Hello from POFQ!

What a trip,I am def doing a report when we get back....what stories I have.

We are in the room organizing all the carp we got at cast connection this morning and then getting ready for dinner tonight @ narcoossee's. I am so excited.

Hope everyone is great and can fill me in on anything happening w u guys!

:wave: Hi Fockers!

Phew...it's been a busy past couple of days for us! You'd think with Lindsey being sick I'd get some rest, but nope.

I did go back and re-read things and loved all the pics of the kiddos in costumes, they all looked great! :thumbsup2 Sorry I didn't quote though.

Lindsey was home sick yesterday. She had a high fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose and she was throwing up. I thought she had chicken pox but nope, I think it was just broken capilaries from throwing up so hard. Poor girl. :( She's feeling a lot better today though. I kept her home from shcool just as a precaution. Just about got persecuted from the school for it. :sad2: They tell us not to send the kids to school if they are sick and have to wait the whole 24 hours for the fever thing, but then complain and act like it's this horrible thing when I follow those directions. :rolleyes: I'm betting it has to do with the whole strike thing. I didn't think the teachers were going to but it sure is looking like it. :(

Not much else is going on. Just got back from grocery shopping and have dinner in the oven. I need to work on some homework tonight and then watch some TV.

Hope everyone had a good day! :goodvibes

Lindsey wanted to add some 'stickers' (that's what she called them LOL and then got upset when they weren't showing up).
:yay::dance3::cloud9::laughing::surfweb::cutie::lovestruc:cheer2::littleangel:princess::dancer::dancer::shamrock::tinker::dog2:

Oh--sorry Lindsey is sick--sounds like a nasty virus. Has she had her Chicken pox vaccine? I haven't known anyone around here to get that-but they are giving the kids a booster when they go into 6th.

CE---Couldn't remember if you read Evanovich or not---every time I hear about the cable company, I think of Lula and Grandma....and the crazy guy blowing up squirrels! :lmao: janet really needs to read these---I wanna know if all NJ girls are like Stephanie!

+++++

Little Boots got neutered today and is doing well. :thumbsup2 He keeps licking his missing parts tho---well, actually, I'm not SURE they are missing, they look smaller....no stitches....anyone know what they do??
He's happy to be home eating tho.:goodvibes And I'm happy to have him back.

Ab took BA to cheerleading just now----NOT that I didn't wanna go :flower3:---but she volunteered...so there!:rolleyes:

<<SCREAMING TO POFQ>> HI KAT!! MISS YOU! WHAT'S FOR DINNER TONIGHT?

Here's what they do... They get a rope and make a good lasso and throw it down the kitty's throat. Once it's hooked on their manly junk, they yank real hard. No stitches needed...

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So, sorry I've been a bit MIA. We had a long weekend with Kirt. We're just running 90 to nothing with all of our appointments, I swear.
I'm at the chiropractor 3x a week, and Baylie goes once a week. Then she's at PT 2x a week. That's on top of all the other stuff we do. So, I haven't had time to post long updates or anything. Forgive me? :flower3:

Hello People!!!!

Hey guys! Don't think I have checked in here in nearly two weeks!

Things are still going well up here. Only a month and a bit left of the semester, time is just flying by!

I was in the school library today studying and this woman sat down at the desk next to mine and then started coughing and hacking up a storm. It was the nastiest phlegmy sounding cough I had ever heard. I was cringing thinking of all the germs that she was spreading. Hopefully none of them spread to me! :scared1: It annoyed me as well as the school has clearly stated given the current state of affairs that if you are sick to stay home and they will work with you to make sure that you do not miss anything and that there are no penalties for a missed test/assignment. They are being incredibly accommodating yet people are still coming to the college and spreading their germs when they are clearly ill! My program of 75 people has 16 out sick right now! :scared1:
We've missed you. That coughing is disgusting. I would have to move and quickly!

Evening all !!
Have to share a Funny!!!!

Tonite I had to take a consumer to Value Hardware Store .... He HAD to have a Glass Cutter tonite .... Cuz he needed it to fix broken windows when he gets married !! Right you think He must have plans NO not even a girlfriend !!!! Gotta Love them !! Their thinking is so uncomplicated !!!!

Of course Rosie had her share of Drama tonite too !! We set the Fire Alarm off while cooking Steaks. Soo had to evacuate 10people 4 of who are in wheelchairs and the NEW policy is unless it's a planned DRILL the Fire company has to come to turn off the Alarm !! We had some p......d off consumers sitting outside in the rain!!! Evil Staff we are !!!!
Hey I give that consumer big points for being pro-active in his future planning. I think I would have been a tad upset too if I had to sit in the rain. It is funny about how you triggered the alarm. I've done that with the home alarm before.:rotfl2:

Morning! I'm still getting caught up, but there's some progress. :thumbsup2 Last night, I had no hot water. It was the last straw - I FREAKED out. Took a Xanax and cried myself to sleep, then woke around 5am thinking "Check the circuit breaker." Sure enough, something tripped the hot water tank's circuit breaker.

I made the very grown-up decision to cancel Leo's and my riding lessons for a while. Still no child support coming and I can't continue to run a deficit.

Who knows when I'll get to an actual TR update on the weekend, so here's my Halloween pic:

4068598221_588011750c.jpg
You are one smart cookie to think of the breaker switch! Cheap and easy fix. I am sorry that it got you so upset.:hug: I love Leo's picture. Frame that baby! Adorable! It's too bad Leo's dad can't understand what happens when he doesn't own up to his responsibilities. Leo loves riding so much. Let's all give him the fickle focker finger award! And I don't mean the 2 fingered "I'm watchin' you" symbol!!!!

The girls went off to the pool only to return about 20 mins later, the fitness pool was open but the fun one was shut They didn't want to swim laps so came home. We've also had the hardest rain ever, the garage roof even leaked. I did notice the gutter was blocked so after it finished had a look and there was a tennis ball stuck in it so hopefully that's what caused the leak and it's now fixed.
:rotfl2: It's good you found that! You just gave me something to do tomorrow. Clean my gutters.

TE This all came about because 2 residents died in a fire !! The State has as usual gone overboard with precautions !!! Whilst someI can see .if ya know what caused the alarm to go off and KNOW nothing is on fire ,it just seems sooo unfair to make them sit outside !!

WellI got my runningaround done and then for some ridiculous reason decided to thoroughly clean the kitchen!! Let's say it isWELL disinfected !!!

My doctor visit went well !! Bloodwork was good except cholestrol high but my GOOD cholestrol was very good so Doc wants me totake baby aspirin and fish oil. YUK!!!!!!!

I went for a chest Xray and asked for a copy when it was done meaning the report as I can't have a PPD due to having BCG shot in England!! So for work I need a chest Xray!! The sweet Tech asked me to wait and then gave me a copy of the Xrays. I didn't have the heart to tell him that's not what I needed !! But I told my boss to brush upon her Xray reaidng skills !! She of course thinks this confirms that I am CRAZY!!!!

No one is posting on my TR.
Sounds like you had a productive personal day. It's good to know you are a healthy woman too. Just get that bad chol. down.
I just found the link to the TR. I promise to get it read tonight!!!!
Any one else that did not know where it is, here's the link: Rosie Returns

Off in a few minutes to the dentist to get my crown put on. Think I'll stop at Jo-anns on the way , then vote on my way home from the dentist.

With all the technology problems we've been having another cropped up on sunday. DD Ariel tried to call from her 6-month old fancy cell phone on Sunday and I couldn't hear her, she could hear me but no one could hear her. Everything else seemed to work fine, so I figured she just hit some kind of button that muted her sound. So, when she got home I sent her to Radio Shack where we bought the phone and they said the microphone on it went. I'm thinking great, how much is THIS going to cost me now. They sent her to the Sprint store in the mall, they said she'd have to go to a Sprint repair shop . So, finally on Monday, she gets to a Sprint repair shop and....they just gave her a new phone - and it didn't cost me anything! Whew! For once, I caught a break! (Now I've probably just jinxed myself.....)

Have a good Tuesday everyone!
:thumbsup2 on the phone!!!!

They just remove the testes and 'super surgical" glue it back up. Make sure he doesn't open up the wound. It can get infected. He basically has empty bags. :lmao: Where Cel Bel when you need her. She could give you the specifics if you wanted them.

See ya' tomorrow!

Jo - Was Ce over there playng tennis and you didn't know it?:confused3:lmao:

TE - Why are you yelling, is your hearing aid not working again;)

Rosie - I understand about the fire dept and everything, you don't want to take any chances:hug:

Dawn - Um, No offense, but I think I may avoid Texas for a while:eek::rotfl2: How are you and B feeling? And do I want to know you have poop in your fridge:confused3:scared1:

Kristel - Looks like a cool place to have dinner and at least you get a smile from Doug. Jim didn't even smile in most of our wedding pics:sad2:

Evening all! Well, SEPTA (our public transit) went on strike today. At 3AM:mad: Everyone was scrambling to get where they needed to go. I drive towork so it wasn't an issue for me, but people weren't able to make arrangements to get to work (becasue they weren't on strike when we went to bed last night!). Luckily the job is going to let us flex our hours during this strike. Basically work 8 hours from the time you arrive. I am going to try and work 7:30 to 3:30. Also, the city.courts are providing shuttle busses for employees so we spoent most of the day coordinating those for the employees.

Now, don't get me wrong, I belong to a union. I think they are good for certain things (most of the time I hate mine though:rolleyes:) anyway this one really ticks me off. They were offered a contract that is PHENOMENAL and they walked. They were offered 5 years (unheard of in this day and age),11.5% salary increases (@ 2%/year) no change in health benefit contribution and no change in pension. And they can't understand whypeople are so upset and not backing them (this is a union town). Dopes:mad:

I miss chatting with you all everyda. I hope that things will slow down once I get the hang of the new responsibilites. I have to relearn everything. I forget most of it, as I was really just starting to catch on when I went out.

Hope everyone is good. Miss you all:hug:

Can you taking the stuff to be stapled with you to do while they are at tennis?

I could have, but I needed to work off some of this ton of candy I've been eating. I hit the elliptical. ;)

Hi Kat!! Sounds like you had a great trip! Wish I could've met up with you! :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey guys just catching up a little.
I see some are getting ready for trips in December. My mom was asking me what I wanted for Christmas the other day and I told her a trip to Disney with the family :goodvibes. Of course she just rolled her eyes at me and didn't answer. :confused3
Anyway, not much from me, loved all the Halloween pics though! :thumbsup2
If you guys want a GOOD laugh go to Jordans Peep thread and read Winkers Bulletin Bloopers !! WARNING do not have anything in your mouth when reading!!!
Nope, she's never had the chicken pox and she did get the booster for it. From the things I've heard and read that if she were to get them they wouldn't be as bad. Who knows, I know the day will be coming though.
I love those books! I must not have gotten to the cable one yet though. I read some over the summer when I had more time. I can't wait until Christmas break when I have the time and can read more.
:hug: When is the book fair?
*************************************************
Let's see...not much went on in our house for the night. Linds is definitely feeling better and will be in school tomorrow. I have a parent/teacher conference with her teacher in the evening. I can hear it already...Lindsey is a really good student but she just talks too much and needs to follow directions better. What can I say...it's a skill she has not mastered yet and I have no clue on what to do? :confused3 Mine in school was I never checked my work over (heck, still don't to this day) so we all have our little quirks.
I also hope to find out more about the teacher strike that is pending here in our school district. I know a Lindsey's teacher is a HUGE advocate for this so I'm hoping to get some info from her regarding this. I really don't know what to do as I have never been in the situation before with my kids.
Well, that's about it for me. Hope y'all have a good night and if I don't get on here tomorrow...Have a good hump day everyone!:goodvibes
That would be terrible, but I certainly understand the teachers point of view. :hug:
Yesterday I had Reid so we went to the Science Center which he loves. There are turtles and alligators as well as a mock up of how orange juice is made. Lots of fun for kids. He didn't nap well at all, shocker!, and may have had a bad dream because he woke up crying for momma and I had quite a hard time consoling him. Then he was in a whiny mood because he didn't sleep long enough. Good thing my sister came home early. ;) He still makes me laugh and I love being with him though. :goodvibes
Good luck with the conference and finding out stuff. :hug:
The book fair is next week. Friday, after school for an hour, we have a teacher preview where they can set up wish lists and so on.
I'm glad you had fun, even with the issues. Poor kiddo - poor Auntie Angela. :hug:
***************************************************
D & I have worked out a Cable Guy plan. :rotfl: He's going to head to the gym as soon as he's back from walking the dog (he puts the kids on the bus, then continues on with the dog when he's home, which is nice.)
Then, he'll come back and work from home during the cable time, whilst I take the dog to the vet. If I get back and someone still needs to be here, I can then take over.
D has a meeting down even further south and west in MA this evening, so he's thankfully not wanting to go to work too early this morning. ;)
I need to run the stapled things into school after the cable guy comes (if he does) and really quickly head to Target - I've got prescription refills waiting and that I have to have today.
So, it should be a sort of hectic, sort of "hurry up and wait" kind of day. We'll see.
The new "sessions" at the gym started this week, so the boys don't have yoga tonight. We're on the waitlist, but I imagine that we wouldn't get called until a few people don't show up at least 2 weeks in a row. ;)
I could have, but I needed to work off some of this ton of candy I've been eating. I hit the elliptical. ;)
Good girl:thumbsup2
Good morning. Just a quick check in before things get crazy. Forgot to tell you all that yesterday was my dad's 80th Birthday:woohoo:.
Jimmy started the research for his Science Fair Project. He is doing Sharks.
Traffic horrible since EVERYONE is driving with the bus strike. Took me over an hour to get to work today, usually takes me about 25 minutes:sad2: Doesn't look like it is going to end anytime soon.
Hope everyone has a great day. Will try to check in at lunch time.
Janet--Happy Birthday to your Dad!
Sorry about the strike---sounds stupid...particularly in this economy. They need to be without a job and benefits for a while like many people and see how lucky they are. We don't have any public transportation but then we don't have any traffic.:rolleyes: I don't think that public workers like that should be allowed to strike...but then again, I think the time for that has past period.
Home with a sick Abby--croupy cough, chills, headache...:confused3
Let's all give him the fickle focker finger award! And I don't mean the 2 fingered "I'm watchin' you" symbol!!!!
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::thumbsup2 Thanks for that - I needed it! :hug:
OMG, we'd kill for that! I've got an exciting 2 years with no pay increases and many health insurance increases to look forward to. :headache:
Forgot to tell you all that yesterday was my dad's 80th Birthday:woohoo:.
Awww, happy birthday Janet's dad! :cheer2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning. Things are blah here; I'm STILL trying to figure out my meds situation and it's not going well... it seems if I take thyroid meds, it raises my blood pressure to dangerous levels. If I don't take the thyroid meds, my Dr. is unhappy. I believe she'll just have to live with some unhappiness. :rolleyes:
