Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Whoops, I was in reply-mode and forgot to say anything else, lol!

Back to work for me this week - bleh. Nothing going on because everyone's still on vacation.

I finished the semester - hooray! And my mentor FINALLY got things taken care of, so I'm all registered for Jan. 4 classes to go!

We had a lovely, quiet Xmas, and I'm looking forward to the same for New Year's Eve. Leo thinks he's going to stay up till midnight. I told him "Have fun! I'll be in bed by 10."

Been busy with the kids and their goodies. Evan's driving me batty wanting to build all the Lego stuff he got for xmas. :faint:

I have seen the pics on fb :faint: Luckily Jimmy did not get alot of Legos this year and those he did get he was able to build by himself!:thumbsup2

Janet - Maddie got Epic Mickey for xmas, she loves it! It's really cool, as I guess parts of it are in Disneyland. I know IASW is in there.

Not too dark?

Christmas this year was much different than usual, but much better than I expected, and no stress! We hung out at the beach for about two hours as the weather was nicer than we expected. Then had lunch on the intercoastal. I might have even gotten a bit of a tan. :goodvibes Then the next day it was freezing.

Glad you had a good day:thumbsup2

Janet, how long will you be working at Macy's?

Well, next week was supposed to be my last week, but they called me today and asked if I would be willing to become permemnat p/t. I said yes, for now. If it starts to interfere with Jimmy or any any of his activites I will give it up, but for now the extra money is nice.:thumbsup2

I've spent the last week+ in bed with the stomach flu. It's been a terrible bug, but no one else got it!

Sorry you were sick but glad no one else was:goodvibes

I'm working on our WDW plans for this coming year. This year we went in early Nov. We are thinking of pushing it out a titch more... but I'm on the fence if we should be there for Thanksgiving. We were there a few years ago on Thanksgiving and then the week after and I felt that it put a big bite in my Christmas planning. I felt very rushed over the Holidays. :confused3

Any word on the possible move?

What did {Santa} bring you this year? Post a picture, link or explain it. Come one, Come all Fockers...

I got beautiful sapphire earrings and necklace from Jimmy (His birthstone;)) I will have to take pics and post later:thumbsup2

Ditto - shall we all meet here again?! party:

Count me in. ALthough I will have to take Wii breaks. Jimmy has declared tomorrow pajama/Wii day:lmao:

So glad it finally got straightened out:woohoo:

JImmy too!;) ALthough if it is like last year he will pass out at about 10:15:thumbsup2

Evan's determined to stay up, too! But if he doesn't, he asked that we kindly wake him to see the ball drop.

At least he asked politely:goodvibes

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hey all! Hope everyone had a good day. I worked from 8 -12. They were shutting down 2 hours early today has our "gift" for the holidays, then I had 2 hours I had to use or lose by tomorrow (We are closed tomorrow). Came home. picked up JIm and Jimmy and we headed over to see my dad...who is sick:sick: THink it iis just a bad cold (from this goofy weather - snow on SUnday to 45 today:headache:) My brother made an appointment with his doctor for him for tomorrow. HE is supposed to fly out on Tuesday, but we want to get an all clear before he does.

We have no plans tomorrow. As I said above Jimmy has declared it pajama/Wii day. He is also determined to stay up until midnight. We shall see;) I will probably do some laundry and other stuff that I usually do on the weekends becasue I am working on Saturday and then we will spend the day with dad on Sunday.

Monday starts back to the normal routine (work and school) and in the the midst of all of that we need to start taking decorations down. The outside decorations won't come down until the snow melts. Our snowpeople outside are buried at this point!

I will try to stop in tomorrow for the . What time?

Have a great night!:goodvibes

Happy new years eve!!

I'm getting ready to get ready to go to work in a few minutes so that's super fun! :cool1: And Daran is going fishing......I think Ab is going to an actual party. Oh well, I won't work too long, but I've been behind all month and I have to finish up as it's the end of the month (and quarter).

I need to take decorations down too---will wait also till kids are back in school unless I can start bribing them earlier--they go back Monday pending no more storms. They haven't been back since 12/10. missed 8 days already.

well, I better get moving!

I have seen the pics on fb :faint: Luckily Jimmy did not get alot of Legos this year and those he did get he was able to build by himself!:thumbsup2
Nope. Evan's sets are all too complicated for him (even I screwed up the castle!), except the Quidditch match. He did build that one himself. Everything else we worked on together. :thumbsup2

Not too dark?
It's dark. But I don't know if it's "too" dark. My kids like dark, so I guess it depends on the kid. If he's ok with movies like Coraline, Corpse Bride, etc., he'll be fine.

Sounds pretty!

Hope your Dad feels better! Enjoy your pajama day! :goodvibes
Happy new years eve!!
Right back attcha! Have a good day at work!

*******************************************************
Not much going on here, really. Got a new washer, so I get to do laundry today. :lmao:
I wanted to go out and do some shopping. Evan got 2 double Lego sets, so he wants to take those back today, but I'm scared to even set foot on Disney property. (LEGO store is at DTD) I've heard it's been NUTS with DLR closing it's ticket booths and then the turnstyles, even if you have AP's or tix. :scared1:

I made dinner ressie, 'cause I'm soooo tired of cooking and then my brother and his family is coming over tonight for cocktails and some gaming.

Other than that, I'm just waiting patiently for Tuesday to come, :woohoo::banana::yay: - as that's back to school day! :rotfl2:

Happy New Years Eve! party:

Jimmy goeas back Monday:yay:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Tried to get an apointment for dad with either my doctor or my brothers doctor becasue he still isn't feeling good. NEither one open today:headache: My brother took him to the ER. He has basically a REALLY bad cold. THey have shot him up with some anti-biotics and are doing some tests since he is flying home this week. The tests are just precaution. If he would have let me call my doctor on Monday like I wanted to :rolleyes1.

JIm and Jimmy are at the library and then bringing McD"s home for lunch. I am doing laundry..yippee:rolleyes: Want to get it done today becasue I am working tomorrow and then going to Walmart and to see my dad on Sunday. I will go see him Monday after work too, but tomorrow will be so JImmy can see him before he leaves becasue I will go over right from work.

Jim wanted to know if I wanted champagne for tonight. I asked him why when we would all be passed out by 10:30:rotfl2:

Happy New Years Eve:goodvibes

Happy NYE everyone, it's only 1.5 hours away here :goodvibes

We went to Emma's today as they got home yesterday, the girls loved playing with the boys and really loved their DKNY gloves and Links of London bracelets that my sister got them for Christmas (they have better jewellery than I do  :rotfl:) They're also coming here tomorrow as Joe is off to a footie match!

Wednesday the girls and I went to the mall, mainly so I could return most of the pressies D bought me, he got me a lovely vest (coat with no sleeves we call them gilets/body warmers) but it was too small, also a pair of funky slippers that again didn't fit oh and a top that, yep you've guessed, didn't fit. You'd think he'd realise my b0obs need a bit of room :rotfl: Oh and yesterday I took back another gift (Dr Layton for DS) as Ellie got it from my Dad. So basically I'm left with no pressies but I then did spend £450 on a new laptop which my Dad is paying for :yay: I think I may buy something from Links of London or Pandora :thumbsup2

As you can see we're doing nothing tonight, the girls went to bed about 10 minutes ago so even they're not bothered :rotfl: Oh did I tell you that whilst I was away I won a karaoke machine? I think I need to learn how to ebay :rotfl2:

So Jen what was your best pressie? And any news on moving here?

Evening all.

Went down to the Jersey shore today for snow on the beach but there really wasn't much snow. It was a nice day out with Jim though.

Planning a quiet New Year's Eve. Have a few snacks in case any of the kids stop by. Jim has work tomorrow at his PT job so it will be an early night for him. I have a party at my mom's and my aunt's houses tomorrow. My aunt lives in the heart of the mummers area so I will definitely head there for an hour or two to see them come back down to the club houses. Not much else going on here.

Have a nice New Year.

Happy New Years Eve everyone.

I come with somber news today. Kristel asked me to relay some news from her neck of the woods, things with her hubby have gotten really bad and she has to put him into a nursing home asap. His mobility just isn't good enough and she isn't able to take care of him 24/7. I'm sure the decision was a hard one for her to make.

so send her some thoughts and prayers that this new year is a better one for them!

We are having a quiet night home here, KC is fixing up the computers and making some home server thingie and I am making some pigs in a blanket and cheese puffs and we got a bottle of Rosa Regale to toast with.

Hope everyone has a great night
!

To All My Focker Friends

Happy New Years Fockers!

OMGoodness... I came to raise a glass to 2011 with my FOCKER friends... and am terribly saddened for Kristel. :sad1:

Sorry to hear Kristel is having a rough time--I see families struggle with this decision every day. :grouphug:

Not doing much right now.......what's everyone else doing?

Well, we did decide on our 2011 vacation this week! :cool1:

Whilst we had hoped to go to the UK...the whole miles and money thing didn't quite work out for 2011

And D only has school/ work off the week of the 4th and we had to find mile saver flights on American to work during that time (finding a needle in the hay stack!)....but lo and behold we found flights from our little airport to Disneyland! Imagine that! (Not DisneyWORLD---not that you folks would make that mistake!)

So T---check out the early plans---will need some advice!

will not post dates here
fly into SNA/John Wayne....stay in Anaheim for 4 nites.....then go to Yosemite for 2 nites....then San francisco for 3 nites

I have never been to CA at all so it will be fun to plan!

Kristel I'm so sorry and will be thinking of you both  Kat thanks for letting us know!

Whilst we had hoped to go to the UK...the whole miles and money thing didn't quite work out for 2011
But I'd already planned where we were meeting and everything :sad1: Have fun at DL though!

Well where were all your silly posts etc? I thought I'd log on to find pages and pages, you all disappoint me :sad2: :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Poor David. He should do what Jim did. Just have me go buy everything and then he wrapped it:lmao: (Just clothes)

Went down to the Jersey shore today for snow on the beach but there really wasn't much snow. It was a nice day out with Jim though.

AC? Was it packed?

Hey all! On my way to work @ Macy's. Jim is vegging watching Mythbusters and JImmy is still sleeping. Guess that is a good thing becasue tomorrow we will get him up fairly early to go see my dad before he heads back to Florida. Jim and Jimmy go back to school Monday:woohoo:

Hope everyone had a safe and fun NYE and that 2011 finds everyone happy and healthy. Love you all:hug:

I couldn't get the BA miles to stretch out for 4 people! Plus they want to charge a lot of money for something called "fuel" even when you're using miles. :confused3 Like $500. So, we'll save them for when it's just the 2 of us---like when the Olympics comes to London in 2012! :thumbsup2 This flight only cost $40 for the 4 of us so that was much better! :thumbsup2

FWIW, I'm really nervous about Ab flying with this blood clot too--so we will all be making the pilot stop every hour so she can walk. :thumbsup2 No, but I am going to read all the books, and do the exercises with her and drink all the water you are supposed to---you know, the stuff we are ALL supposed to do on long flight, but avoid doing so we don't have to use those tiny bathrooms. ;) The longest leg is only 4 hours so that's better than going transatlantic so that was a consideration this year certainly.

So...it's 1-1-11!!

Traditions?

We are going to my MIL:
Black eyed peas for luck
Cabbage for money
Hog jowls for ........have no idea...high cholesterol??:confused3;)
