well, I started the Avelox and the cough syrup...and the breathing treatments...and I still feel like crap. :sad2: On the good side tho, BA had a great surgery follow-up appt(at the doctor's office!)---that must really confuse Jo!:lmao: She is healing well, and will get to take a bath soon---she hates showers--has her own whirlpool bath in her room and does that every day!:rolleyes:

I'm sorry for you, but glad for BA! :hug:

Happy Thanksgiving, Fockers!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

And to you both as well (Lessa, hope your Thursday is going well. ;))

*******************************************************
JO???? I'm here, where are you? :rotfl:

One of the many things that I'm grateful for is that we don't eat the big meal until 5:00. :lmao: I didn't get up until 9:00 and I've not even thought about cooking yet. I will start the potatoes soon (I only managed the cranberries last night.)

Happiest of days to all of you - I am very, very grateful for my wonderful Focker Friends. :goodvibes

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
darthturkey.jpg

Sorry, this one just made me:lmao:

:lmao: I saw that on Photobucket this morning and laughed at it too.

I may have designed our holiday cards - we usually do a Christmas photo in front of the tree (which I have no idea when we'll get), but I found a multi-photo design where I incorporated several summer pictures, and though it's not seasonal, I think it looks good. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I already ordered ours and they came yesterday. I normally have a holiday pic of the kids on ours but I got a really good one of them around Halloween at the pumpkin patch. I was able to crop it so you couldn't see the pumpkins and I thouhgt it turned out really well.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING FOCKERS!

No plans as of right now. I have the parade on in the background and just relaxing. I need to get ready soon to head to my grandma's for dinner. We'll be there pretty much the rest of the day stuffing ourselves silly. I'll miss having the kiddos though. Hopefully my cousin will be there with his kids and I can soak up some time with them. :)

Oh shoot, I was going to ask if you got it for the Flyers games:lmao: Seriously I know what you mean. We sat in a box for Disney on Ice 2 years ago. I LOVED it!

We did! And I could have gotten tickets for you! Bummer, I really miss that box. :sad2:

:sad2: My hairdressers daughter went into labor and cancelled my appointment!

Geeze, where are her priorities! :rotfl2: Seriously though, what an exciting Thanksgiving present for her!

Where are you going?

We go to Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island. My boss has a beach house (right on the beach!) there and he doesn't like the beach :rotfl2::rotfl2:. He lets us use it whenever we want in the off-season. He rents it out in the summer. Nice guy! :thumbsup2

I need lots of Hugs !! Te problems at work from theweekend have gotten worse !! I have amajor headache a haveto go back in shortly and who knows when I will get out!!!!If this ruins Thanksgivng for us I am gonna be ******d !!! Then there's BF that could get ruined too!!!!

:hug::hug::hug: I hope everything works out!

Can we see photos when it's complete please?

Absolutely! I am really happy with how it turned out!

Ellie is off again, she can hardly talk, was coughing lots during the night and basically looks like death warmed up I had to leave her for a little while though, my first time as I had a hearing test. Well I get there and the nurse had booked me into the surgery where they don't have the equipment :sad2: so no test for me today! I then went to the supermarket to get a few bits and about $100 I come outThere wasn't even any food for meals in that

Poor Ellie, hope she recovers quickly! Bummer about the waste of time at the doctors :mad: I know what you mean about the supermarket! I did that Saturday, spent $114 and DH said "did you get meals for the week?" Uh, nope! (This is why I generally do not do the weekly shopping!)
Hope you all get everything done today :goodvibes

Anyway, I'm working all week so it's been busy. Unfortunately the ER doesn't close for the holidays. I'm thinking of applying for a supervisor position in another department, but not sure. It would sure be nice, but supervisor's in our hospital have to put up with so much required crap it's ridiculous.

Good luck! There's always some part of a job that is a pain in the neck. You have to decide if the good outweighs the bad!

Thanksgiving will be sooooo fun this year. :sad2: I feel like I'm in an episode of Brother's and Sisters minus all the Brother's and Sisters.

I sure hope it turns out better than you think!

:
I'm still sick--worse actually---tried to sleep in the recliner but I still coughed all nite long. To the doctors today---unfortunately the only time my doctor had was the same time as BAs surgeon appt so Daran will take her.

Yuck! Get better soon!:hug:

No we call the building where the Dr's are a surgery, my Dr's have 3 surgeries and the hearing test stuff was in a different one. If we go for an operation then it's at the hospital in the operating theatre :thumbsup2 Hope you feel better soon :hug:

It's that "English" English, you know!:rotfl::rotfl:

I have to wait in all morning for a delivery, Dad is buying us an outdoor table tennis table as our family pressie, shhh though as the girls don't know. I used to play for the county/state when I was younger and David played too. We get very competitive I've just ordered D a bat as part of his Christmas pressie from me because I'm really struggling :rotfl2:

Sounds fun! I love table tennis! There's actually one here at the beach house in the garage. I'll have to see if I can get someone to play with me!:rolleyes:

We had a lot of fun at tennis and now D's off to go do some work at the quiet library or whatever. We think we're going to try to hit Indian food for dinner after the boys have their tennis lesson. :thumbsup2

Yum! We went out for Indian buffet for lunch last Friday -it was awesome!:thumbsup2

-------------------

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We're just hanging around waiting until it's time to head out to my Mom's for the big meal. Weather's kind of carpy still. It spit rain all day yesterday and it was foggy, so the drive to the shore was a little slow, and it's still a bit overcast but at least not cold. We got here later than planned last night (isn't that always the way!) Yesterday was so busy at work, I never even got to check in here (but I did get to do a really quick Christmas shopping spree on Amazon (one click is awesome!) in the 5 minutes before I left work :rotfl::rotfl:

We'll go out tomorrow (NOT at the crack of dawn however) for some Black Friday shopping and then our friends are coming down for the rest of the weekend.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Gobble Gobble!

Welltoday didn't strat off well , but we did finaly get the consumer calmd down ( drugs do wonders ):rotfl2: I got the okay to staff extra and so far I have been able to do all I had planned !!!:banana:2 pies are made and baked ready for tomorrow and I got the cauliflower and icecream so we are all set !!!Thanks for the hugs:hug:
I'm so pleased it turned out fine :goodvibes

I was bored, bored, bored, and my FB app quit. :headache: :rotfl:
Oh CE :rotfl2:

Oh, you mean a paddle;)
Errr nope a bat :upsidedow

Every one is due to arrive around 2:00 and dinner will be served prompltly at 4:00, even if the MIL and FIL aren'te here on time;)
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Have a great day Janet!

Well, that's a new one.......

we call the place where you see the doctor a "doctor's office" :teacher:
If you are going for surgery at the doctor's office, you probably have a HMO.:thumbsup2
OK what's an HMO?

And you are gonna put a ping pong table outside? we have one in the garage--kitty is enjoying it mainly.:rolleyes: (I'm going out on a limb that ping pong paddles=table tennis bats ????)
Yep our garage isn't wide enough, it is an outside table though :thumbsup2

Glad BA's appointment went well and that you're getting better!

JO???? I'm here, where are you? :rotfl:
I'm here now, don't disappear :rotfl2:

I've been wrapping pressies most the morning, I'm a bit heavy in Jessica's favour so need to even it up a bit. Their stockings don't look that big but they've got more than 20 gifts each it's just as they get older the pressies get smaller :rotfl2:

Remember I'm away from December 12th to 23rd so I need to be prepared :rotfl2:

Looks like I keep missing CE :rotfl2:

Ellie made soup at school today, she is warming it up on the stove and about 1/4 of it landed on the actually stove top rather than the saucepan :sad2: It looks like she made enough to feed an army too :eek::rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 Sounds like it would be fun! I have a cousin that lives in NJ and she has gone a few times. I'm hoping once the kids get a little older to maybe spend the holiday with her and take them.

Lindsey is a New Year's Eve baby and I've always told her that when she get's older that we would spend her birthday in Times Square one day.

Sounds like a nice day. Have you talked to the kids yet since they left?

I have. I usually call in the evenings to tell them good night.

On the first night I called to say good night and I asked Linds if she had her PJ's on and ready for bed. She said yes and I told her 'Let me guess you have your blue Tinkerbell nightgown on.' The child LOVES this thing and it's the first she always puts on after it's washed. Anyways she was like how did you know? I told her that I just knew my daughter and that is what she would have one. She then asked me, 'Well, do you know what kind of underwear I have on?' :rotfl:

I don't know if I should call early today or just wait until later. They are supposedly going to our friend's house for Thanksgiving but I'm not sure on the time. I'll probably call in the evening though.

