I can always count on you guys! Thanks for hugging on me!

Carrie- don't worry about me too much! I always make lemonade out of lemons! :cutie:

K just got home, so I can only post a quick tidbit. It looks like we're moving back to Austin. K's company wants him back in the main office to run things there. It's a great thing to even have a job right now, so as much as I so sad that I have to leave the people I've come to love here, it's what we have to do.

I feel so much better now, but telling the kids will be horrible. Poor B's going to be so crushed.

I better run. We need to talk...
:grouphug:

Drunken franish? :lmao:

I`m staying up for Conans last show tonite. :goodvibes
Until June 1st at 11:30! :happytv:

I`m trying to drink a Mikes. but my throat is sore and it hurts a little going down..:sad2:

Oh no Dawn! your right about feeling lucky about K having a job. it almost sounds like a promotion. how far is Austin from where you are now? I didnt think it was all that far.
you`ll work it out as a family. you have a strong and loving family and it will be okay. :goodvibes

Oh, Dawn. I'm glad you're feeling better. You said you missed people there, too, right? (though I know you said you didn't want to go back...) Are you worried about B's dance? She'll find things there. My cousin was on the dance team at UT, I can ask her for good studios and stuff. Let me know, OK?

It will all be OK, and you know we're here for you.

dawn- i know how you feel. it's hard, but it will all work out. we're here when you need us.

Thanks for the update praise! :goodvibes It only makes sense me doing a recap for the day seein' how I'm the last person on here most of the time. I hope everyone is getting some sleep!!!

Katt says it is cold in Virginia. It's cold here too. Snow and wind likely for Saturday. I do see that we will have another teaser temp. next week.

MizD has a pirate princess living with her. She thinks that being healthy is keeping her awake. I am shocked that she doesn't know what 'LOTR' stands for. Of course Disney wasn't involved with it - Lord of the Rings. I classify myself as one of the weirdos that has watched it at least 40 times - Extended versions - all 3 movies. That's 9 hours, people if you don't include the extras!

Lori - 'F' bomb attack with kids. OOPSY. She feels terrible. Diagnosis- Potty mouth brought on by severe sleep deprivation.

Sharkbait's #1 kiddo has a Lego competition Saturday.

Lessa knows LOTR. :cheer2: Sorry to hear about your grandma's state.

V is Cold, as in temperature. Any changes to the 'Plan' yet?

Dawn says meetings with no alcohol or games are boring. Has a mom's lunch and dance practice tomorrow - I think? No drinking games there either? Still too devistated to talk. We'll be here if you need us. :grouphug:

Mel extolls the virtues of the 30 second rule in the Army when it comes to Potty Mouth when awakened suddenly. Bob is sick. SD is still sick but went to school. Snow storm may hinder Gus's bunny adoption.

Janet went to the funeral of a fallen officer Friday. Feelin' icky and just chillin' this wkend.

Kat is chillin' and keeping KC company at work. She's planning a 'honeymoon' anniversary for next February. I don't have to tell you where do I?

T found round trip air for $300. She's a happy camper.

Jo is back from her trip to see the family. Says her nephew is perfect. Her nanny is not. David got back from Glasgow.

CE is busy. Got a windbreaker for her b-day. And a hot glue gun. SIL gave her some friends. I guess she had some to spare. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is "Friends", season 3.

Z is going to do a mini-TR when she gets time. We all talk too much and she runs out of time to post the TR after getting caught up. She thinks this thread will get wrapped up this wkend.

Hedy stopped by to say 'Hi'! She gave a hug or 2.

Rose found that she loves White Trash, Po' Boy cookin'! My specialty. She needs an Irish dessert recipe for next week.

I am working all weekend. Hooray for me!!

I hope everybody is doing alright and have a good weekend!

:grouphug:

 making lemonade. I bet it will be a good move for you.

Kristel - you are hysterical with your updates. :lmao:

CE - I'm so glad my ds isn't into girls yet. But I hope he plays the field when he does.:rotfl2:

Dawn... baby doll. Things'll work out honey. Your kidlets will be fine...because they have a great foundation to fall back on. ::yes::

Lessa knows LOTR. :cheer2: Sorry to hear about your grandma's state.

I am a big LOTR geek myself, I am like you, have watched the Extended Editions about a million times and laugh my butt off at the MTV spoof of the first movie, you know the "Council of Elrond". :lmao: Have you watched the cast commentary of the first movie, hilarious!

Dawn - Sorry you are bummed out about the move, I am sure everything will work out in the end.

Sorry about your nanny. Holy Cow! That's alot of money. Showering would be cheaper. ;)
So true :rotfl2:

I understand about your grandmother, mine is getting to that point. She is 85 now and just does not feel motivated to go about the daily business of life anymore, she has been getting worse ever since grandpa died in May. She just got out of the hospital (she was put in as she was not eating enough and was very weak) and my dad has moved her in with him as she can no longer live on her own. She wasn't really on her own before as my aunt lived right next door to her but she now needs constant supervision and they did not want to put her in a nursing home.
My Mum lives right next door but says it's not up to her to wash Nanny's clothes or anything  Sorry about your Nan

 But the prime rib is sooooo yummy! I do like O'hana though too.
I love the prime rib too!

Oh, good! No wrong turns at security? :)
No :rotfl2:

Jo. Welcome home! :flower3:
Thanks :goodvibes

Oh no  As others have said how far is it? Will you have to sell up?

