In my News of the Weird, my washing machine is randomly leaking.
What a pain in the rear. I think I would go ahead and call the repairman. My fridge was randomly leaking a couple months ago. I kept thinking it was ice in the chute, but it had a clogged tube.

Hope she naps for you!
She did, but we got in bed at 7 and from 7-11 my phone rang 3 times. Ughhh!
I'm just stressed about Aiden going to school is what it is, I guess.
Sorry to hear you are so stressed about it. I don't know if I could do all that you do. It is stressful and you are doing a great job!
:cheer2: Happy birthday, Mary!!! :cheer2:

I hope you get that sleep you wanted for your birthday! :goodvibes
Thanks!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I would rather keep it on the down-low, but no one in my family will let me forget. At least I didn't get a sympathy card like one sis sent to another last week. DS likes to tell everyone how old I am.

Did ya really think we would keep it low key!!:rotfl2: Don't ya hate the swet soles who love to quote your age !!!!!!:lmao:

Jo - I think you are the only one awake. Baby Girl will not go to sleep tonight. I've been up all night. She better sleep after the bus picks up Hamboy because I plan on sleeping then.

Oh, man, that's rough. I'm sorry!

Hi ladies just a quick drive by to say Hello. Need to check on a few things for trip and get some sleep. I have my observation for my student teaching next Monday. I thought is was at the end of the class but it is at the middle. School is going good. I have not forgot about the bed pictures I just haven't takent he time to down load them yet.
Here is  for all that need them.

Hi, Margie!

I'll pop in later when you lazy people wake up.

Hi, Mel!

Check in later today after the funeral. A good friend of mine lost her husband Friday. Found out he had Cancer in December,, now he's gone.

Oh, honey...

Not much going on here today. Although I did 5 loads of laundry on Sunday, looks like I've got a bunch more to do today :laundy: I'm not sure who is wearing all the clothes in the house

I hear ya. I feel like I am washing the kids' stuff every other day, but it's a week's worth of clothes every time? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Supposedly gonna do my taxes today, we'll see if I can stay awake.

Good luck. Apparently part of the bank bailout allowed some banks to hold off the tax statements until 2/15, so I don't even have all my documents yet. And we'll need the stuff from D's work to deal with that all over again. Still haven't heard back about the 2007 stuff - neither a letter nor our refund. :sad2:

In my News of the Weird, my washing machine is randomly leaking. I reached down to pick up some lint in the laundry room Sun. and the floor was soaked. 3 towels later, it was all cleaned up and I moved things around to get a good look at the washer. Definitely not leaking from any hoses on the outside, but the bottom of the back panel felt wet, so I figured it must be leaking somewhere inside. Turned it on and off a few times trying to pinpoint it... and no more leaks! Gramma ran 3 loads of her laundry that day, and not another leak to be seen. I'm completely perplexed, but I'm not calling the repair guy until I see more action. :rotfl:

That is odd!

The question then becomes do I still leave early becasue of the weather or do I save the vacation time!

Personally, I'd save the time. ;)

Sorry I went on and on... I've been stressed about it.

It's OK - vent away.

Work today. I still feel :crazy2:

Jon is :sad2:

I need a vacation. ::yes::

 Not too long, now.

Wow just a quick drive by. I am playing school and camp fire with Bug.

Sounds like fun!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARY!!!!! pixiedust:

I know I'm probably behind, again, but I started this quote and then wound up walking away...

Tennis was good, I needed yet another trip to the grocery store, and now we're probably going to catch up on some TV. :thumbsup2 D's going skiing tomorrow, and I have nothing but the kids' yoga at 4:00. So, I may not be around much today, but I'll be able to do some more tomorrow. ;)

Have a good one, all!

Well, today has turned into the day from H-E- double hockey sticks! It's been snowing all morning here and our 1-2" prediction has turned into 4-6" with 30 mph winds, meaning that plowing is basically useless because of drifting. DD4 (now 5)'s birthday is today and the party was planned for this afternoon. I've now had to postpone it until tomorrow and she's not taking the news well at all. There is a 20 car pile up on the interstate near our house with 3 confirmed fatalities. A 30-mile stretch is totally closed. There is no way I can ask people to drive in this weather!

So, two of her friends who live very close to us are coming over. We'll do a mini party today and then the regular party tomorrow. I'm trying to convince her that this way she gets to have three parties! She's not buying it.

Anyway, I'm dealing with a very sad girl today. :sad1:

Yep, I was right. Um, biscuits here are like a bread roll. I keep forgetting that they're cookies in England! D'oh! It looks yummy, but then I pretty much like anything encased in bread. :lmao:
It's not bread Mel, do you have Yorkshire pudding there? It's milk, flour and eggs like a pancake batter!

Notice the arm extension for taking care of hair in those "hard to reach" areas? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Ewww :rotfl2:

just a drive by ................. checking in to say i'm okay, moved into our house last weekend. now busy unpacking. and, our kitchen sink won't drain, so the plumber was supposed to come over today, but never did. so, now he's coming tomorrow.............. let's hope.!!
Glad you're in, hope the sink gets fixed!

Jo I LOVE the pix of Toad in the Hole !!Could you do me a favour and post the pix of it over on my PTR for one of my readers whose wife just recently made Yorkshires for the first time and I was telling him about Toad in the Hole! !:flower3:
Will do :thumbsup2

Jo - London snow storm made the NY news, :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: Well it is our worst snow for 18 years!!! I think you need some chill out time just reading at WDW

Hello... Anybody Home... I am :goodvibes
Welcome home!

Where's Jo when I need her?
I'm sorry Mary I was painting, hope you get a better nights sleep tonight

I'm sure my girls put clean clothes in the laundry rather than hang them up :headache:

:faint: OMG, every car we owned was equipped with a slepping bag rated for -40 degrees, a snow shovel, an ice scraper, lock de-icer, cat litter and a snow brush. I STILL carry the scraper and brush in my car! :rotfl:
Cat litter???

The question then becomes do I still leave early becasue of the weather or do I save the vacation time!@:confused3
What ever you need to to stay safe

I'm just stressed about Aiden going to school is what it is, I guess.
Is this the homeschool school that you were talking about or public school?

Jess was off school again, it hasn't snowed any more but has just all turned to ice  I did a bit of painting in the girls bedrooms and hung some pictures that we've had for years in Jess's room!!!! Jess meanwhile blew my laptop up  I don't know what she did but it won't boot up, just goes round in circles so I'm on the slow PC so won't be on much till my laptop is fixed!

David went into work, not to teach but to clear the range of snow, they had between 1 and 2 feet there, so hopefully they can open quicker!

Mum flew to Egypt today and Dad is off to America in 2 days time for 5 weeks!!!

How about your "water Pump".. the hose around those things can deteriorate or sometimes even shift.. and you get an Intermittent leak. Even worse if SOMETHING was in a pocket like change.. and it gets stuck in there and they will leak.

Now .. I know you would NEVER leave anything in your pockets V.. but here
:headache: It has happened... :headache:
The clamps on those hoses can be a MONSTER to get off.

Morning...
Katt-

I'm just stressed about Aiden going to school is what it is, I guess. He's a really smart boy, but a little resistant to learning how to read. I haven't really pushed him because I figure he'll do it soon enough and we won't have to fight about it. So, we've been working slowly on it and now I feel pressuerd because the school will test him for placement. When I talked to a firend who has a dd in Kinder there she told me what they were working on, and we're not there. I thought I had the summer before they test, but I was told they test in June. :crazy2:
I don't want him in kindergarten again in the fall. He'll be 7 in November and I refuse to let anyone put him there. they do test them in each subject and put them in different ones according to their level, so I guess if he's behind in reading (he won't be in the rest of the subjects), I'll just refrain from rputting him in that class, I guess. :confused3

.

WHOA WHOA... What did I miss.. are the kids going "PUBLIC" next year ?? :confused3

Poor Thing... they build up their hopes... and get so crushed when they do not happen or was NOT WHAT they EXPECTED.

I am sooo tired.. I have exactly 15 minutes till Sarabeth gets home.. before I have to begin schoolwork.
Funeral went long.. and trying to sing... yeah.. THAT WENT WELL.
Should have worn the waterproof stuff I have.

I still owe a recap from our Great Wolf Adventures. Here is a "Teaser".. If you have been to one of these Hotel's/waterparks.. they have a water ride called the "Howling Tornado" Much like the Tornado rides at Wet and Wild.
Lets just say I am glad it was dark.....Because..... I had an escapee.... :rolleyes1

Hello Ms. Jo..

Katt. for today darlin'.

The "escapee" cracked me the hell up though. The kids just looked at me like I'm crazy.

Cat litter???
::yes:: It serves a dual purpose:
1. adds weight to the back of the car, preventing the dreaded "fishtailing" on ice."
2. can be poured in front of or behind wheels to gain traction if stuck. :thumbsup2

How about your "water Pump"..

That's what I kind of suspect - it seemed like maybe the water was in that area.

As for pocket contents... I have a 6yo boy - need I say more?!

WHOA WHOA... What did I miss.. are the kids going "PUBLIC" next year ?? :confused3
I was just thinking the same thing - Dawn, did I miss something, too? FWIW, Leo really, really struggled with reading until a couple months ago. All of a sudden, it just came.

Poor thing! Poor you! When my ds had a party when he was 4 we had a low turnout and I was more disappointed than he was.
Hopefully once the two friends come over she'll cheer up.
Happy birthday to her.

Wow you have a lot going on!
I hate it when we get ice - which is more often than we get snow.
What color did you paint the bedrooms?
Laptop not working! How will you sruvive! I would be in withdrawal.

OMG. Sounds like a funny story! Well - to the rest of us anyway. I've never stayed at Great Wolf, but hear that it is so much fun!

O

Wow, well that's a pain. I didn't know that, I tend to not get to watch too much TV/News unless it's recorded :guilty: . Luckily we've received all our documents and the ones we didn't we were able to print the 1098/1099 forms online. Hope you have a good ski day! :thumbsup2

Anyway, I'm dealing with a very sad girl today. :sad1:

Awwww :grouphug:. Is there a way you can do a do-over birthday on the weekend maybe?

Jess was off school again, it hasn't snowed any more but has just all turned to ice  I did a bit of painting in the girls bedrooms and hung some pictures that we've had for years in Jess's room!!!! Jess meanwhile blew my laptop up

:headache: I hope you can get your laptop fixed or a new one soon Jo.
How exciting you Mum going to Egypt! :goodvibes

:cake: Happy Birthday Mary!!! :cake:

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

So I tried staying awake to go with my Mom to do our taxes and failed miserably. I woke up and she was gone, so I'll do mine another time. Oh well, think I'll go back to sleep. :p

O.K

HOW OLD is the washer ?
CAN you GET to the Water Pump ??
If there is something in there.. you can usually pour it out. But like I said undoing that RE-DOING those hoses is a real... ;) You know . Are your ready for a 100 dollar service call??
