black, hot pink and white with polka dots and tiny peace signs (the last one in the picture). The other is black and white zebra print with hot pink ruffles (the first one). :hyper: I must have these for Camryn! Because they are the same colors, we can get flip flops and sunglasses that match.

I think I'm ready for summer... :scratchin :p

I think $15 is super reasonable for those! They look great. Do you give them goodies in the pouch?
I thought so too. She charged me $2 each for the trim and $.50 each letter, so they were still less than $20 each.
Yes, I'll hang them on their chairs at night and put goodies in them every year. :goodvibes

That's sweet, Dawn. Valentine's day isn't a big deal in our house, so my kids don't get anything unless I cave to the bag of conversation hearts. What is it about seasonal candy?...Candy corn, conversation hearts, jelly beans....YUMMO!

We used to throw a pretty hap-nin' SB party complete with 3 or 4 super bowl squares. The past couple I years I just haven't felt like it, but I do miss having the SB square.

I just paid for my blocks :thumbsup2

Why didn't you get a super bowl square going?

Becasue that promotes gambling:rolleyes:

Um, what is a super bowl square?

Create (usually on a poster board) blocks 100 per board. Purchase said blocks (Here they were $10 per block). After all the blocks are sold put number 0 -9 in a hat and pull out. Number each column accordinglu. Repeat for rows. Then pick team names out of hat. first one is the row side other is the column side (or vice versa) LAst digit at the end of each quarter/half/game determines winner. I.E. I say I have 1 for Pitt and 3 for Arizona. If the score at the end of the 1st quarter is Pitt 21 and 13 for Arizona I win. Did this make any sense.

And now you all know why I am the official TFW bookie:rotfl2:

Camryn's a candy-a-holic! :sad2:

I'll probably put stuff for the trip in it.
We put out little mailboxes and write love notes in them for each other. Then we read them outloud at dinner that night. :goodvibes I like to do it up. :p

Ooo, I can answer that! Sea World wasn't originally an Anheuser-Busch park. I believe Sea World was an independent company, but don't quote me on it. Whatever it was, it wasn't doing well financially and Busch took the chain over. :thumbsup2

Ah... Got it.. :thumbsup2

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Katt, if your step is black with turquoise steps, I'll crack up!

Was there another color 10 years ago:rolleyes: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mornin'. 'Member the bully? He's back. I'll spare ya' the details...let's just say it's not good. And that li'l punk is in for it.

I'll be on my way to Jon's school a bit later.

Someone better send good thoughts to that school, because I am in no mood to play.

Wish me luck.

We are getting one in the next couple of days. Limited Too and them merged. So our's is changing over. I've heard the clothes are cheaper but I don't know anything else. I'm guessing it's much like Limited Too .
Aad unles it was on clearance Sarabeth did not get anything from Limited Too

I agree. I don't normally spend that type of money on kids' clothes. Their prices are less than Limited Too, but can still be pricey- especially on clothing. But the swim suits are worth it. Get on their mailing list. We get coupons all the time. There might be one on-line you can print. So, for example, the swim suits I like are $28.50 and $29.50, but with the coupon (which is 30% off entire purchase), they are $20 and $21. We saw a swimsuit C liked at Target yesterday with a skirt for $17. The suits from Target always unravel and need replacing before the summer's over, but the Justice ones last years. So, it's worth the $3 more. Fuzzy bathing suit math! :rotfl2: :lmao:

We end up with two suits for each kid with all the swimming we do too, so I want them to hold up. Thank goodness for Aiden's $8 suits! :thumbsup2

I also wanted to say that according to this Justice magazine, the 70s and 80s are back in full force! They have splatter paint clothes, high tops, tie dyed stuff, and ruffle skirts all over the place! :sad2: I'm not really sure how I feel about this... :sad2: It wasn't that great of a loook then, but the girls seem to like it all.

But the other night I noticed Jen (Goofyluver) in here and pooped in to say "HI', and tonight I finally looked in and read page 1.

Welcome! I'm CE in these parts - SAHM to 6 year old twin boys, wife to a corporate pilot, living in NH, grew up in IL, tennis nut. :thumbsup2 Jump right in - we're friendly folks!

Doug and I are planning to meet some friends and my brother and SIL at a local Irish pub this Sat. night. They usually have a live Celtic band. I don't know if Doug can handle staying up that late.

