I forgot to tell you at the staff meeting yesterday we were discussing on consumer's reluctance to excercise !! I suggested dangling a donut in front of her !! My Boss cracked up!! Said "You're bad and that's why I keepyou around !!!

Things have been crazy busy! I had my ingrown toe taken care of yesterday And i made it to all my classes so far today. Just wanted to stop by and say Thank you! for the birthday wishes.

WHOA, that's a lotta cheddar! LOL, totally out of my budget, but looks terrific it weren't!

I get a ridiculous deal on the DDP as a CM so we are only doing those places because of the plan, it's def not in the budget on an out of pocket trip.

LOTS to do today. The list is LONG. I have to get the majority of the packing done today as well as grocery shop and a huge load of laundry. KC isn't feeling too hot, which is slowing us down. I'd hoped to be halfway done already. PLUS the internet connection is touch and go and we spent like an hour on the phone last night with cable trying tog et a tech and they said Nov 9th is the 1st available appointment!!! really? KC uses this for work on weekends. It's gonna be a long road till WDW.

I booked all the ADRs and got everything but Cali Grill. I'm gonna try on the tele today.

I'm meant to be stapling 400+ book fair packets to go home with the kids, but I ran out of staples. I would have sworn I had a whole box, but I can't find it. D was out anyway, so I asked him to stop and get me some more, but in the meantime I'm stuck.

My co-chair said that the school has some automated ones, so I may wait until Tuesday and go do them there, anyway. My hand already kind of hurts. Who knew stapling could be so harmful?

I slept horribly - just tossed and turned, and don't know why - and all I want is a nap, but now the kids will be home in about 35 minutes and D anytime, and I think I missed my window of opportunity!

Dr. Belle wants me to proofread and suggest stuff for her next research study and survey, and I think she's even going to list me as a co-author for the paper , so I need to be pretty involved, but I just am not in the mood for thinking right now.

Lunch with my friend was lots of fun. We haven't seen each other ia while so it was nice to sit and chat with her (other than on FB)

Stopped at the dollar store to get some flashlights for the hike tonight.

I had class and lab this afternoon. We were told to come in early and I thought we were having a meeting with the second year Medical Assistant students. We were told not to eat anything just come to class early. Well, come to find out it's Medical Assistant week and we got a free lunch and played a few games instead of having class. We were supposed to have a test and it was cancelled until tommorow.

That's my kind of class

Thursday is a good TV night for me so I'm getting off to go watch a few DVR'd shows and then CSI and The Mentalist.

I agree, but watch that new show Flash Foward and Grey's Anatomy (and then I can't stay up any later than that )

Thanks about the tennis, and we're having a minor DVR problem, but hopefully it's getting fixed. This is the bad part about new technology - getting it to work the right way.

You are having what my daughter calls a "first world" problem. I am having a number of them right now - laptop, DVD player. She called yesterday and said "Mom, I'm having a first world problem...I'm about to hit 80Gig on my 80Gig iPod." I told her if that's your biggest problem, you're doing great

Normally I don't go, but Jim is taking the kids to the Nature CEnter for their Halloween event. More adults = less chance of anyone getting lost in the woods (at least not on purpose). It's a cute program and they can earn belt loops/beads.

So, We thought we had the laptop fixed. Someone mentioned it was probably the battery, so I got a new one and installed it last night - and the laptop booted right up - YAY! However, I just got a call from DH 5 minutes ago and he said he was on the computer and after about 10 minutes, it just died Then it went on again for a minute and died again I'm still waiting for the new power cord to come in, I'm hoping between the two it will work. I really don't want to have to get another laptop! Now our DVD/VCR combo is not playing DVD's, so I have to look for one of them this weekend.

After work, I'm off to a baby shower for a girl who used to work with us (unfortunately she got laid off last Christmas, I still feel bad about that). She is having a "surprise" baby very soon. Her daughters are 11 and 8 , or something like that. She's in her 40s and she was done, done, done and then - SURPRISE! So, a bunch of us from the office are throwing her a little shower. It will be nice to see her again.

Denise I had a problem with my laptop and it turned out to be a clogged fan. Does it get hot? If so undo the back, find the fan and clean it. Mine had a thick layer of solid fluff on it, like you get in a tumble dryer. Once cleared it's worked perfectly and saved me buying a new one

Seeing the Cafe World reminds of something cute Lindsey said to me last night. She was on there playing it last night after her bath. I told her it was time to get off and head to bed and she was like 'No mom! I need to do this, this and this all before I go to bed.' I told her tough she needed to march up the steps and she was like well then you can do this, this and this. I had no freaking clue what the child is talking about but she has fun playing on it.

I'm around. Sorry I haven't bee more chatty. This week has been so chaotic!!! This is the first day I've been home from more than an hour all day.

My back's doing okay. Like the dr. said it's like a roller coaster with ups and downs. It's usually 6-8 weeks before things are healed.

Baylie's got her first dance tonight. I'm so excited for her, but I'm sad my baby's growing up so fast. It's a fun time to be her mom, that's for sure, though.

Lipgloss (usually clear, but a "real" brand) I found a super cute zebra-print round one I already stashed away!
Bath bombs
Scented lotion
iTunes card
Cute socks for cold nights
Stationary with her name on it and blank inside for "thank you" or "thinking of you" cards
Cell phone gems or gift card to get more ring tones/screen savers

Baylie loves the blue perfume from Aero, too. I have to admit it smells so good, I bought myself a bottle!

I've seen the 2 larger bowls without the lid at the store for $40. Couldn't decide between red, orange & lime, and didn't need three sets, so I went with lime.

When mine did that, it was the mother board. Since it was under warranty, I don't know what it cost to fix it. It actually happened twice, and I don't have it back yet.

The computers at Mitch's office have been out for almost 20 hours! Ridiculous! Of course they can fill no prescriptions, so who knows what time he'll be home or if he'll have to work this weekend. Terrible IT people.

One of the reason I bought my Blackberry was the $100 rebate, not too shabby. I submitted it the first time August 8 and got a rejection because no receipt was attached. Right. Then another rejection because my phone number wasn't listed. Right. So today I get an email saying my rebate had been processed, and even though it usually takes 30 days, because I'm such a valued Sprint customer, I only have to wait 15. At least that's something.

JANET - The scout Halloween Hike sounds like fun to me. Happy B-day to your dad. Doug will be a whole 37! The meetings are about our 401s, present and future, severance, insurance, etc. Plus we got to talk to the new HR people. They don’t know that much on some issues. When you have a 3on/3off work force holidays and vacation are a bit confusing.

ANGELA - Drinking is a requirement on this trip. I’m sure there will be more of it than I listed. I don’t want to make us out to be lushes or anything! Is there such a thing as Disney Jail? You are going to meet up with us somewhere, aren’t you. I promise a free drink for you!

V- Yep! That is what some of our meetings are about also. The new company is using a whole new insurance company. One of the plans is a co-pay. I’ve been using the 80/20 with the deductibles type. I think the companies are Aetna and United Health Group. We used to have Anthem. At least the premiums don’t look too much more expensive. You are absolutely right about what we end up paying. NO CLUE and that’s the way they want it.

JO - I think some of the schools here will be on fall break this week or next. You are too funny on the MP!

DAWN - I hope Baylie does well at her 1st dance.

T - I like sending Christmas cards too. I’ll probably send you all cards from WDW while I’m there. I still have addresses from last year. Some of you have moved since then.

ROSIE - 1 donut wouldn’t get me motivated. It would have to be the whole box. MMM Perkins. I haven’t been to a Perkins since I live in Ft. Lauderdale 20+ years ago. We don’t have them around here any more.

My crazy expenditure for the day:
There is a place in Wisconsin that has wonderful fresh Bratwurst for sale. It's called Lake Geneva Country Meats. Look it up is you like.

I used to know someone who would swing by the place and pick me up some brats every so often. He no longer goes up there.

So I ordered some. They have to be shipped overnight. $$$$$ Hard numbers for the total - 8 pkg Brats + Shipping = $111. That is $60 in shipping people. When you break it down, each brat is costing me roughly $2.30 ea.

So to justify this and make myself feel a little better about it, I grabbed the Southern Comfort and used V's full proof 'Fuzzy Math'.

If we drove to Lake Geneva:
2 tanks of gas = $50
1 O/N stay at a hotel = $75
1 Cracker Barrel breakfast = $26
2 cheapo lunches = $24
1 good dinner = $80 (including tip)
Spending cash, 'cause you know you will do more shopping = $200
Total = $455
I saved us $344.

And with that, I bid you a-doo! Besides the pot roast is ready!
