But the other night I noticed Jen (Goofyluver) in here and pooped in to say "HI', and tonight I finally looked in and read page 1.
Welcome! I'm CE in these parts - SAHM to 6 year old twin boys, wife to a corporate pilot, living in NH, grew up in IL, tennis nut.

Jump right in - we're friendly folks!
Doug and I are planning to meet some friends and my brother and SIL at a local Irish pub this Sat. night. They usually have a live Celtic band. I don't know if Doug can handle staying up that late.
Sunday the bro and SIL are having a Superbowl party. I don't even know who is playing but we're going. She said not to bring anything. OK. I think we will takes our own drinks.
Anybody else going to some SB parties?
Chat at you all later!
My friend's DH is with D for training, so we'll get together as always, but it's hard to call it a party with two adults and 4 kids.

Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned!
I also woke up with a headache, so that's not good.
So did I.
I'm off to get a haircut and enjoy the day before the cold front comes in. Stay warm and have fun playing in the snow.
A change, or just a trim? Have fun!
May just need to start a Pre-Trippy to pass the time...
OH! I know what I meant to share... I've been messing around with the Wii Fit I got for my Bday. I'm digging the step aerobics thingie, but the balance board on deep pile carpet isn't really cutting it, y'know? So I had an idea: I stacked it on top of my old step aerobics step that I've been using as a footrest under my desk. Perfect!

Now I'm getting a much harder workout.
Good thinking!
Mornin'. 'Member the bully? He's back. I'll spare ya' the details...let's just say it's not good. And that li'l punk is in for it.
I'll be on my way to Jon's school a bit later.
Someone better send good thoughts to that school, because I am in no mood to play.
Wish me luck.
Get 'em, Jen.
They should have been closed today instead of yesterday. Everything is just a sheet of ice today
I TOTALLY agree - warning, vent ahead:
*****************************************************
So, I went out last night to snow blow just after an early dinner, because the ice was supposed to come. NOTHING was happening when I first went out, but within 5 minutes, it was pouring rain. Not snow, not even a mix, just plain rain.
It made the snow super hard to work with - had to keep stopping to clear the auger - and it took me nearly two hours where it's usually just under one.
I came in, got the kids to bed, and checked the weather. Yup, highest temp of the day at 8:00 - 34. Full on rain. But, of course, it froze overnight again.
So, I was thinking there might be a delay this morning, but no.
The bus usually comes at 7:41. We got outside slightly pushing it at 7:39. No bus... No bus... finally at 8:20 ( yes, that's 40 minutes late) I decided I had to drive them. It usually takes about 7 minutes to get to school, so I thought I was still going to be pretty OK for getting to my fun tennis at 9:00.
We got in the car, it took me 25 minutes to get to school.

There was an accident, and a lot of people must have felt like I did because we had stop and go traffic for nearly 2 miles before the school. The boys were of course, then, late for the 8:30 start, but on the way we MET our bus - still not even close to our house. So when we got to school, the principal was outside and said it was fine, and I mentioned that we'd still seen their bus pretty far behind us in all that traffic.
I hadn't grabbed my phone, and now it was 8:45 and no way I was getting to tennis on time. I have to go back by the house anyway to get to the gym, so I thought I'd run in and grab my phone. Even without the bad traffic into the school, it took 15 minutes to get home because they finally were towing the accident stuff and the policeman kept me waiting for 10 minutes - when, btw, I saw the bus - 8:50 and still making the last stops.

I don't know if it was the ice, more traffic, a breakdown, or what, but...
So I pulled in home at 9:00 and grabbed the phone, let them know I was coming to tennis but would be late, and skedaddled over.
I was so sad to miss any of that class - it's my favorite morning of the week - and I had hoped to start laundry and maybe even get my hair washed before going. I knew I needed to hit the grocery store, but I didn't have a list, so when I went after the tennis class, I felt all discombobulated and have no idea if I got what I needed.
And I'm seriously fighting a migraine, making all this harder than it should be.
But, I'm home, I have milk, I don't have to go do anything else today unless I WANT to, so it will be a fine day. It was just a very rocky start.