Sunday the bro and SIL are having a Superbowl party. I don't even know who is playing but we're going. She said not to bring anything. OK. I think we will takes our own drinks.

Anybody else going to some SB parties?

Chat at you all later!

My friend's DH is with D for training, so we'll get together as always, but it's hard to call it a party with two adults and 4 kids. ;) Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned!

I also woke up with a headache, so that's not good.

So did I.

I'm off to get a haircut and enjoy the day before the cold front comes in. Stay warm and have fun playing in the snow. :wave2:

A change, or just a trim? Have fun!

May just need to start a Pre-Trippy to pass the time... :rolleyes1

::yes::

OH! I know what I meant to share... I've been messing around with the Wii Fit I got for my Bday. I'm digging the step aerobics thingie, but the balance board on deep pile carpet isn't really cutting it, y'know? So I had an idea: I stacked it on top of my old step aerobics step that I've been using as a footrest under my desk. Perfect! :thumbsup2 Now I'm getting a much harder workout.

Good thinking!

Get 'em, Jen. :thumbsup2

They should have been closed today instead of yesterday. Everything is just a sheet of ice today:sad2:

I TOTALLY agree - warning, vent ahead:

*****************************************************
So, I went out last night to snow blow just after an early dinner, because the ice was supposed to come. NOTHING was happening when I first went out, but within 5 minutes, it was pouring rain. Not snow, not even a mix, just plain rain.

It made the snow super hard to work with - had to keep stopping to clear the auger - and it took me nearly two hours where it's usually just under one.

I came in, got the kids to bed, and checked the weather. Yup, highest temp of the day at 8:00 - 34. Full on rain. But, of course, it froze overnight again.

So, I was thinking there might be a delay this morning, but no.

The bus usually comes at 7:41. We got outside slightly pushing it at 7:39. No bus... No bus... finally at 8:20 ( yes, that's 40 minutes late) I decided I had to drive them. It usually takes about 7 minutes to get to school, so I thought I was still going to be pretty OK for getting to my fun tennis at 9:00.

We got in the car, it took me 25 minutes to get to school. :sad2: There was an accident, and a lot of people must have felt like I did because we had stop and go traffic for nearly 2 miles before the school. The boys were of course, then, late for the 8:30 start, but on the way we MET our bus - still not even close to our house. So when we got to school, the principal was outside and said it was fine, and I mentioned that we'd still seen their bus pretty far behind us in all that traffic.

I hadn't grabbed my phone, and now it was 8:45 and no way I was getting to tennis on time. I have to go back by the house anyway to get to the gym, so I thought I'd run in and grab my phone. Even without the bad traffic into the school, it took 15 minutes to get home because they finally were towing the accident stuff and the policeman kept me waiting for 10 minutes - when, btw, I saw the bus - 8:50 and still making the last stops. :sad2: I don't know if it was the ice, more traffic, a breakdown, or what, but...

So I pulled in home at 9:00 and grabbed the phone, let them know I was coming to tennis but would be late, and skedaddled over.

I was so sad to miss any of that class - it's my favorite morning of the week - and I had hoped to start laundry and maybe even get my hair washed before going. I knew I needed to hit the grocery store, but I didn't have a list, so when I went after the tennis class, I felt all discombobulated and have no idea if I got what I needed.

And I'm seriously fighting a migraine, making all this harder than it should be.

But, I'm home, I have milk, I don't have to go do anything else today unless I WANT to, so it will be a fine day. It was just a very rocky start.

I have been seeing 70's and 80's stuff around for a year or so. I was going through the old "Cedar Chest" of Mom's and she had a couple of my outfits from back in the day... Sarabeth shouted... "WOW MOM YOU WERE STYLIN' back then ":rotfl2:

What's the matter Dawn...you don't want your kids to dress like the Brady Bunch?:confused3 Put on your Sunday best kids, we're going to Sears!

Katt - :lmao:

CE - Hope the headace goes away

Feel better, CE. I HATE to wake up with a headache...seems those are the hardest to get rid of.

Thanks. Yep, it's not a good start, and you always feel like you're behind on treating them.

Hey Slate? What ever happened with your DS and school? Did you have the meeting with the principal? And feel free to tell me to mind my own business...I won't be offended at all.
