Good morning! Rosie, glad your staff did well!

Hi, Sam!

Janet - have fun. I did the federal taxes on Wed. but need to wait on the stupid letter from D's work about "how much percentage of take-offs were in Massachusetts" before I do the state. Also, apparently, we get the road tax money back from all gas spent on the boat :thumbsup2 - but that means we have to file in NH (which doesn't have state income tax) to get that back. Hope your guy comes soon. And yes, they have something at church tomorrow, so that's all. But then she wonders why the boys are closer to my mom than to her. Hmmm. I don't mind or feel offended, and I get that she still works, etc., but if you choose to come for only 2 days, don't complain. In two weeks they're going to Mexico for two weeks, so it's not that they don't have the time. And I appreciate wanting to travel elsewhere. But it's a choice.

Sorry, vent over. :rolleyes1

Jo - sounds like a nice day. :goodvibes I feel like I was going to say something else, but I got called to make breakfast and let this post sit for 40 minutes or something. ;)

****************************************
My boots are just little black ankle boots, good traction, something I've not had. I kind of hate my actual snow boots that I use for sledding or snowblowing, and when I go to the grocery or run to the gym, I just wear either my mammoth Crocs or my running shoes. So, this is nice. And they were on a fantastic sale.

It's a balmy 7 here, but no snow. We've just had the big egg/bacon/toast breakfast and we'll head out for b-ball later. I don't know what D, the boys, and I will do after our company goes, and I don't know what we're doing tomorrow. I think it may be way too cold to ski, but I haven't looked at the weather. And, since our own Feb. vacation is coming up, it's probably wise to save some money for the week-long ski tickets.

I'll likely be back later - have a great start to your weekend, my friends! :grouphug:

I got the infamous we will be there between 12 and 4 line:sad2:

I get it. I have to laugh though. Jimmy will talk to my parents on the phone and make a big fuss about when we see them (either here or there) but when he sees Jim's parents he just says hi and moves along.:lmao:

They sound good. I need something like that. I have regular snow boots, which I can't really wear all day and I have a pair of "constuction" boots that are sooo heavy I don't wear them too often. I mostly wear those when I have to go out in the field. Thick soles prevent the needles going through :scared: and the steel toes prtoect the feet:thumbsup2

It's about that here, but we are not suppposed to get any snow:thumbsup2

::yes:: There's an old fishing law - and commercial pilots are the same way - but if you live in one state that doesn't have state income (like NH) and yet work in one that does (like MA) - but you're only going to MA to LEAVE for work, as in on a plane or boat, you don't have to pay MA state tax. But it's a hassle. We used to be told we didn't have to pay at all. Now, it's a percentage of the number of take-offs he does in a year that are out of MA. So, for example, last week, only 50% of his take-offs for that trip were out of MA. The week before, it was something like 20% since they went a bunch of different places. We total it all, then get back the non-MA percent from what's been withheld. Ridiculous.

I get it. I have to laugh though. Jimmy will talk to my parents on the phone and make a big fuss about when we see them (either here or there) but when he sees Jim's parents he just says hi and moves along.:lmao:

Sure. But maybe the difference is that they still don't see my mom routinely - it's just that when she comes, she isn't here for 2 school days and then leaves. ;)

Yikes! Yep, mine are cute but not at that point of fashionable, yet useless. They're a nice mix. I will likely wear them out and about today, for example, which I would never do with my real snow boots. They'll be good for before and after skiing, too - not too bulky to stow and such. :thumbsup2

We're up to 10! :cool1: :rotfl2:

CE your taxes are making my head spin!!!!!!
Hope everyone is having a warmer weekend than me !!! It isn't snowing but it is freezing !!:scared1:

Derby Finals - Jimmy finished second in the Junior Division:cool1: Jim said he is soooo excited. I'm sad I missed it, but Jim videoed so I will watch when they get home.

Satellite guy finally showed at 1:15, then had to leave for about a 1.2 hour becasue the install kit was missing a piece and he had to go meet a nothe rtech to get it:headache: He is still here. All his drilling and stuff is driving poor Tinkerbell crazy:dance3:

Got absolutely NOTHING accompilished today. I have been been watching episodes of Scarecrow and Mrs King:lmao:

Typo, taxes!~:lmao:
I thought it was some kind of weapon for work :rotfl2:

Our family never visits, the IL's are the worst then they moan if we don't visit them when we're the ones that have work and school etc but I know I'd moan if they did visit so shouldn't really complain :rotfl2: Oh and your boots sound nice, I have some black ankle boots that I live in in the winter, they look good with jeans or pants :thumbsup2

Thick soles prevent the needles going through :scared: and the steel toes prtoect the feet:thumbsup2

Fantastic :woohoo:

We've just finished another meal cooked by Jess (with a little help) we had her delicious potato gratin and stuffed chicken wrapped in parma ham with asparagus and baby corn. We then had hot chocolate souffle which was delicious but Jess was the only one who didn't like it :rotfl2:

Tomorrow I need to go to Church, I've only been once since our WDW trip as the girls are no longer in the choir we don't have days where we have to go. But as they go to a Church school I'm feeling guilty that I haven't been so think I'd better, the girls have already said they're not going :rotfl2: Then tomorrow the girls are making my Birthday cake :faint:

Sunny but freezing again today, my cake is in the oven and smelling very nice (the girls made it BTW) and we're deciding whether to go out to eat today or get chinese takeaway for later. Decisions, decisions :rotfl:

If LL happens to drop in - Happy Birthday! :goodvibes

Good morning. We wound up with a nice afternoon/evening. The basketball was cute and fun, and then we had a very late lunch at a localish chain - family friendly, but not TOO cheesy - and then dropped the ILs at the airport.

We came back, hung out, watched the newer Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, then put the kids to bed. D & I got about a week's worth of TV caught up on from the DVR. :thumbsup2

D & the boys are going skiing in the afternoon. I am opting out to hopefully be OK to do tennis tomorrow. I still cough and have some congestion, and late last night my voice was all funny again, but I am better. Still not totally well, but better.

Rosie - glad Kyle had a good party! :goodvibes

Jo - enjoy the cake! What did you decide about dinner?

Janet - awesome picture! As Jo said, did he win the whole shebang?

Happy Birthday,LL. And almost birthday, Jo. :dance3:

My boyfriend comes home today! :cool1:

I was wondering why my Dyson wasn't cleaning too well yesterday, and after watching the presentation on QVC, I found out I'm supposed to clean the filter every 3 months. I've had it almost 2 years. :rolleyes1

+++++++++++++

Afternoon all! Busy morning. I got the laundry started and then left notes for Jim so he could finish up, or at least keep it going. He ran to the grocery store and i have been cleaning Jimmy's room :scared: I have been up there for 1 1/2 hours just putting away andorganizing books. Have to go back up and finish now, but I needed a quick break.

Hope you are all haveing a wonderful day:goodvibes

What are you getting? We'll keep a secret :thumbsup2

Well my cake is made and ummm it's interesting :rotfl2: I'm sure it'll taste delicious though. But because of that we haven't done much today, D and I went for a walk and the girls cleaned up their mess in the kitchen :rotfl2: We decided to just get take out chinese for tea as we couldn't decide on a nice restaurant to go too, it was nice though even though D had a row with the lady!!!! Every time we go there their cc machine strangely won't accept our card and we have to pay cash, now D has suspected that the lady pushes the cancel button as they have to pay the cc company money for us to use the machine and he caught her doing it today. So he told her that she is losing business from us because we often go elsewhere now as their machine never works. She all of a sudden could hardly speak any English :rolleyes1 anyway the other place sells nicer food but is a bit further away and they take longer to cook it but it looks like they'll always get our business in future :thumbsup2

Jimmy in bed and I am going to jump in the shower and head to bed myself. Hope you all had a lovely weekend. To everyone who got snow enjoy it...if you can;)

Back to work and school for us, but nothing else this week. I think this is the first week we haven't had a doctors appointment or an OT appointment for Jimmy since school started. It's going to be nice to have a normal week:thumbsup2

The nail place I used to go to did this. They wanted mt to write a check since they had to pay a cc fee. Um, no. Don't take cc's then. Needless to say I quit going there too. :thumbsup2

I'm glad Mitch is home, but it always throws my schedule off when he is. He needs to get lots done, which he won't get all done today, but he'll think he needs too. We may get Reid from school as he is so excited Uncle Mooch is home. :goodvibes
