Hi Fockers,

Count me in on being a winner in the Universal ticket offer, I'll be using it for my September trip:thumbsup2

!

:sad1: Drat... That could have come in handy for me in June too:sad1:
We are looking to do both Busch and Universal .Be our first time.
But I'm happy for all my Sisters. I just never hear about the offer.. must have been while I was MIA

Wow--congrats on the universal tickets--I've never been although Ab seems to think it would be fun.......seems kinda wrong somehow.....but free would be nice!

It's still snowing here..........no school the whole week. :crazy2:

You should move to NO SNOW HERE, Virginia :guilty:

Wow, now I really want to read it! :lmao:

Here is one of them that I am cutting. I don't think it is that bad.

When I was 16, my mom read my diary. Shortly after, she gave me Forever
by Judy Blume to read because she said it would make me not want to have sex before I got married.

I'm keeping the rest. By the way - the book actually made me want to.

Congrats to everyone who won the Universal tickets. I missed the posting on that, too Katt.

Mel posted to go to the site during the Super Bowl on Sunday. I just happened to log on since we were DVRing the game. So I ran over and signed up.

Exhausted!

This is how I feel about right now. :confused3 ;)

My DS won 3rd place in the Imagination Fair at school tonight. His category was English Literature, which he wrote a "book" on our new President and how he feels about him. :)

What is this talk about a girls trip? I don't know where it is on FB, but I have seen nothing. :upsidedow Who is planning it? When? Yadda...?

As for the Universal passes... I have got nadda for emails telling me that I am a winner. I entered that drawing well before it was posted here on the Focker thread. Bummer.

Here's to trying to fall asleep. It is hard, even though I am totally exhausted! oh well.

I could've sworn I checked in here today. Ooops.

Hi all!!!

I see everyone had a good day and Kristel still hasn't come back to answer the mysterious heart picture.
BTW I think it's a hedgehog on life support too :rotfl:

Congrats to the Universal Winners!!! :cheer2:

I keep calling my Mom..she hasnt heard from the Dr about what type of Leukemia it is yet. they told her 7-10 days. its about 10 days now. someone told her it could take 6 weeks before she knows for sure. :sad2:
She told me yesterday,,that "as long as I havent heard anything, nothing is wrong with me..it was just a big dream. and the big bruises on my arms from them taking blood are not there at all!" :lmao: it was funny how she said it..her spirits are way up.(so it seems anyway) My birthmom. offered to take the kids anytime I needed her or my sisters, in order to go up and spend time with my Mom. I wont take her up on it, because of everything Elizabeth has been going through..plus my Dad and his wife live up there also.

Not knowing would be driving me crazy! I'm glad she has a good attitude about it.

I did make it to the mall yesterday. So many new stores and so many empty. A kitchen store is now where the Disney store used to be. :sad1: I wandered in to see if they had some wine opener/topper sets. They did. $9.99 until March 2nd. Doug has been looking for one to get for me. I have been looking for one for Rockie. I'm sending him back to get them next week. I was going to look for it at BB&B. I'm sure they would be at least $20 there. So no BB&B.

JCPenney was having some awesome deals already. I saw a lot of stuff under $10. Mostly blouses and sweaters. I ended up at Kohl's. Got a new pair of Avias - $30 and a 70's style long cable-knit sweater with big buttons for $16 - usually $52. Macy's didn't have much of a sale yet. Well let's just say 50% off of their stuff brings it down to regular price everywhere else. I'll bide my time and go back at the end of the month.

And now an update from 'As My Stomach Churns'. I am meeting my soon to be divorced bro for lunch today. I texted my SIL yesterday and told her about the sales. I asked her if she still had the credit cards. My bro made her hand them over yesterday morning. LOL!!! So I hope he talks about it to me a little. I'm thinking it will be worse for him than for her in the long run. Oh well!:confused3

I'm actually going to go upatairs now, at 1:30 AM and sweep and mop my kitchen. It's a wreck with all the foot traffic through the melting snow and dirty garage.

See ya's tamarra!

Here's an easy one for you silly people.