Here's my dirty little secret. I hate calling my mom on any holiday when she has the dinner, as they pass the phone to EVERYONE there, and yet you can't hear any of them and the conversation is always "How are you? We miss you! Do you want to talk to anyone else?" :rotfl2:

My cousin is having the lunch this time - they're eating at 1:00 there, I think, so not quite yet - so I may just call my parents later, once they're back home. :rolleyes1 The same thing happens with D's mom, but I make him call, so...:rotfl:

All right. I'm off to shower. We need to leave in about an hour. I hope you all continue to have a good day - and evening, Jo! :goodvibes

HAPPY THANKSGIVING FOCKERS

Up at 6:30 and at the parade by 8:00am. Kids had a ball. Jimmy's friend PJ and his mom were going to spend the day by themselves, so I invited them to dinner. We are now 12 people, still not too bad.

Turkey is in the oven. Everything else is prepped and ready to go. People should be here in about an hour.

Hope you all have a wonderful day:hug:

Just checking in again .:yay:The day has gone well so far !!:woohoo::woohoo: Only a couple of calls and they were minor things

Supper is almost ready !! So Life is Good !!:wizard:

Hello there you wild people you!

I was packing up to leave for Disney on Saturday and tucked in my Focker lanyard and was thinking of you all.

Hope at least some of you will be there to enjoy the lights and sights.

I'm home and stuffed with way too much turkey, pumpkin pie and wine. I had a good time though spending the day with family. I didn't even bother to take pictures. :eek: We're have the family over on Sunday night for 'Light Up Night' so I'll get some then. Plus, my kiddos will be home and that'll make me a little more thankful. :)

I still haven't talked to the kids yet today. :( The ex apparently had them call from our friend's house but I wasn't home. I tried calling a little bit ago and he was on the way back to the hotel and the kids were sleeping. I just told him to call me when they got back there. Lindsey did leave a message and said Happy Thanksgiving but sounded sad. Who knows? :confused3 I just miss the little boogers. :(

That's it for me. I'm sure I'll check back in before I head to bed, but for now I'm heading for the couch to watch some DVR'd Christmas shows or some CSI. I live me some Nick Stokes! ;)

Happy turkey day all!!

We have had a very mellow day of eating and tv watching and sleeping. Last night kc got very drunk at the concert we went to and it was a long night getting him home. We are prob headed home soon so we can vege out all night and tomorrow.

Anyways. Hope you all had lots of yummy food!

Well it looks like Jo was kept company after all...see Jo, Hakuna Matata. ;)

Good luck! There's always some part of a job that is a pain in the neck. You have to decide if the good outweighs the bad!

True, I'm gonna just go for it and apply on monday.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi all! I hope ya'll had a great Turkey day!
Mine actually went fine, no drama. I was thankful for that. :angel:
Got a phone call from my dad in Puerto Rico. He had heard about the big falling out between my mother & bro and I finally found someone (other than my friends) who sided w/ me!!! Yay!! Then he told me his wife's mom was doing really bad and may not make it through the year. :sad1: It's gonna be a rough end of year for her. I gave her a call and she didn't sound well and that just made me sad, but unfortunately there's nothing anyone can do.
Anyway, I planned my shopping strategy at work this morning. Got my stuff hidden (hopefully it's still there) and headed to an electronics store called CompUSA for some techy stuff I've been wanting since last year.
That's all from me.
:hippie:
I hate that type of calls too and when I'm on the other end I never know what to say :rotfl2:
::yes:: Exactly. It's just silly. I called them on the way home from our friends, and that was much better. We actually conversed. :lmao:
Well, I had a better time than I was anticipating. The wife of the other couple (whom again, I really like, but we only know because they know our friends) was feeling good (she's fought breast cancer for years, but is finally clear - and she's only 41...) and so she and I drank wine and giggled, and the men did ALL the work. :thumbsup2
I still missed my friend, but... It wasn't bad! Dinner was great, and the kids had a blast. We even took the dog, as they were watching her mom's dog whilst she was gone and the other couple brought their dog, too. Fun for all! :rotfl:
I hope you all had a great day! :grouphug:
