Finally able to get on here! My 'puter's been reeeeeeeally slow today!

CE - Evan is completely crazy right now! Dancing around and chanting "ANGELS! ANGELS!" He's a die-hard fan! :lmao:

Kat - the dining plans look tasty. You might want to check on the Dessert Buffet, I'm pretty sure it's sold out until Dec. I have to say I love all your choices, but Narc's. I was really disappointed with the food last year. JMHO.

Night Janet and Lori! :wave:

Dinner's ready... eggplant & chicken parm. I'm feeling Italian this week. ;)

Later gators!

Is this comcast:sad2:

Yes. But to be fair, the woman last night and the one in the office today were fantastic. 1 bad one out of 3 isn't so bad. :rolleyes:

And, we finally decided instead of just turning it off as tonight's person said, we'd unplug it, and voila - it worked. Which is fine, but she needs to learn the difference between unplugging and turning off.

CE - Evan is completely crazy right now! Dancing around and chanting "ANGELS! ANGELS!" He's a die-hard fan! :lmao:

Oh, that makes me smile! :goodvibes

Any criticisms or postive-isms? :)

Planning is the name of the game for the weekend.
Cleaning up, packing, booking. KC's brother is coming over for a bit tonight and tomorrow we need to do laundry and grocery shop and buy some new sneakers for the trip. Sunday night we have a date night. We are going to see video games live, i'm excited, it looks really neat.

Anyways I need to stop procrastinating online and get my self together. Have a great day everyone!

T- prayers being sent your way!

Angela- will you be around the 1st week in Nov for a meet??? We'd love to hang out again!

For Breakfast Character meal I vote CP!!

V Glad about the a/c !!:)

Jo keep shopping !!:thumbsup2

I buy cvs bogo makeup all year for the girls fo stocking stuffers ,they LOVE it:love:

Whoa, exciting game!

I am thinking of heading to bed, but need to take care of a little Cafe World business first, and then this game got exciting!

I was checking the boards, which I don't normally do - I just use my User CP and rely on y'all to tell me if there's something good - but I saw that the DIS will be down for "several hours" tomorrow night, just FYI.

Hope everyone has a good sleep! Jo, have a good morning! :goodvibes

I'm up late, trying to keep up with you all.

T- I'm so sorry about the terrible news. Will they start a treatment plan ASAP?

V- Does your school do NWEA testing? It is a very accurate computer test that actually gets harder/easier as the child answers the questions, until it can give a grade level. Our school does it in the fall, then the spring to measure student performance. After they did it, my DS came home and said that his teacher made him do a really hard test on the computer, but everyone else got an easy one. "NO FAIR" (whine). In reality it's because his tests were going many higher grades, until they fit him.

ALSO- do they use the AR system (accelerated reader?) Almost all books have an AR score on the back or spine, telling a specific reading level. I know all scholastic books have it.

BTW- Flat Stanely is very age appropriate for 2nd grade. :thumbsup2

Jo- I'd be shopping if I was you too. I'm just trying to get through our b-day parties! DS is done, TINK is NEXT! Her b-day falls on Thanksgiving this year.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I made the most putsy little treat containers for both kids' School Halloween Parties. Why I put myself through torture, is beyond me. :upsidedow

I'm going to drop the kids at school tomorrow and then try to hit Toys R Us. Tink wants some dumb hampster toy that is SOLD out everywhere. :worship:

Oh and DS had a little friend over today who was a BRIT, just like our Jo Jo! His father works for Cargill (head quartered here) and they have moved here recently. :thumbsup2 I love listening to him. :love: His mum is super sweet too.

Nighty Night, sweet girls!

I've probably already missed you, but when I was setting up the DVR to record everything again, I found out that CSI isn't new tonight. :confused3 It's an old one with Grissom.

I noticed CSI was a repeat and ended up watching some DVR'd shows instead. The Mentalist was a repeat as well but I hadn't seen it yet so it was new to me.

CE said:
Yeah, so everything is fine except our On Demand stuff won't come up. We do like it for both catching up on shows and for the kids, so that's no good. D had some minor headaches with the universal remote, but seems to have it set now. I've "live chat"ted with Comcast, and tonight's rep isn't quite as, um, helpful. :rolleyes: She supposedly has sent two reset signals to the box, but nothing seems to be happening.

I'm supposed to give it up to an hour. She claims it will work, but I have a feeling I'm going to be on the live chat again. :sad2:

T, the Angels are off to a good start! :goodvibes

We got a new box the other day as well and our OnDemand stuff wasn't working right away either. I kept meaning to call but it finally popped up after 2-3 days.

My day is FINALLY over:yay: I picked Jimmy up from after-school, took him to his doctor appointment. GOt stuck in traffic on the way home:headache: Did McD's drive through for dinner:sick:, came home, finished up the homework he didn't finish at after school. Left at 6:40 for a meeting that started at 7:00, but that I was supposed to be there for at 6:15:sad2: GOt home about 8:10, got Jimmy's stuff ready for tomorrow while he got his bath. Now I am going to go pass out.

Have a good night!:goodvibes

:faint:What a day!

And, we finally decided instead of just turning it off as tonight's person said, we'd unplug it, and voila - it worked. Which is fine, but she needs to learn the difference between unplugging and turning off.

You know...never even thought of turning the whole thing off or even unplugging it to see if our OnDemand would work that way. :rotfl:

I am thinking of heading to bed, but need to take care of a little Cafe World business first, and then this game got exciting!

I was checking the boards, which I don't normally do - I just use my User CP and rely on y'all to tell me if there's something good - but I saw that the DIS will be down for "several hours" tomorrow night, just FYI.

Seeing the Cafe World reminds of something cute Lindsey said to me last night. She was on there playing it last night after her bath. I told her it was time to get off and head to bed and she was like 'No mom! I need to do this, this and this all before I go to bed.' I told her tough she needed to march up the steps and she was like well then you can do this, this and this. I had no freaking clue what the child is talking about but she has fun playing on it. :laughing:

*****************************************

I watched the news earlier and it looks like the teachers and schools in our district might not be going on strike. :yay: They are going to the bargaining table again but it looks like the salary increase might be going though for them. They most certainly deserve it!

Night everyone!

Hi Fockers!!!

Sorry for the absence. Things got busy again.

JO’s cat left a pressie in the proper receptacle. She had a bad day in golf on Tue.
If you ever come to my neck of the woods, I’ll take you to a DQ. The Pumpkin Pie flavored Blizzard is only around at this time of year.
Good kitty!

JANET says the home and school board are morons. She got a girls nite out on Tue. She survived the open MRI just fine.
I’m usually up by 2PM if I worked until 6AM. I haven’t had time at work to chat with you guys so I jumped on the computer at home before I left for work.

TE’s cat likes drawers. TE doesn’t like getting caught goofing off by Daren. She had some Ab drama on Wed morning. She is such a mean mom.
J/K. Teens!

LORI had no brakes on her car and the teachers are going on strike in the area. They are painting some rooms in the house. She got to party at school yesterday!
That’s strange about your DQ seeing how the first one I had was last year at Rockie’s place in Columbus, OH. What a rip-off. I guess you need to head to the next town.
Cool about your school day. Free food and games, what else do you need?

ANGELA can make turtles talk. She has learned a lot from the last book she read, Jean Valez-Mitchell’s iWant.
I love it when I can actually read something and apply it to my life. Usually my applications have to do with finances. Oh and vampires. :rotfl2:

ROSIE is busy with teacher conferences and work and Christmas prep and WDW planning.
You do make me tired. Congrats on getting some help with the job.

CE is close enough to throw a stone at the Apple store but it takes her 40 minutes to drive there. She did get her new phone. She posted her tuna recipe, post #930. She gets her brows waxed while she does yoga???
That must be something to watch. :lmao:
Doug would love that tuna stuff. I’m not so much into tuna with noodles. I like my tuna cold, as in salad or right out of the package. I’m weird that way.
I have no clue what you guys are talking about with your computer games but it sounds irritating. As does your tennis arrangements. I’m sorry you have to deal with the complications.

V’s sinus infection is getting better. She’s been horsing around again. She is going to get a great refi rate on the house if it all works out. Leo is doing well in school. She has A/C!!!!!
:woohoo:on everything!

DAWN’s back is better. She got beat up by a little girl.
;) I hope it is all smooth sailing for you and your back now.

LESSA is a smart cookie at school and is helping others.
I’m proud of you too! Keep up the good work.

KAT is heading to WDW next week! Oct. 31-Nov. 6. She posted her ideas for ADRs, post #993
Excellent! I think you’ll need to see what is not booked and go from there. It all looks great though. Do you get the dining free?

Z says the kitty is doing better. She took a couple of days off.
I hope you did get some rest!

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Lots of meetings at the job right now. I've had to go in on my days off for a couple. I have to watch how much I am on the computer so I will try to do updates before I leave for work on my days in. Plus, we have a co-worker on the opposite shift who has not been well for a while. It's a crap-shoot as to whether I will get called for OT. I got a call yesterday morning but I had too much to do.

I was up at..............9:15AM. :scared1: Good thing it was cloudy. I couldn't have taken full-on sunshine at that hour. I only had 4 hours sleep. I had a full day scheduled. I got my hair cut, got my lottery tickets, ate lunch atMcD's (I love the new Angus Deluxe burger), went grocery shopping at Wallyworld and Aldis, then got the tires rotated and balanced on the Kia. I got home and put away everything. I fried up some chicken using Uncle Buck's coating, baked some Uncle Buck's corn bread and steamed some broccoli.

I swear I work harder when I'm not at work. And I do it for free!!!

Oh and I did kill some time in Gordman's. Doug's B-day is Nov 3rd. I got him a couple of pairs of cool 'Guitar Hero' jockeys, some Ghirardelli chocolates and a pair of pajama bottoms with Miller Lite on them. :thumbsup2

Hi Jen :wave2:

I made the most putsy little treat containers for both kids' School Halloween Parties. Why I put myself through torture, is beyond me. :upsidedow

I bought Halloween ziplock bags. I'm so lame;)

I'm going to drop the kids at school tomorrow and then try to hit Toys R Us. Tink wants some dumb hampster toy that is SOLD out everywhere. :worship:

Jimmy says he wants this too:confused3

I watched the news earlier and it looks like the teachers and schools in our district might not be going on strike. :yay: They are going to the bargaining table again but it looks like the salary increase might be going though for them. They most certainly deserve it!

Night everyone!

That's great Lori.

JANET says the home and school board are morons. She got a girls nite out on Tue. She survived the open MRI just fine.
I’m usually up by 2PM if I worked until 6AM. I haven’t had time at work to chat with you guys so I jumped on the computer at home before I left for work.

It just threw me to see you posting that early:lmao:

Lots of meetings at the job right now. I've had to go in on my days off for a couple. I have to watch how much I am on the computer so I will try to do updates before I leave for work on my days in. Plus, we have a co-worker on the opposite shift who has not been well for a while. It's a crap-shoot as to whether I will get called for OT. I got a call yesterday morning but I had too much to do.

Are the meeting because of the sale?

OT = more DIsney $$:thumbsup2 Hope your co-worker is okay though.

I swear I work harder when I'm not at work. And I do it for free!!!

::yes:: OPne of the reasons I am looking forward to going back to work. TO get a rest:rolleyes1

Doug's B-day is Nov 3rd.

That's my dad's birthday. He is going to be 80:cool1:

==========================================

Good morning all. Jim and Jimmy are off to school/work. I am supposed to go to lunch with my girlfriend (we used to work together) but her DS was home sick yesterday from school. Have to call her later to see if we are on or off. I am kind of hoping she cancels. I'm still tired from yesterday, and tonight is Cub Scouts.

Normally I don't go, but Jim is taking the kids to the Nature CEnter for their Halloween event. More adults = less chance of anyone getting lost in the woods (at least not on purpose:rolleyes1). It's a cute program and they can earn belt loops/beads.

Here is a description of it:

Oct 23rd, 2009 : Halloween Hikes

Children of all ages are invited to experience the wonder of a night hike, go on a hayride, and meet nocturnal creatures in The Schuylkill Center's woodlands.

The Schuylkill Center's Environmental Educators will guide children along lantern-lit trails, where they will meet 'animals' such as an owl, an opossum, a bat, and a red fox. Each 'animal' will tell the children about their habitat, and provide children with a special treat for their goody bags.

After the night hike, children can take a hayride and listen for the sounds of our real nocturnal residents. Children will also be invited to paint pumpkins from The Schuylkill Center's pumpkin patch, roast marshmallows, and make s'mores around the campfire.

Come and see why Halloween Hikes are one of The Schuylkill Center's favorite family events!

Location:
The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education
Philadelphia, PA

They are giving us 1/2 price admission since we are a scout organization which is nice too! Luckily the rain is supposed to hold off until late tonight. Keep your fingers crossed!

We have decided on:
Boma (dinner) my pick
Boma (Breakfast) kc's pick
Cali Grill (dinner) never been before nice
Narcoossee's (dinner) kc's pick one of my faves
Yak & Yeti (lunch) Never been before try the shrimp chips & dip app that don't taste like Jo's shrimp chips. Jo, my BIL says you ca get them in Asian stores here, but I haven't looked yet
Brown Derby (lunch) also one of my faves

Angela- will you be around the 1st week in Nov for a meet??? We'd love to hang out again!
Yes! :cool1:

Well, come to find out it's Medical Assistant week and we got a free lunch and played a few games instead of having class. :woohoo: We were supposed to have a test and it was cancelled until tommorow. :yay:
Nice surprise. :thumbsup2

Dinner's ready... eggplant & chicken parm. I'm feeling Italian this week. ;)
I love eggplant parm, but never make it for some reason. I should.

Sunday, 6th
1:40 arrival at MCO, taking ME to CBR
DTD for eats and drinks and shopping!

Wednesday, 9th
Breakfast at Cape May
MK day, snack for lunch at Main St.
Dinner @ Beaches and Cream

:rotfl2: Very important to plan drinking. :goodvibes

Oct 23rd, 2009 : Halloween Hikes
That sounds fun, Janet and definitely something boys will like.

I stayed up late watching the baseball game, GO ANGELS, :cheer2:, sorry LL and the Florida State game. All the FSU fans want the coach to retire because he's about 95, ok, not that old, but somehow he got the school to agree that he can coach as long as he wants. :scared1: Who puts that in a contract? Now that he's not having a good season, the boosters want him gone. Hey, if the school was dumb enough to agree to it, why should he leave? :rolleyes1

If you're on Twitter, check out sh**MyDadSays, all spelled out. Definitely not G rated, but very funny.

Boma (Breakfast) kc's pick
Cali Grill (dinner) never been before

I am deciding on a character breakfast for our last day in or near the MK.

We are gonna do the desert party as well.
:eek: WHOA, that's a lotta cheddar! LOL, totally out of my budget, but looks terrific it weren't! :thumbsup2

That's gotta make the sticker shock a little bit easier to take :thumbsup2
It does, in a Fuzzy sort of way! ;)

V- Does your school do NWEA testing?
No, this is FL - we apparently like to do things our own, stupid ways. It's something, ironically, called FAIR. :rolleyes:

I swear I work harder when I'm not at work. And I do it for free!!!
LOL, I know what you mean!
Dinner @ Shutters
Yum! :thumbsup2
Evening - explore Boardwalk area, drinking

Floridians. I'll not say more, but I work in FL government... this doesn't shock me at all. :rolleyes:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I suffer a stress-induced heart attack from trying to decipher the new health care plan options during open enrollment, would that be covered by Workers' Comp. or my health insurance? :headache: They've rolled out these new plans that are a 180 from the old ones... but you can't figure out which is best without knowing exact costs for services, since there's no co-pay involved. And they won't give exact costs for services to protect themselves from liability. THE HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY IS BROKEN - FIX IT!!!!!
Rant over. ;)
Kind of like Joe Pa at Penn State:sad2:
The govt at work yet again ::yes:: I hated open enrollment before they started offering us Personal Choice. :sad2: Good luck figuring it out!
CE thanks for the stocking suggestions, now I need some cheap big stuff to fill their sack up:rotfl:
Angela, the prawn things from Yak & Yeti or my Skips?
Kat, wow looks great but as V said you have expensive taste :rotfl: BTW Narcoossee's is our favourite!
Sorry that's all I remember :blush:
Gorgeous day here, I was playing golf in my polo shirt and pants too of course :rotfl: We lost on the last hole which wasn't good but we have to play them at their course so as long as we beat them by more than that we'll be fine :thumbsup2
The girls are on holiday next week, they both really need the rest :thumbsup2
:hug: Do you have an FSA account to cover rhe difference or is that used for Leo's care.
Kind of like Joe Pa at Penn State
I think they are having a "see who can coach longer" game. :sad2:
Rachael Ray is on QVC selling bakeware. Makes me want some as well as to cook something. ;)
:cutie: Hi friends!
I'm around. Sorry I haven't bee more chatty. This week has been so chaotic!!! This is the first day I've been home from more than an hour all day. :headache:
My back's doing okay. Like the dr. said it's like a roller coaster with ups and downs. It's usually 6-8 weeks before things are healed.
Baylie's got her first dance tonight. I'm so excited for her, but I'm sad my baby's growing up so fast. It's a fun time to be her mom, that's for sure, though. :lovestruc
Jo- I thought I saw you asking about the girls' stocking for Christmas.
Here's some things I like to get for Baylie:
Lipgloss (usually clear, but a "real" brand) I found a super cute zebra-print round one I already stashed away! :cutie:
Bath bombs
Scented lotion
iTunes card
Cute socks for cold nights
Stationary with her name on it and blank inside for "thank you" or "thinking of you" cards
Cell phone gems or gift card to get more ring tones/screen savers
Baylie loves the blue perfume from Aero, too. I have to admit it smells so good, I bought myself a bottle! :rotfl:
Good luck!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of Christmas, are we doing cards this year? I'd love to do them.
If everyone's interested, I'll compile a list and send the info out. :surfweb:

I almost forgot.

Happy Birthday, Cel Bel!!!!!!!!