Thanks for the update praise! :goodvibes It only makes sense me doing a recap for the day seein' how I'm the last person on here most of the time. I hope everyone is getting some sleep!!!
Kristel you really are fantastic :faint:

I am a big LOTR geek myself,
OK still don't know what LOTR is :rotfl2:

Off to Jessica's golf lesson soon, it's later today as they're doing a skills challenge. It's nice and sunny here :goodvibes

Hi Jo! :wave2:

Kristel, you rock! :thumbsup2

Dawn,. I moved from Dallas to Memphis in 5th grade and didn't want to go either, but now with email and FB, it's so much easier to stay in touch. And I found my friends from elementary on FB now. :goodvibes Good luck.

Good luck with this. And, Mary's got it right. Time to make some lemonade.

We went through a couple stressful potential transfers that never materialized when I was growing up and one that actually did when I was in high school. Take some consolation in the fact that K's company values him enough that they want to relocate him to stay with the company and work at the main office.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

PS Kristel- Thx for the recap!

:scared1: Texas Momma say What??

Dawn... I will remember B in my prayers. As tough as this is you know "Our Steps ARE ORDERED". Your Current town was just for a season... and that season looks like it is over. Maybe she can grasp that.

Didn't you have an INCREDIBLE Church in Austin ??
How soon is he needed there?? and any chance of the company supporting this "HOUSE" Thing ??

You know you can call me.. or I will have to call you.

Dawn- I am sorry for the move. I know you will make lemonade from this, but it still is a bummer, esp. for the little ones. Do you have timing on when this needs to happen?

T- I just knew you'd find better airfare! Yea!!!

CE- I missed your b-day on here, but caught you on FB in time. BUT AGAIN-
Happy Birthday !!!!

Hello to everyone! I am just running trying to keep up with my own life right now. Baby, there is snow outside! All of our snow had melted (go figure MN no snow in Feb.!). WE got a fresh layer so it it nice and clean looking again.

Tink's school has little mini community event/carnival today at DS school (for space reasons). I have to work it for the first half, then bring Tink around to all of the activities.

Have a great day!

You guys are so sweet.
We'll be okay. I know we will. I just worry about Baylie. She really came into her own here these last few years. She's finally so happy. :sad1: We haven't even been here 3 years yet. :sad2:

We do have really good friends back in Austin, a great church, a wonderufl homeschool group and family. It's only about 1.25 hours from where we are now, so we can visit whenever we want for the day.

K's family will still be in SA, so we will come visit them all the time. I know it could be so much worse and I'm grateful it's not. It's going to be hard on us, though. :guilty:

In a way, it's sort of a promotion, but I'm sure in this economy he won't get a raise. They've offered to buy our house, so we don't have to wrry about that. But I do worry about the price they'll pay. We owe much less than it's worth. Without that equity, we can't purchase another house. :confused3
Part of me wants to just go now, and part of me wants to wait until the school year I over because of dance. I'm not sure when they need him. And being that it's a weekend, we won't get answers until at least Monday. :headache:

I have to run B to dance and I'll be out a lot today, but I'll check in later. Everyone have a nice Saturday. :goodvibes

I am working all weekend. Hooray for me!!

I hope everybody is doing alright and have a good weekend!

You, too, Kristel. Amazing job, as always!

CE - I'm so glad my ds isn't into girls yet. But I hope he plays the field when he does.:rotfl2:

Well, Woody's already been engaged but broken it off and decided to be just friends. :rotfl: All his really good friends are girls, too. Buzz could really care less about the whole marriage/liking girls thing, but this girl is a really good friend. SHE wants to marry him, and he doesn't think about it much, so he's fine with it. :rotfl:

Off to Jessica's golf lesson soon, it's later today as they're doing a skills challenge. It's nice and sunny here :goodvibes

Hope she has fun! It's nice and sunny here too, but it's 25, which translates to -3 for you. ;)

CE- I missed your b-day on here, but caught you on FB in time. BUT AGAIN-
Happy Birthday !!!!

Thanks, Jen. :)

*********************************************************
I am in full blown stress mode over this trip. (and I do realize it's nothing compared to some of you guys' stress, but...) I haven't done laundry or packed, I JUST remembered to stop the mail and paper. I have no idea what to make for the dinner I'm in charge of, because I'm having a hard time thinking of something for 12 people. I have to shop for that today, and since I've not ever done a trip like this with a rental house, am thinking of stuff like, "If I need salt for the recipe, I probably need to bring it, crap."

I have no idea how we're going to transport everything, since we're taking the dog, and I'm just in general "Oh, *&%$" mode. :rotfl:

The boys have basketball at noon, and I will have to take them grocery shopping afterwards. I hate taking them shopping. I would have done it yesterday, but I was even less decided about what to buy, and I didn't want my b-day to be full of running at full-tilt from one thing to another. I may regret it now.

Gah.

Well, I need to get going, I guess. I have two hours before we leave for b-ball, so I should do laundry and then see what else I can get done.

Gah.

Have a good day, all! I hope the sickos are getting better! :grouphug:

Good morning lovelies.

I guess I need to spill on some things, eh?

First...our trip to Albuquerque the beginning of this week: Yes, Jon has polyarticular juvenile onset rheumatoid arthritis. We will be returning to Albuquerque in a few weeks to discuss treatment options. Right now, the affected joints are his ankles, knees, hips, fingers, wrists, and elbows. :sad1:

Second...our trip to Dallas: It was the trip from hell. Here's the thing...Meeska's ex-hubby is a jerk. We'll leave it at that. He behaves like a child. I felt the need to snatch her up and hug her after watching how he treats her. :sad2:

And last...Jon got very ill yesterday. He has rheumatic fever. Scared the **** out of me. Please. If ya' have a spare moment...send good thoughts to my li'l guy.

I have never been SO ready for a vacation. And mine is officially 28 days away! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Dawn... babe.