Because Rosie was talking about IQ tests, I wanted to see if I'm smarter than the average bear, so I took one. Then it asked me to send the test to friends and I chose not to so I wouldn't clutter up your boxes. I found out I'm supposedly above average and all I could think was, "Darn! Now no one will know!" :lmao:

Anyway, this is what it said:

You got 25 questions right out of a possible 30.

You took 12 minutes to complete the test.

We estimate your IQ to be: 133... The average person has an IQ of 100 - if you are over 100 then you are above average.
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

You think this will get me a little more respect around town? :p :rotfl:

What does it mean if I tried to load the IQ test application and Failed? LOL!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I guess I'm NOT above average....:confused3

Good morning peeps!

It's a balmy 15 degrees in Michigan this morning. That might sound cold but it's 20 degrees warmer than yesterday morning! :faint: SD is getting ready to head out to the bus.

Gus will be home again, he's pretty stuffed up. Poor kid. And Bob comes home tonight! YAY!!!!

Other than that, I have a Drs appt. this morning and then I'm cleaning the house. Whoopee! I am really looking forward to a regular weekend around here. FINALLY!

Hope everyone had a good sleep!

MEL:banana:
(Doesn't Mo leave today?)

Good morning, maybe. :rotfl2:

I am very tired. Warning, rant ahead:

I like sleep, and I am a good sleeper nearly all the time. My kids, in fact, are pretty good sleepers - unless they are throwing up, they generally stay in bed asleep, even through colds and coughs and so forth. Up until this school year, when we put them to bed, they stayed in bed.

D is a very bad sleeper, if it's not on the couch. He gets stressed and tense and I don't know what. Plus, with his work, we really only sleep in the same room about 5/8 of the time - it's more than half, but barely.

So last night, D falls asleep on the couch whilst we were trying to catch up on CSI. No problem. I turn the show off and turn on the basketball game. He wakes up very grouchy, I offer to rewind CSI and start over, but he thinks he might fall asleep again.

At a little after 11:00, I told him (he woke up with a huge start) that I was going up. He was afraid of being too awake, so he stayed down. I don't know if he slept then or not. I fell sleep around 11:30. At 2:30, he woke me up, coming in and talking a lot to the dog :confused3 :lmao: , then asked if he could read without bothering me. I said OK, half-asleep, but he decided not to, and went back downstairs. I felt a little bad, but did fall back to sleep after a bit.

Maybe an hour later, Woody came in with leg cramps. I got him back to bed, and noticed that there was no D.

When the alarm went off at 6:45, I reluctantly got up, having at this point had less than 7 hours of not-at-all-solid-sleep. D had wound up reading until he fell asleep in the guest room. Woody, when I went to wake him up, started just SCREAMING that "NO! I am NOT getting up, I am NOT going to school."

Fun.

I said that he had to. I keep asking if something is happening at school that makes him not want to go, and he says no, he's just tired - this is ongoing for several weeks. I am just frustrated because he does seem to love school - he comes home happy every day, full of stories, his teacher loves him, etc. And on weekends, of course, he gets up at 6:30 without issue, and usually after going to bed later. :crazy2:

Anyway, I feel bad, of course, that D's having this trouble, and Woody too, but I also feel very resentful, as, since no one was sick, I really could have slept fine and yet it didn't happen. Then if I complain about being tired, D acts like I am being crazy, as he's MUCH more tired. I'm sure he's more tired, but his is his own fault, you know?

So now I'm tired and cranky, and I'm sorry as it's such a small problem in the grand scheme of things, but I needed to vent that out. :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is having a nice morning. I'll go into school in an hour and a half or so, but that's all I've got planned so far for the day.

Happy Friday! ::yes::

Oh CE!

I am sympathetic, though here I'm the one who doesn't sleep well. I usually give it a shot though and if it isn't happening I leave for the couch or guest room.

Not sleeping well will make you a nut. I know. Hopefully it's just a phase with the little one though. Boys have weird sleep issues at around 7-10 yrs old. Don't know why but every friend I've ever asked through the years has confirmed this to me....:confused3

Love you. Hope your Friday gets much better!
MEL

CE, I don't sleep well either. :grouphug: Sometimes when I'm awake at 3.00 in the morning, I want to cry because I'm so frustrated at being awake. I hope the rest of your day is better.

Morning:goodvibes

It's FRIDAY!!!

(I guess it's been one of those weeks for me.)

CE, leg cramps are a big issue at my house. Seems the boys always get them for several nights in a row, and then I look at them and they seem 2 inches taller. A low dose of tylenol usually does the trick. I hope Woody has a better night tonight. Can you catch a nap? I hate broken sleep.

Mel, hope Gus is feeling better soon!

Morning Fockers!

CE-Sorry to hear about the sleep issues. I sleep pretty well and normally both my kids do to. When Lindsey was little she would have night terrors every once in a while but has seemed to grow out of them. DR hasn't had them at all. Plus, Lindsey has been the same way lately with not wanting to get up for school. She's getting used to sleeping in from the 2 hour delays and cancellations and is not wanting to get up at normal time now.

*******************************************

Not much planned for me today. Dropped Linds off at school and DR has preschool in the afternoon. I will probably head to Target and Michael's once I drop him off to pick up stuff for Lindsey's Valentine's party next week. I said I would make sugar cookie cutouts so they can decorate them in class and I want to do a trial run this weekend.

Last thing...I HATE WINTER!!!! Took Linds to school this morning and we still have snow on the ground and under the snow is still the ice. I normally don't take DR with me when I drop her off because of the weather and snow but my dad wasn't up this morning so I had to take DR with me. I was able to carry him out to the car with no problems but that was a different story when we got home. I get him out of the car and start walking up the driveway and slip on a patch of snow with ice under it. He goes down, I go down, my glasses go flying off. I was able to protect him and he's fine but I now have a scraped hand and wrist and a skinned knee. I HATE WINTER!!

Welcome to the Non Sleepers :guilty:

Sorry for all your issues CE

I USED to sleep well but here lately it is just not happening. the worst was going 20 hours with our sleep. Waking up at 2:30 in the morning and NOT being able to go back to sleep.

But it's always me. Scott can most always sleep. :sad2:
I think of all this "STUFF" that needs doing... and then I can't sleep.

Have a HUG

Thank goodness DR was not hurt and you did not break or sprain anything.

Mel- Morning, Mel! I'm glad Bob's coming home today and I hope Gus is feeling better. :goodvibes

CE- I planned on venting about sleep this morning too! :rotfl: I'm with you on being crabby without my good sleep.

Kate- My son wakes up often with leg cramps too. I give him a motrin, rub his leg (usually while he trieds to kick me! :sad2: ) and he's back asleep in about 20 minutes.

Lori- Oh no! I'm glad DR didn't get hurt. I'm sorry you got a little scraped, though. I hate winter too and we don't even get one for the most part. I'm tired of needing the a/c during the day and heat at night. :sad2:

I'm so tired! I've been getting to bed and can't fall alseep, so I just lay there. Normally we're all really great sleepers, but Aiden was up 1.5 hours the night before last with side cramps. That made me tired yesterday, but it didn't help me sleep last night. :confused3 I turned the tv off at 1, then laid there. Then Kirt's stupid alarm went off downstairs at 5:30 and he sleeps through it. (CE- Kirt falls asleep almost every night downstairs and it's impossible to wake him. When he does come to bed he snores me awake, so I don't try too hard, either! ;) ) I had to get up and yell at him several times to wake up. He got up, and reset his alarm for later. Guess who was still laying awake when it went off at 6? Me... Then he came up and showered and banged around. After he finally left I fell alseep. This not sleeping thing is new and I hate it. I don't do well without sleep. :sad1:

Anyway, my day is packed. We have PE, lunch with friends, a trip to the grocery store, volleyball and a playdate. Not to mention I need to do a bunch of chores so I can spend all day and night tomorrow at Baylie's first competition. :faint:

Who's pouring the coffee? :bitelip:

I am very tired. Warning, rant ahead:

 Jimmy has been waking up with leg cramps too. Dr. told us growing pains. Watch in the enxt week or so he will have had a growth spurt ::yes::

Weird day at work. Today is the funeral for my co-worker. I'm not going, I am holding down the fort so to speak. I asked my boss if I could fire anyone while I was in cahrge but he told me no:sad2: He did agree to allow me to transfer people though:thumbsup2 :lmao:
