Wow, impressive! Is that on your resume? ;)

I would be glad to visit you even if you did make refried beans.

Of course it's on my resume. Right under my real name...Fabulous *****. ;)

And my door's always open to my Fockers. :teeth:

Hi,,,I talked to my Mom this afternoon, she told me she was diagnosed with leukemia. they dont know which kind yet. .

I dont quite know what to do with the information yet. my heart is heavy..I`m going to take a quick shower. I have to drop the kids off at Mom and Dads. because Steve has his first class tonite. and he told me too late, so I have to work. Jamie is picking them up and taking Ben and Annie to basketball practice at Bradford

Oh, Carrie. I'm so, so sorry honey. If there's anything I can do... I am fairly close to you, after all.

I laid on the couch and crashed eventually. It just makes me feel more tired but some sleep is better than none I guess.

Well, D's off and the kids are in bed. I got a message from Woody's teacher anticipating no school tomorrow, so we do all feel the same way. Of course, weather can be wrong, but it looks nasty. Our local station is saying we're in the 10-14 inches of snow "band" so to speak. :sad2:

I'll be checking in all night. I've kind of become readdicted to Sims 2, so I'll probably pop that on, too. I've got a new crop of college grads to mess with! :p

See you later!

Why? Do you poot a lot from eating too many refried beans?

:rotfl2: I'm not a big refried beans person either. Flan on the other hamd...

Glad D got off. Is the no school thing good or bad? We had off today due to snow and it's looking like we'll be off tomorrow as well. We are already on a 2 hour delay and I did hear freezing rain hitting some of our awnings outside earlier. If we are cancelled tomorrow it will NOT be a good thing in our house! LOL

It was hard to get enough time with people...especially if you were at a far away table.

Much like T doesn't eat meat off a bone....Kate doesn't karaoke. :mic:

I didn't say I was participating. My plan was to videotape;)

I say we just meet somewhere on the BW and take over the joint! :jumping1: Drinks can be gotten (I think) at a variety of places, lots of room for kids to run around, it's a public area, so it's not like we'd have issues with guests/non-guests... just a thought!

Awesome idea!:thumbsup2

Hello stranger. Where have you been?

See you later!

It just started snowing here but they change the forecast every 1/2 hour. We won't know until the last minute what the heck is going on!:sad2:

I call it bad. We have already had 6 snow days this year - 4 were because of that horrible ice storm and didn't reflect actual snow, but still... We are now having school on President's Day and they changed a half-day to a full day in March, because with our current 6, we're already off the scheduled "chart" for snow days - and last year we had snow days in March. We've got a long way to go with winter. :sad2:

Of course, I rant about this every 3 weeks or so, (and I'm so sorry) but I hate the schedule in the Northeast, anyway - we get a week off in Feb. AND a week in April, then don't get out until Father's Day (scheduled) and last year it was 6/24, going back to school 8/27. How is that summer? I would rather do a year-round schedule than think of a "normal" summer that turns out to only last 8 weeks, you know? You're a midwesterner, you know what I mean. :lmao: Summer should be all of June, July, and most of August. ;)

Gotcha. I haven't talked to him - he should be roughly in CT about now. Looks like he's getting fairly close to some snow, if my time estimates are correct. ;)

Oh, and now they're calling for 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch of ice here, on top of our snow. I am not ready for more power outages. Gah.

Evening All !!! No time to catch up what did I miss????:wave2: Realy busy at work this week and it's Kyle's real Birthday tomorrow ! We are going to Bob Evans for supper . His choice !:thumbsup2

Gah. It's times like these, CE, that I'm grateful that I live in the desert. Although your pics are always pretty. I probably wouldn't be able to walk through them snow drifts. ;)

::yes:: My plow drifts are taller than you. ;)

I miss El Paso, sometimes. It had enough cold to have "seasons", but they got excited by a dusting of snow. Sounds good about now.

And truly, the snow is the snow. The ice is something else. And the snow gets annoying as I realize that my walkway to my house is starting to feel like a tunnel because it's not melting off between storms.

But I'm trying not to get as down this winter. :joker: So I guess maybe I'm happy that I won't have to get up early :confused3 - beyond the fact, of course, that the auto call system will likely call me at 5:30. ;)

Carrie, no offense, but I am having some wine I found at our local 'fancy schmancy' wine store today. It's from Rhode Island. It is not so good. :rotfl:

Last edited by cmp1111 : Today at 06:57 PM. Reason: I'm drinking it anyway. Because, really, why waste wine?

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Ummm...I know who ya' could share with. ;)

Hi, Heather! :)

Are you prepping for snow tomorrow, too? I don't know where in MA you are (it's OK, it's just that I'm pretty close to the line - but of course you might be west or south or whatever...) ;)

Hidy Ho, we got snow!!!! Yep all you Eastern Fockers are in for a lot more!! It started this afternoon and is still going strong. I think we've gotten about 4" so far. Ice to the south. I'll be back with some quotes in a minute.

Ugh...that does stink! I couldn't even imagine having to send my kids all they way up until the end of June.

I think we've had 3 snow days here in just this month. And maybe 1-2 in December. Last week was rough since we had Thur off because of snow, Fri becuase of cold, the weekend off and then Mon for MLK day. I was soooooooo ready to send them both back to school that Tues! And of course Lindsey comes home with a ton of paperwork and a ton of homework to do...for KINDY!!!

We are already set for a 2 hour delay in the morning but I have a feeling we'll end up being cancelled because we have the freezing rain coming down right now.

Yep, the weather we got is heading right for ya.

Well, just got the call that school is cancelled. :sad2:

Oh well at least I won't have to be up at 6:30 checking to make sure and can really sleep in. Plus, my kids will now be able to help me clean up the toy room.:cheer2:
