Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

Hey Focker,

I'm just stopping by quickly to tell you that things are not good with my DH, Doug.

We still don't know the results from the scan yet, however, today he filed for short-term disability. He can no longer perform his job. I asked him to find out if there is anything else he can do at his plantsite. He is being stubborn. (MEN:headache:) I let him know he is not going to just sit around at home. There are plenty of things that he can still do around here.

I fear the worst, of course. I am pretty sure that the tumor is growing. I am thinking that the doctors are trying to decide which form of treatment to use. That's why there is the delay in getting back with us.

I don't know how soon we will have to go to Indy, prolly next week. I will try to get on here in the next 2 days.

I hope all is well with the rest of you!

Hugs!

Welcome back T and V and you're not going to believe me but during our trip we were complaining that everywhere was heated and too hot :rotfl:

Yay Janet with your eye and CE do something ;) :rotfl:

Everyone is back to normal today although our closest roads are really thick and slushy, people still drive like idiots though :headache: All I've done all day is tidy and clean, the bathrooms didn't know what had hit them :lmao: David just emailed that he's going to be off again tomorrow and in the evening we have Ellie's parent's evening so that works out nicely, he was only going to work till 2 anyway!

Oh, Kristel, I hate to hear this. I hope it's not as bad as you fear. :hug:

Yay Janet with your eye and CE do something ;) :rotfl:

I put the laundry in, does that count? And I did do the bathrooms and found a home for the board games, for now, anyway. ;)

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
The bus came pretty early - the kids are actually ready to go to tennis and we still have 10 minutes. Huh. I'm trying to decide if we should do a little homework, in that case...

Here's lots of these for Kristel & Doug: :hug::grouphug::hug::grouphug::hug::grouphug:

Afternoon all.

I am in the middle of my "I can stay up all day so I can sleep well tonight" day.
Fun. I assure you.

KC and I have been sleeping weird and he had to work today so we decided to stay up as late as possible, nap and then remain awake all day so we can get to sleep at a reasonable hour. So far so good, but I;m getting tired LOL and I have at least 4 hours until KC gets home.

We stayed in yesterday, which was nice. Played DS and watched TV.

I have a few things on my list today, and I may bake something to help me stay awake. We shall see.

Hope everyone's having a good day!

I hope it works! I feel like my nap today probably was a mistake with D gone. Because, you know, I might be able to go to bed earlier tonight with him gone, but now I might not be tired enough to do that. :lmao:

*********************************************************
The kids had fun at tennis and then we did drive-thru dinner since we've not done that in forever and D's out. Buzz is finishing up his homework, and then I think they're going to play some Wii. Easy day! And yet I do feel like I got something done, productivity-wise, since I cleaned the bathrooms and the family room. :thumbsup2

Have fun if you go! :goodvibes
We didn't! Next Tuesday though. :thumbsup2

We're back and so happy to be back in warm temps! :faint: We had a crazy-fun time, but holy crap it was bitter cold! I've never experienced 25* weather.
Glad you had fun inspite of this crazy weather. :thumbsup2

On th eplus side remember that AK is 30 degrees hotter than anywhere else on property;)
Now you remind me! :rotfl2:

Good afternoon all! Had a great check up at the eye doctors. He said all is good and I don't have to go back for 3 months!:woohoo:
Yippee! :banana:

I seriously cannot get warm - I've never felt so cold in my life.
Me too and I hate it. :headache: Glad you had a good time anyway. :goodvibes

Anyway... Hope you have a good one. I'm sure I'll be back - if I'm cleaning, you know how I am! :rotfl:
I'm going to be that way too, whenever I start cleaning. :rolleyes1

:hug::hug::hug::hug:

I don't like being in charge whilst Mitch is gone. :rolleyes: There is a leak in the pool that we got estimates for before he left and now it's up to me to decide and get it fixed. Do we go with the cheaper, by $2200, option, or the one I really want because we have friends that used them and I feel more comfortable using them? The first option has a 10 year warranty and the other is as long as we own the house. That's to resurface the pool, which needs to be done, not just fix the leak. The cheaper, right? :confused3

I don't know, I think I'd probably go with the longer warranty:confused3

Jimmy's OT appointment went well. Came home. Jim had dinner ready:thumbsup2 Breakfast for dinner is always a good option. Now they are working on the Derby car.

Not much planned for the rest of this week -- which is good! We are thinking of going to the zoo on Saturday. It is going to in the mid to high 40's and sunny:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a good evening:goodvibes

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Well as you all said everything was fine with my friend and she showed up this morning. Turns out she has to delay her flight. She was surprised that we were all worried when she didn't show up to class. :rotfl: Which of course is silly as she hasn't missed a single class, not even when she was sick so not showing on the first day of class is a cause for concern. :rotfl:
Glad everythign is ok with your friend Lessa! Now she knows she has good friends who worry about her:goodvibes
Kristel- Im feeling sad for you. You two deserve a break. You've been dealt crap. I'm so very sorry!
Jo- I'm glad things are getting back to normal.
V&T- super glad to hear your trip was fun. I bet it was chilly... But you drank to keepwarm. ;-)
lessa- glad to hear school is off to a nice start.
Angela- if you have the cash, go with your gut!
Hi Janet and ce!
Jimmy's OT appointment went well.
How often does he have to go Janet?
Well you know how things were getting back to normal well we woke up to snow again this morning. We still sent the girls to school but half way there the bus turned round and came home :sad2: Ellie's parents evening is cancelled tonight!
Oh and I just went and did the ironing and something went wrong with my iron as it burnt David's NY Yankees shirt which Em bought him and it was on the same setting I always use, it then stopped working completely so looks like I need to buy one which means I can't do the ironing today :thumbsup2:rotfl2: So Jess and I sat and watched Dirty Dancing, it was the first time I'd let her watch it and she thought it was good but I can remember seeing it when it just came out when I was only a bit older than her and fell in love with it :confused3 maybe it's because it was so different then :confused:
Heck, I own it because I love it so much. Maybe it is the times...
*******************************************************
Not much going on this morning. I have to pick the boys up early from school today as they have dental appointments, but other than that, nothing... I've already got dinner in the crock pot. :thumbsup2
I'll be around off and on - I don't have to go get the boys until 1:30. Have a great morning, Fockers! :grouphug:
Getting to work to today was pure heck! There was an accident on the expressway (overturned dumptruck) which was pushing all the traffic on the route that I ususally take:headache: But, I am here. My desk looks like a paper tornado hit it:mad:
I will check in later. Hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day!
