Sorry about the MRI I can totally understand though, they look very enclosed:hug:

Bunnies are cute.

:rotfl2:

It's my 11 year Anniversary. Wowsers!

Congrats! :)

Have you all seen this (Could be modified for boys too):

Awesome! :lmao:

14. The King must do his best to please the Queen.

:rotfl::thumbsup2

Next year, Ab's senior class will go to WDW---and I think I would be a WONDERFUL chaperone what with my advanced Disney knowledge! :teacher:

.....she says no.:confused3

WHAT??? :hug:

My nephew is going in May with his Senior class. I keep trying to talk him into letting me be a chaperone...he's not going for it. I keep reminding him that I am the cool aunt. :confused3

Heck, yeah!

So I panicked in the MRI and only lasted about 2 minutes. CLAUSTROPHOBIC :eek: Never doing that again. I will just go without hearing..thanks!

Took Jimmy to the doctor. He has strep:sad2: He is very sad that he missed school and even sadder that he will miss Cub Scouts tonight. THe doctor gave him an antibiotic. Luckily he is off from school Monday for Columbus Day, so that will give him an extra day to just chill out.

Sorry on both counts. :hug:

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

You, too! :hug:

**************************************************
So, I'm totally bummed. :(

I called the school superintendant's office today since it is now October, and I thought they should know something about the substitute teacher stuff. They say that they have all they need coming back from last year. My app will remain on file, and if they need more, I COULD be called later in the year, but not to expect much for now. :headache:

I am just disappointed. I didn't know what to expect - I knew I'd not be able to work every day (which I didn't want to do) or even maybe every week, but I wanted something. Just something. Sigh. I don't know if I should e-mail the neighboring district - they just had a sub fair a couple of weeks ago, so maybe they're in the same boat with too many on the sub rolls, but I guess that is something to at least ask. :confused: Too much further, and I would be in trouble getting the kids on or off the bus if D wasn't home.

Sigh.

On another, happier, note, MIL took me shopping today and I got some new stuff. :thumbsup2

We're trying to figure out what to do about dinner/movie night. Everyone seems to want Chinese, but don't know if we'll go out or bring it in.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good evening! :grouphug:

parakeet...parakeet....parakeet....;)

I dunno---hers is blue. ???????????

her new parrot is a green cheek conure

CE---when I had kids your age, the moms who wanted to sub volunteered a lot and then the teachers called them directly when they needed a sub. sometimes it was only for a few hours a day.

Sorry on both counts.

:hug: Thanks CE. You'd never know he is sick at this point. He's gotten one dose of the Zithromax, and he's been eating everything in sight!:confused3

So, I'm totally bummed. :(

That stinks!

So does that mean you agree and I'm right? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:sad2:

parakeet...parakeet....parakeet....;)

::yes:: :thumbsup2

=========================

As I stated above JImmy seems to be much better. Eating. Drinking lots of gatorade. Excited about going to sell popcorn tomorrow. Ticked off that we wouldn't let him go to Cub Scouts:lmao:

Tomorrow we have to work the Cub Scout Popcorn booth. Jimmy is very excited becasue he gets to wear his full uniform for the 1st time. Will take pics of course.

May or may not check in later, if not, hope everyone has a good night!:goodvibes

That is a bummer - I would definitely contact the other district though. Just a thought, but could you maybe do some private tutoring??

Either can and will crap on your head.

So true :rotfl2:
----------------

Good morning everyone! So, when I said DH usually can't stay up much past our show at 9pm - last night - 8:35pm :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's kind of overcast today, but not raining, so I'll try to get my errands done early. I'm also gearing up the Christmas gift quilting - I'm making my boss and his wife a large quilt as he's a super guy and he lets us use his beach house - for free- all during the off-season:thumbsup2. Then, I'm trying something new - some fabric baskets. You cover clothesline with colorful fabric and wind and sew to turn them into baskets. We'll see - I've never done it before but I've got the DVD, looks pretty easy :rolleyes1. Yeah, we'll see how that goes!

I'm wracking my brain trying to find a recipe I saw this week - a nutella cake. It looked so good and I wanted to try it out. For the life of me, I can't remember if I saw it in a magazine, on a blog, or where. I thought I printed it out, but can't find anything. I'm forever doing that - deciding I'm making that and not remember where I saw the recipe :headache: If I find it and it's good I'll let you know!

Good Saturday everyone!

Sounds like you had a clever budgie there and do you make your yorkshires from scratch?

I'm here, but since I have nothing to say but whining....I thought I'd keep quiet.
:lmao:

Nothing exciting here. We're supposed to have a freeze tonight. It's been chilly during the days, but now it's really going to get chilly. Brrrrr.

My eye still hurts alot. It's swollen shut, bruised and very red. I see Dr.Seigel on Monday afternoon so hopefully he'll say that's all normal. :confused3

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I'm so sad that I can't go pick apples.... :sad2:

Jo--We are all watchin' the Hokies play now! :thumbsup2 (beating Boston college BTW!)

well, my high school team lost their 1st game last nite--but they lost to the 4 time district champs so that's ok I guess. It was a good game!

+++++++
New kitty is doing good--she/he is eating good but still very afraid. Keeping her in a large crate and talking softly to her which is what the internet said to do! I gave her the Revolution treatment too. Daran didn't say much--just "she'll be OUTside, right??" Isabella would kick her kitty rear if she got in here so that would not be good!

Hey guys! Happy Thanksgiving! ;) Errr, Columbus Day. :laughing:

The grandparents left this morning, they were only here for two days. Turns out the reason for the visit is that they wanted to buy Mom a new car for her birthday! So we will be accepting delivery of a shiny new Toyota Camry on Thursday or Friday. :woohoo: It is a VERY generous gift, funny thing is that they wanted Mom to keep it a secret from us until she drives up to the house in it. Obviously she did not keep it a secret or I wouldn't be typing this right now. :laughing:

Even though it is Thanksgiving weekend I am working a shift every day including on Thanksgiving. It is not so bad though as campus is pretty quite as most people have gone home for the weekend and I still get to have my Thanksgiving meal with the family once I get home from work in the evening.

We did get to do something fun at work today though. They are setting up an emergency public address system on campus for various reasons (intruder/weather/etc) and we got to test it out today so that was fun! I guess they decided to test it this weekend to minimize the amount of people who would be disturbed and/or freak out upon hearing it. They did send out a university wide e-mail announcing they were going to be testing so people were warned in advance but you know how people are sometimes. :rolleyes: One guy today heard the test and he ran out of his office and ended up getting locked out so we had to go over and let him back in. :lmao:

hey guys! I had a crazy week! So it's finally over and now I have a TON of studying to do.

you guys were talking about birds and pooping on people?

at AK I watched birds sit over the asia bridge and wait and time it to land on people. The birds would even wait until there was a large crowd of people so it was a bigger target.:lmao:

Im in a bird class right now and have a test net week. I have to be able to identify humdreds of birds and about 90 bird songs and calls. :scared1: But after being in the class for a few weeks I'm thinking a bird might be pretty cool to have. After all, i took my mammal class and was inspired to get potts, maybe now i'll get a bird too, and then when I take my reptile class I'll probably want an iguana to top it off. I think the bird will have to wait though...i already have twice the animals I should have.

I'm off to starbucks to go study. I've just been getting too distracted at home lately.

Has anyone heard from Kristel? I hope shes alright!:hug:

Hi all :wave2:

Dreary day, but a busy one here.

We sold popcorn for the cub scouts from 8am to 12pm. Then we went and got Jimmy's Halloween costume. Now we are home and we all exhausted. I need a nap;)

Hope everyone is having a good day!
