Wow...quiet day!

At the beginning of the month I was basically told, "It's not about you personally, but we're just not hiring any new subs, we have enough on the list," which bummed me out. But apparently now the list isn't looking so long. I can't do high school because the hours don't work with my kids, but I guess ours had 30 teachers out yesterday.

30 teachers out! Glad it's looking up for you though and hope some sub jobs come your way soon.

Almost there! And, as I said above, the forecast is bringing the heat to the weekend - my poor little cowboy's gonna fry in his MNSSHP costume, but Pool:30 is looking goo-ood!

Like I told ya on FB, I really like the new color! Can't wait to see what it will look like when your done with it all. I like the cut too.

I'm home with a sick kid today. I'm not feeling so well and neither is K. It's an allergy/sinus thing, I think. A's actually doing the best of all three of us. I'm sure he'll be back at school tomorrow.

I took B to the chiropractor yesterday and she was told to stay off her feet as much as possible. She's not supposed to dance.

In fact, I should go start calling around about physical therapy for her. I'll be back...

I'm off for the afternoon - going to see a lecture by a "Ghost Hunter" at a local college - spoooooky!

Sounds fun! My kids like watching the Ghost Hunters on TV and they were obsessed with them for a while. I'm glad they have moved from that phase. LOL

annoying day yesterday--Ab hit a car in the Walmart parking lot...
right in front of the doors....lady turns right sharply and bam...Ab hits her bumper....scratched the other car's bumper (which of course was a Cadiallac Escalade).......did some fender damage to Ab's van..which we wouldn't even have got an estimate on if the insurance wasn't involved--and with a $1000 deductible on a car with 147K miles...probably won't happen!

So....sigh....remember when I said my insurance doubled 2 weeks ago when she got her license?? Wonder what will happen now.....

Oh man! That stinks! Hope you had fun at the game!

Ear Docotor went well, sort of. The MRI was clear I still feel like my one ear is clogged I have to go back in five weeks for another hearing test. That's all I got!

Glad to hear the MRI went well.

I napped for a bit this afternoon and the headache seems to be gone.

Buzz came home crying because he had such a bad headache. He didn't tell anyone at school. I don't know why not. Poor kid. I gave him some Motrin and he went up to bed, slept for about an hour and half, and came back down in time for homework and dinner, thankfully. No fever.

Glad you were able to get a nap in and the headache is gone. Poor Buzz and his head though.

We had a busy day today! DR had his Halloween party at school this afternoon and it seems that he had a good time. Not a ton of candy this year which is a good thing. He had to stay late for daycare today because my class runs late and I guess a little kid had pulled the fire alarm. Must has scared the crap out of some of the kids, and DR, because it looked like he had been crying when I got there.

I had my Medical Assisting class and lab today. The instructor I have in lab was telling us about this one student she has in another class and how he has been folllowing her around and making sexual passes at her. She told us about him at the beginning of the quarter but I guess it has gotten worse. It's really creepy and she was trying to stress to all of us just to be careful.

After lab I stopped at the mall and Toys 'R Us and picked up a baby gift. I swear it was all so cute! Picked the kids up from daycare, ate a quick dinner and then headed over to my friend's house for trick-or-treating and to see the baby. OMG! She was adorable and so little! You forget how small they start off! I have a few pics that I'll put up on FB if you want to see.

We left there and then stopped at Walmart for a few things. I found this really cute gingerbread-like (it says it's choclately) Halloween thing for the kids and I to do tomorrow or Saturday.

We're now home, the kids are in bed, and I'm about to go study for a test I have tomorrow morning.

I forgot about this part and now it's just bugging me ...

I found this a little odd and don't know what to think about it. But, the friend (J) I went to visit I have known since middle school. We went to the same school, same church, lived on the same street, hung out, etc. I know her mom and her family really well. J and her sister both were in my wedding and I was just in hers a few summers ago. They of course know my ex-h and were friends with him as well. They have him as a friend on FB, which is fine with me, but I don't have my ex as a friend and prefer it that way.

Anyways, I was talking with J's mom and she asked me if ex-h would be seeing/getting the kids soon. I told her no, he won't be seeing/getting them until Thanksgiving. She goes 'Oh well, he has on his FB status that he'll be getting to see his kids in 4 days.' I kind of gave her this look and was like, unless he has e-mailed me or called me while I've been here, or he has another set of kids that I don't know about, then I have no clue what he is talking about. She was then like, Oh...well I guess I'm just giving you a heads up then and he could possibly be here in town to see the kids.

Ummm...gee thanks, I guess?!?! This is why I prefer not having my ex as a friend on anything because seriously I don't want to know his business or anything of what he does. I don't care that he comes to see the kids and takes them off my hands. I'm not really that into surprises when it comes to stuff like this, but whatever, it's his life and he can do whatever. But to hear it second hand isn't all the thrilling either.

Lori, glad you had a good day, but I hope your instructor has filed a complaint with the school and also possibly the police. That's nothing to take lightly. Dr. Belle had a boyfriend who was actually one of my high school friends as well, once she got to graduate school. When she broke it off, he first locked her in his apartment to try not to let her leave, then followed her everywhere on campus and so forth. She had to get the police involved. And their moms work together - that was awkward. But truly, she was scared, and this guy sounds pretty bad. I'd rather be thought of as a witch than have something happen, you know?

I'm sorry about the ex and FB, too. My mom laughs at me that I know what some of her friends are doing before she does, because I am on FB a ton more than she is, but I can imagine it would be unsettling with an ex. The only thing I wonder is if he said 4 weeks, which is, in fact, T-day, and she read it as 4 days.

Rosie, I hope you have a good short day tomorrow!

I need to head to bed. We'll have lots to do in the morning - the kids take their costumes, rather than wear them, to school, but they have to get dressed by themselves. Buzz will need his Harry Potter tie pre-tied and I may just have to drive Woody's costume in, as I don't see how it would get on the bus. Plus we have to make sure the normal stuff gets in with all the excitement, and I'm sending in party items as well.

I don't know what else we have going on. D had mentioned trying to take the tennis class he took last week again. I'm going to see what I feel like when I wake up, as it's the cardio tennis that is a total running hour and not much to do with learning tennis. Great workout - wouldn't be good if I feel like I did this morning.

All right. I'm off to take the dog out and I'll 'see' you in the morning! Have a good sleep!

Yeah, I just love hearing stuff about people I don't want to know about. I'm thinking CE may be right. J might have read it wrong.

CE had to get dryer duct to make a more ‘authentic’ robot costume. Poor Buzz came home with a headache.
I hope D got the costume done without too much trouble. Is there somewhere we can all go that has some sort of vacuum for headaches? We are all suffering right now.

I have a request.
If you take pictures of you kids all dressed up, post them! I'll be working on Halloween. I'd love to see some costumes. That is one thing about living in the boonies too. I don't get any Trick or Treaters.

We went to IU Medical yesterday.
Doug has some swelling of the brain from the radiation treatment. They said that it is common. He is on steroids now. We have to watch for side effects from those. Plus if his hand/fingers get worse, they want to know. At least it does seem to be a temporary condition. The good thing is, unlike the rest of us, he has had no headaches.

I work the next 3 nights. I'll try to keep up!

I stayed in bed till almost 11 and have just eaten a few cookies, plain ones, and sipped some drink to try and feel better!!! I don't like it as I don't get ill

The instructor is in the process of filing a report and trying to get more people to do so. He's even made passes at other teachers and even offered one $100 if she would 'do something' for him. She was telling us so we know what was going on and then to see if any of us had him in any of our other classes, plus if any of our other friends had him in their classes. She suggested that if we did to go file a report and once they have enough on this guy (which I think they do) they will kick him out of school. This guy is in his 40's and his married. I guess he's even made comments on how he wants to kill his wife. So, yeah it's pretty scary once you hear all of this.

I thought about it last night and I think she did either read it wrong or that it may have been an older status. I never did come up with 4 weeks until the T-day though. And that does sound a little better and more likely. I thought maybe she read it as 'kids' and he might have said 'baby' or something else in referring to a girlfriend or I know I was having problems with FB yesterday and thought that maybe it was an older post from back in June when that was the last time he saw them. Heck, he might have even been talking about getting to talk with them on the phone. Who knows...but it's just irksome to hear some things second hand.

Nothing much planned today. I just dropped Lindsey off at school for her Halloween party and school. They're having crazy day and I sent her off crazy looking. I'm OCD'ish when it comes to clothes and this just about killed me with the non-mathcing.

I have my test today and once I pick DR up from daycare we have nothing planned. I might have him carve his pumpkin and then Linds can do hers when she gets home from school. Or I bought this Halloween gingerbread house type thing for the kids and we might do that today after the kids get home from school. All I know is that it will be nice and relaxing.

Well here's my latest !! We took about 12 Consumers to a self advocacy meeting in Buffalo last night !! Stopped for supper as usual and this month they picked McDonalds !!Well they only had 1 girl on register for inside the other was doing the drive thru ,but in between she was helpinhg get the food for EACH INDIVIDUAL in our group who were EACH paying individually!! Behind us was 1 lady Wel this Drive thru Gal calls her up to her register by passing all the rest of our people !! The other supervisor I was with FLIPPED and let her have it ! She got really snotty with us ! Needles to say a call is ging into Corporate about DISCRIMINATION!!! It was soooo blatant !!!

Well, I've had a craptastic start to my day.

Woody woke up looking very glassy-eyed. I hated to do it, but I had to take his temp and it's up over 102. He was devastated about missing school because of the party and the parade. Then, Buzz was just being slow and we were trying to get his tie right, and for the first time ever, we just totally missed the bus.

So, I had to drive him to school, but because our bus comes so early, I had to wait 25 minutes to take him.

Then I got the worst news. My dear friend from the twin playgroup who is Irish (all her family is still there) lost her mother just over a year ago to cancer, very quickly and very young. Yesterday, her 20 year old brother committed suicide. They don't know why. She's obviously very, very upset, mad, numb... It's awful. She's flying to Ireland today and her sis-in-law will take care of her kids. We'll do some food for them, but...

I am not in a good mood.

Thankfully, D is home, so I didn't have to drag Woody out to take Buzz to school. D's just left to do the tennis. I probably feel OK enough to have done it, but one of us needs to be home, and my voice is raspy, with a touch of headache. So, it's probably all for the best that I'm home with him for now.

One of us will need to attend the school costume parade in the afternoon, but we'll get to that later. I have some Math Superstars correcting to do, so I would kind of like to go so I can drop that off, but we'll see.

Good morning all. The Phillies lost, but that's okay we have the Yankees right where we want them We got up late this morning (7:30, usually up by 6:00). Jim went to work and I took Jimmy ot school. They have their Halloween party and parade today. I am going to school to help the teacher get the kids ready, so I have to leave here about 1115 or so. Other than that I am just going to veg for the morning, I'm tired.

Well gee its's a stinky morning in Focker Land huh?

I was up earlier than I intended but with this growing list of things to do and the "oh crap we leave tomorrow" feeling looming, it's probably for the better.

We never made it to the laundry yesterday, KC will prob do that this afternoon while I finish cleaning. I can not go on vacation and leave the house a mess.

Our friend Pants is stopping by tonight, and there is a huge party a few blocks away that some friends throw every year, so we will prob make an appearance there , if everything gets done. I also need to do my nails and take a nice long bath to relax my achy muscles. Here's hopin' that works out!

But tomorrow I will be in Disney, so it'll all be ok then.

OK, so my day hasn't improved much. Once D left for the gym, I looked around and found Buzz's homework folder still on the kitchen island. So, I felt like I had to run that to school early, as trying to deal with "business" during the parade/party seemed like a bad idea. Plus, I though D might like to hit the parade, but didn't know if he'd know what to do with the business end.

So, I went to school just before noon and dropped that off.

I came home, was home for about 45 minutes, and D decided he really had to do some work and I'd have to go the parade. So, I went back to school (that's trip #3 for those of you counting along at home) and saw the parade. It was fine, but it was supposed to be kind of a nice day and instead it's 53 and cloudy and very damp/cold feeling. Brr!

Party and parade at Jimmy's school went really well. The only issue I had is that went around the school yeard twice, so for 45 minutes I had to listen to the band play When the Saints Go Marching in. Couldn't you teach them another song

This morning we got up late, as a I said earlier. I forgot to send Jimmy's lunch with him in all the running around this morning Luckily they also have lunch the kids can get, so they just gave him one of those lunches. You can pass that MOTY award over here!

I will post pics of the parade and stuff later.

My headache has come and gone all week and I don't like it! Hence, I've not done much this week. Today is my sister's 10th anniversary and I was going to babysit but then Reid said he wanted to go to Auntie's and Uncle Mooch's so we're all going out together.

Reid is so excited about trick or treating tomorrow. He went with my sis to a party at her office and got to experience getting candy in his bag for the first time. As they were taking a walk around the neighborhood passing the Halloween decorations, he was commenting that he wanted to get candy there and there and there!

Kat, I thought I replied to you but we'll be at Epcot Sunday so I'll text you and hopefully we can meet. If not, I know you'll have a great time.
