:confused3 Ed - I'm so sorry. You and your family are not having a good start this year! Prayers to your mom!

V - Happy Birthday a little late! Good luck with your changes for your 2009 trip.

Dawn - Any luck with your ADRs?

G-Luv - Sorry about your client. The pirate room sounds like fun, even for just 1 night.

CE - I wished you lived close. I'd ask Doug to get your belt fixed - no Focker Service Fee required. He could have had it done in an hour. BTW, when I get some not so great wine I make spritzers with it. :thumbsup2

Angela - Great pics. I'm glad you had a good time with Mel and gang!

T - I loved that Coral Reef question. I guess if you had a very weak stomach......:confused3

Kat - I'm sorry you and KC felt like poo! I hope you are getting better.

Jo -

Janet - Loved the comment about the Fl. seniors!:rotfl2: When You Tube says public, what do they think that means???? It's like when they drive 100 MPH with a trunk full of pot. Dum, Dum, Dum,:confused3

Hi everybody else!!!
*************************************************************
I have not done anything constructive this last 3 days off. Winter sux.

Max gets his stitches out tomorrow. That is if Doug can get into town. By the looks of things, It is gonna take me an hour to get home from work in the morning. Carp! If it is too bad, I can stay at MIL's here in town.

I'm already reading the last book of the Twilight series - Breaking Dawn. It is completely freaking me out. I loved #3, Eclipse. This last one is a bit hard to swallow, no pun intended.

Well, just got the call that school is cancelled. :sad2:

Oh well at least I won't have to be up at 6:30 checking to make sure and can really sleep in. Plus, my kids will now be able to help me clean up the toy room.:cheer2:

::yes:: I'd rather know now than get the call in the morning. But, we do get calls, we don't have to check, which is nice. :thumbsup2

CE - I wished you lived close. I'd ask Doug to get your belt fixed - no Focker Service Fee required. He could have had it done in an hour. BTW, when I get some not so great wine I make spritzers with it. :thumbsup2

It wound up getting done this afternoon - we went and got it after tennis, left D's car for new tires - and it was pretty cheap, all in all. But, thanks!

Wanted to see how everyone is doing with all this snow and ice. I just read an article about 13 dead from this storm. I hope we do not have any of this while I am trying to drive down to WDW next month.

V sorry I am late but...

pixiedust: Happy Happy Birthday To Youpixiedust:

Hi,,,I talked to my Mom this afternoon, she told me she was diagnosed with leukemia. they dont know which kind yet. .
angelfallen.gif
I dont quite know what to do with the information yet. my heart is heavy..I`m going to take a quick shower. I have to drop the kids off at Mom and Dads. because Steve has his first class tonite. and he told me too late, so I have to work. Jamie is picking them up and taking Ben and Annie to basketball practice at Bradford School....uggg...

Carrie so sorry to here this :grouphug:. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Not yet. I don't know what to do.

Here's what I'm thinkin'...

CSR (pirate room) for Sat. 21st-Thursday.

Then...check into the Poly for Thurs-Sat. 28th.

:confused3

:hyper:

I don't know what to dooooo.

The cost difference is :crazy2: ...but buying into DVC...when is the next chance I'll have to stay at the Poly. :confused3

For this next trip we are in the pirate rooms. I think it is the neatest theming yet by Disney.
I am weird though in the sense that I have no desire to stay at the Poly. If I went fancy it would be the BC for me.

Hi everyone,,Thank you all so much for your hugs and prayers and well wishes. they really mean alot to me. :grouphug: She doesnt know what kind it is yet. I will talk to her tomorrow. I`ve bookmarked the leukemia society web site. With all her health issues I always assumed I would get a call one day from my brother saying that she was found. and it would be "just like that". for some reason this never crossed my mind. :sad2:

So far no info for school cancellation tomorrow..I will probably get a call at 6 am. School gets out on June 19th with snow make up days. june 22-26..
off to play pet society for a little bit///

Good Morning all. I guess with Mel gone I will take the early shift this morning:rolleyes: Schools closed so Jim and Jimmy are:cheer2: :cheer2: . They are going to drive me to work and then come home and play for a bit before therains come and washes it all away.

Work will probably be dead because alot of people will probably call out, so I will be checking in frequently I'm sure.

HAve a good day all!:goodvibes

Good Morning all. I guess with Mel gone I will take the early shift this morning:rolleyes: !:goodvibes

 Morning Janet

I woke up at 4:30 could NOT go back to Sleep. They finally called Schools to be 2 hours late... :cheer2: I LOVE two hours late... No rushing..
We NEVER did get ANYTHING to LOOK AT :headache: but it did cold enough to make some places Icy.. before it warms up to nearly 50 degrees today.

I am Excited... We are going to Williamsburg and Staying at "Great Wolf Lodge" On Sunday. I got rooked out of my Anniversary night there and Kids are out of School Monday.

S'late... When the one opens up in Concord.. we need a "TFW" Meet there.
It's supposed to open in April.. but their rates are ugly.. I guess because it's spring break time. Usually they will have REALLY REALLY CHEAP RATES.. when they first open. Nice Little Water park.. and a great "Winter Escape"

I'm so sorry, Carrie. I will add her to my prayer list! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Of course, I rant about this every 3 weeks or so, (and I'm so sorry) but I hate the schedule in the Northeast, anyway - we get a week off in Feb. AND a week in April, then don't get out until Father's Day (scheduled) and last year it was 6/24, going back to school 8/27. How is that summer? I would rather do a year-round schedule than think of a "normal" summer that turns out to only last 8 weeks, you know? You're a midwesterner, you know what I mean. :lmao: Summer should be all of June, July, and most of August. ;)

I know what you mean, CE. Our school system starts in mid-August (last year it was Aug. 11th), but we get out right after Memorial Day. We have two built-in snow days and as of today, we've used them both! We now have school on the Tuesday after President's Day and the Friday before Memorial Day. Any more snow days and we'll start adding days at the end of the year. I'm hoping we'll still be out of school before the end of May. :thumbsup2

::yes:: My plow drifts are taller than you. ;)

But I'm trying not to get as down this winter. :joker: So I guess maybe I'm happy that I won't have to get up early :confused3 - beyond the fact, of course, that the auto call system will likely call me at 5:30. ;)

Our auto call system didn't call me until 6:45 this morning. It was really late. I started worrying that we'd actually have school today, until I looked outside and saw 9 inches on the ground! All I could think is that the busses for the high school kids usually come around 7am, so they were cutting it a little close!

Hidy Ho, we got snow!!!! Yep all you Eastern Fockers are in for a lot more!! It started this afternoon and is still going strong. I think we've gotten about 4" so far. Ice to the south. I'll be back with some quotes in a minute.

:rotfl2: We definitely got some, didn't we Kristel? I had to drive DH's friend to the airport last night. The trip usually takes about 30-45 minutes each way. I left home at 4:20pm, got to the airport at 6:00pm and then got home at 8:00pm. The interstates were horrible! And the girls were going squirrely in the car too! Not an enjoyable evening!

 Morning Janet

I woke up at 4:30 could NOT go back to Sleep. They finally called Schools to be 2 hours late... :cheer2: I LOVE two hours late... No rushing..

Katt, I'd be happy to share some of our snow with you! I'm not looking forward to spending my day digging out! And of course, with DH's friend here all day yesterday (and DH at work, leaving me to entertain him), I didn't make it to the grocery store for the normal milk and bread! :rotfl2: Actually, I'm almost out of milk, so it's really not a joke. But, we can survive...

The funniest thing this morning was watching my dog try to go to the bathroom outside. He's a Sheltie, so he has pretty short legs. The snow was so high that he could barely walk in it. I think he finally found a not-so-deep area where he could do his business without being buried in the snow, but it was hilarious to watch him! I guess I'll have to dig out a place for him later this morning.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Keep warm!

Hi, Heather! :)

Are you prepping for snow tomorrow, too? I don't know where in MA you are (it's OK, it's just that I'm pretty close to the line - but of course you might be west or south or whatever...) ;)

I'm in SE MA, and we were prepared for snow. So far it's not horrible, but we shall see.

 Morning Janet

Morning

I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Keep warm!

HI Jodi :wave2: You too. Hope you are able to get some milk.

Janet - Loved the comment about the Fl. seniors!:rotfl2: When You Tube says public, what do they think that means???? It's like when they drive 100 MPH with a trunk full of pot. Dum, Dum, Dum,:confused3

This is why I need a stupid stamp! ::yes::

. I hope we do not have any of this while I am trying to drive down to WDW next month.

I didn't know you were going next month, or did I????:confused3

We are kindred spirits, becasue I too have no desire to stay at the Poly! My dream is Boardwalk.

You have to take pics of the pirate rooms for us!:thumbsup2

IT's all rain here now and it is going up to 40, so by the time I get home the mess should mostly be gone!

So, um.... this is probably not the best time to report a high of 76 today, huh?

:teeth:

I'm sorry! I'll try to steer some of it northward, k? :flower3:

Thanks for all the input on restaurants. I think Coral Reef will be the first off my list; I can get the best seafood right here at home, so no need to pay a lot for eh food. I think I'll have to decide between CA Grill and Jiko for a nice dinner; both is a little over the budget, y'know? The rest are still under consideration.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

I like this idea :thumbsup2 We could even do pizzas at the Spoodles pizza window and make it super casual.
Oooo, I likey! :thumbsup2
Side note...Tusker house. :thumbsup2 I know you and Leo aren't big fans of AK, but the food at TH was YUM!
Shhh... don't tell Leo - we're not going to AK!
Heh heh. Actually, the character thing would be the deciding factor; Leo doesn't do characters anymore. :headache:

This sounds like an excellent idea! Heck, if we get adventurous and/or drunk enough, we might could even rent those crazy bike thingies and race around the lake. :rotfl2:
OMG, can you imagine?! :lmao:

Although I just read a review that it was her fav of the trip. Near the bottom. http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=29749144&postcount=199
::yes:: Tink has me intrigued! I've eaten there before - the margaritas were AMAZING, but the food was meh.

HI ladies. :grouphug: to everyone.
And to you, too, T2!

Ah! Yeah I would love to do the 4/3 thingie, but I can't justify buying tix when I have an AP, unless they let me do the buy 1 day tix thing. I tried reading the terms and conditions but it didn't say anything. :confused3
Yep, you can do it with a 1 day ticket, then convert that into an AP. :thumbsup2

Carrie - another for you:

Morning... I refuse to say good morning because I don't want to be up. We all got the sinus/allergy crap and I did something to a muscle in my leg that makes it hard to walk. It stiffens up and hurts after sitting too, so what's a tired momma to do? :sad2:

Katt- Your get away sounds so fun! :thumbsup2

Carrie- I hope you get some information soon.

V- I'm happy for Mel that it's nice there. She needed a break from the winter weather and blahs. :upsidedow

Uh-oh - have you tried heat on it?

Me too - hope she's having a blast!

Probably not:rolleyes:
Don't worry - you can hold it over me when summer rolls around. ;)

Oh babe. and many good thoughts. Let us know WHAT you NEED. You understand?

Hi everyone! I just got back from WDW last night. We left Friday after work and stayed at POP. I got $49 AP rate. Both my kids were born Jan 25, so they got the birthday gift cards - $63 each.

I could not believe how crowded WDW was. We went to MK Saturday and there were about 8 Brazilian tour groups. We left at lunch and went to Epcot to eat. We ate the CS in Japan and it was really good. They only offered Teriyaki chicken for the kids and ds did not like it, but dd shared the Noodle Bowl with me and loved it. We went back to MK for SpectroMagic. There was a fight right next to us. The guy in front of us told us he goes this same week every year and it has never been busy like this. Watched Wishes, then we went to ride Splash Mtn - no wait. It was dd's first time riding SM and she loved it. She clapped after we did the big Splash. I thought she would be scared.

Sunday we went to AK just to ride EE. Then we went to DHS, then DTD. The kids got to spend their gift cards.
Monday we did Epcot. Mel told me she would be there, but we never saw her. We took the boat to DHS to see Fantasmic. Some friends were at WDW at the same time, so we met them for Fantasmic and also Spectro and Wishes.

Sunday morning, our neighbor called us to tell us our dog died. They fed her Saturday night and she was fine. He went to feed her Sunday morning and she was dead. She was old. I just hate that it happened while we were out of town.

I just texted her and asked what she's up to today. :thumbsup2 She said she's in line at Earl of Sandwich. The boys and Bob are at BB, then they're going to MK tonight. princess:

When we checked out of Pop yesterday, we went to DTD and ate at Wolfgang Puck Express. We were walking by EoS about this time. I can't believe I missed her!

Sounds just like what LL and I experienced last year. :sad2:

Hooray!

Oh my gosh - I'm so sorry!

Don't worry - you can hold it over me when summer rolls around. ;)

But see I can't, because I like Florida in August:thumbsup2

Since you had passes is the $63 what they got for their birthday instead of admission?

Yay!!!! Was this a planned trip or a spur of the moment thing? Sounds like you had a great time! :cool1: :cheer2:

I'm so sorry! :grouphug: I would hate it if it happened to us when we were gone too!

~~~~~~~~~~~
So, we've got just about a foot of snow here since last night. I just spent about an hour shoveling and only got about 1/3 of the driveway done. I need a little break to warm up and let my back stop hurting!
I don't think we'll be going anywhere today.... so I guess shoveling will be my workout! :rolleyes:
