Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Sorry TE, yes I knew where Algeria was.

So, I was just on Disney Dining to make some ADR's for Sept. Wasn't expecting to find much with free dining and all.

Well, I was shocked at all the availability there was.

Is attendance down this year?

Is that a special offer or something I don't know about?? We are not sure if we can do MNSSHP because of funds but if I could find a deal .... :rolleyes1
No, donating to the Children's hospital doesn't help with MNSSHP, it's for tix to the parks. It's really only worth it if you don't need a ton. We're doign the $300 donation and getting 4 tix. That's less than the $86 a ticket at the gate or through Disney. The day we do MNSSHP, we're not buying park tickets. We're going to relax and go after 4pm. :thumbsup2 I've been dying to go, so I can cross it off of my list of things I want to do some day. :cutie:

What are your dates again?
Sept. 29-Oct 3

Enjoy........... whatever you do :rotfl2:
:headache: :rotfl:

Haven't heard of that, who's in it?

It's an animated movie. Steve Carrel does one of the voices.

OMG, how were the kids? See to me 4 hours is a huge drive not just a little add on at the end :rotfl2: Have fun at your reunion!

:lmao: My parents drove straight through to Florida yesterday. It is roughly 1000 miles from here to there.

They said it would be NUTS there when the French won a game....never happened whilst we were there.....

One year we were in Disney during world cup. July = Brazillian tour groups (at least then it did). France and Brazil were in the final. France won. We happened to go to the ESPN Club that night and all the Brazillians were in there drowning their sorrows. A bunch of French people came in wrapped in Flags, blowing whistles, honking horns, etc. I thought the Brazillians were going to go jump in the lake.

But why were they celebrating in France???:confused3

What date was this? It was probably becasue Algeria beat England! Jim watched soccer:rolleyes1

Sorry TE, yes I knew where Algeria was.

Me too, although my first thought was Albania and I thought of Coach from Cheers...Albania, Albania, you border on the Adriatic:rolleyes:

Not according to mom. At least WL has been at 97 - 100% capactiy every day since the 1st of the year:confused3
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Good morning. As I said above mom and dad called at about 10 of 9 last night. They driove straight through and are home safely:thumbsup2 Jim and Jimmy are at Jimmy's doctor appointment. I am at work. Only 34 days until vacation:cool1:

Good morning all!!I am OFF today !! I plan to get my haircut before they call me SHAGGY!!:rotfl2:

Still waiting for more details on my October Trip !!:confused:Ya know this Disney OCD is not handling NO details well!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Morning all. I have survived my weekend. The wedding was very nice, my in-laws renewal was lovely and then I went to the Phillies game Saturday with my grandson, Jim had a migraine. I almost wished the Phillies had lost :eek:because the other pitcher was throwing a perfect game going into the 9th. That is a once in a lifetime thing. I was glad when they won though in the 11th inning. Jay and I had a great time.

My anniversary was yesterday so it was out to eat again. I have leftovers so at least I don't have to cook tonight. I actually wound up in the drs. office yesterday. My dr. actually opened the office on a sunday. I was bit up by spiders at the wedding and my arms were really swollen. He gave me a prescription and I feel much better today, just tired.

I have a few pics from the wedding.

and the bride's tattoo

The tattoo actually didn't show that much because the veil covered her back. I was shocked at how many of the girls in the bridal party had large, visible tattoos. Of course my youngest daughter has one on her shoulder too. Not my thing.

Oh well, not much on the agenda today. I have the kids til around 4 but I have an extra day off this week so that is nice. I need to clean up the house a little, being out all weekend I have let it go. I need to vacuum because the dog has been shedding alot.

Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning missed friends!

I'm sitting in the coffee shop with ds while tink is at a performing arts camp. Camp is too far from home to go back and forth. I started knitting recently so I'm going knit whilst ds reads. Fun, fun!

Am I seeing it right... Dawn you're going back to WDW? Awesome!

What else is new around here? I try to keep up with fb updates... But sometimes I miss them.

Janet!!!!!!

I am watching airfares to Orlando. If I can get a decent price I will be heading down to see my parents November 10th - 14th. That is veteran's day weekend...so I am sure it will be crowded, but my only plan is to see Rick Springfield at Epcot

Hope you all have a good Sunday:goodvibes
We'll be there then!!! Oh please I hope you find airfare!! Keep me posted!

Hi Rosie - enjoy your day off!:goodvibes

Taz - I agree, tattoos not my thing, but live and let live! You grandson is quite handsome:goodvibes

Jenn - :woohoo: I am on a daily hunt. I am hoping to get a decent ding from SOuthwest. Since it would only be me I wouldn'thave to worry about getting seats together etc. Will keep you posted:cool1:

I have tried to knit on occasion but I get too frustrated. I crocheted years ago but I make the stitches too tight and then too loose. :lmao: I leave all of that to my mom.

Thank you. I kept telling him how handsome he was all night. 3 drinks will do that to me. :rotfl2: Seriously he really is getting more handsome every time I see him. He is such a good kid although he does remind me that the Cards stink all the time. He is a true Phillies fan.

I hope you get a good ding. I always get them for Orlando going anywhere but Philly. I'm glad your parents made it home safely.

Perhaps. He really wants to see italy also. If we do, when is the best time of year to go? What are the "must see's"? How long should we try to stay?
Anytime from about May to September is nice, you can never guarantee the weather here though :sad2: You have to spend a few days in London then I'd suggest you choose a country location to visit as we have some gorgeous villages pretty castles etc. It takes a long time to get anywhere as our road system isn't as good as yours so take that into consideration!

I found a Marriott that says it's near Leeds castle (looks south of London)--is that close to you? If so, maybe I'll book it for next year!
It's about 10 minutes away :yay:

He's staying at a Marriott in downtown London.
OMG I've never heard of any part of London being called Downtown before :rotfl2:

Jo - too many bags, but I kinda wish I had gotten one more....
:rotfl:

We have dinner reservations at 9 pm tonight at Chez Francis! :cool1:
It's a nice cafe on a cute corner near the Eiffel! I updated my Facebook status during this meal cause I thought it was really cool to be eating dinner near the tower! :thumbsup2
Looks lovely and I knew Algeria was in Africa but not where abouts if that helps!

I can't see your photos, it says they've been moved :sad1:

Good morning missed friends!
Hey Jenn

We had some well overdue rain here today, it literally chucked it down for about 3 hours this morning and it was so hard it woke us up  We do need it though and it has cooled things down :thumbsup2

D and I had a pretty lazy day, he nipped into town to put some cheques in the bank, we then did the supermarket shop, cleaned the garage out and other stuff :rotfl2:

Tomorrow starts my 10 days of manic golf as I have 7 matches to play

I reposted the pics. I put them on here and then moved them around. The meds I am on for the spider bites has made me a little loopy. :rotfl:

Seven matches in 10 days seems like a lot of golf, but good luck.

I am no longer SHAGGY!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Wooohooooo :rotfl:

It is and thanks :goodvibes

Did anyone get an email from MMC about a goodie box?

Hmm....I don't know enough to know why that's funny! :rolleyes:Is it Uptown or what??

:rotfl:
Looks lovely and I knew Algeria was in Africa but not where abouts if that helps!

Glad I could help a few geographically challenged friends!

Good luck with the golf marathon!

Hope you feel better....and yes, that's a big tat!
It's becoming a "rite" of passage for 18 year olds for some reason. :confused3

Hey--we noticed that piercings were not popular in Germany---many did not have even 1 ear pierced. Is that a European thing?? :confused3

Yay I can see them now and yes he is handsome and I'm not keen on the tatoo it's rather big! I hope the meds are working

He is rather cute. It is a large tattoo and there is a matching mate on the other shoulder.

Hope you feel better....and yes, that's a big tat!

The meds have worked just made me really tired. It's a prescription strength Benadryl. The swelling is down considerably and I'm not as itchy as I was. I had 5 spider bites on both arms.

My daughter got a large tat on her shoulder when her son was born. It's just words but she regrets that it shows now in dressy clothes.

Hey all. Quick check in here. It has been pouring rain. GOt soaked getting into work. This is making Faye look like a summer shower:eek: THe road I take to and from work is flooded. (GOt to work and then they closed it). We are under Flas Slood warning and some of the surrounding suburbs are under Tornado watches. It's gonna be a looong day.

Other than that, not much going on here. Crazy busy at work. Lot's of fires to put out and I seem to be the only one with enough brain cells to do it. (Which doens't say much for the rest of my co-workers:lmao:).

Hope everyone has a great day.

Jo -Good luck with all the golf

Rosie - pics!

Taz - I am so with you on the tats. My brother let my 16 yo nephew get one. I thought my mother and father were gonna die!

Hi, ladies!

Mo and TE - gorgeous pictures and great reports. Thanks!

Welcome home, T & V! :goodvibes Glad you had a great trip!

I have a tattoo, but you can't see it unless I want you to. Mo does not have one. I checked. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Taz, your grandson is indeed handsome. Happy belated Anniversary!

Jo, the kids were fine with the drive - they wanted to keep going, too. They watched some movies in the car, then I finished reading a book out loud to them whilst Dad drove, then they watched some more movies, then they fell asleep. :thumbsup2 We will not go back in one day - Mom won't be able to drive like Dad did.

Janet, glad your parents made it safely home, too. ;)

Hi to everyone, particularly Jen! :wave2:

Um, what else? I saw Shrek 4 and thought it was cute but not nearly as funny as the previous ones.

*************************************************
It's been an easy but fun couple of days. Sunday we went to church (and the walls didn't crumble when I passed through the door! :rotfl:) and then Mom got a call from my grandma's nursing home. Her feeding tube was coming out again. The nurses there didn't want to try to put it back in, so they were going to have to take her to the ER - which they had done the week before. Grandma was fed up - the tube was working, but she wasn't showing any marked improvement, and she's tired and done. So, she made the decision to remove the tube permanently.

It's OK - nothing will happen too fast, and she can drink Boost drinks and eat whatever she thinks she can swallow. She will continue to get fluid in her lungs with every sip, but she will get some nutrition and probably will be around for several months yet. I think it's the right decision - she's been working hard on PT and OT to "get home" but knowing that it's not going to happen and without much help from the feeding tube... It's fine. But, that made for a crazy day on Sunday. D's mom was here, still, but left around 3:30, and then we just all collapsed into naps and such.

Yesterday was a run around day - I had to pick up Dad after he dropped off their "extra car" for some work. Then we went to see Grandma and then we went to my cousin's house. She has a pool, and some older kids, and that was fun. After swimming, we went to their neighborhood baseball field and the kids played some pick-up ball, and then we picked up "take and bake" pizzas and came home.

Today we had breakfast at the tiny diner and then snapped a bunch of green beans, which are being canned. Mom has a chiropractic appointment this afternoon in a nearby town that has outlets, so we'll go with her and do a little shopping. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow we'll likely hang with Dr. Belle and her DNiece8 and DNephew4, which will be fun. Thursday I go see my friend with the newish baby - he's 3 months old. :) And then Friday we'll start driving back... Too short of a visit, even though it's a week. :sad2:

Well, I need to see what's going on downstairs... I hope you have a great day! :thumbsup2

Hi girls! :wave2:

I've been all kinds of busy since we got home on Friday and that jet-lag really kills me! :headache:

Saturday we lazed around trying to get back into our time zone, although I did get all the laundry done and suitcases emptied and put away.

Sunday we went to DCA, had dinner and watch World of Color. OMG, it's soooo beautiful. It's best nighttime Disney show on both coasts and knocked out of my top notch pick. I think you all should come to California to see it. ;)

Yesterday was my errands day...hit the grocery, hit Target, had my teeth cleaned...yada, yada, yada.

Today is a bit more relaxed. I had to take Maddie to VBS with my cousin and her 2 DDs and then hit Target again for things forgotten. I hate that, but they have all the school supplies out, so I found my happy place. :cloud9:

I really only read this page... sorry! I know I missed loads, but I'll try to catch up soon.

CE - Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I can totally understand her being tired - it must be difficult, especially since she's completely coherant and knows what's going on. Sending you much love and peace for Grandma.

Janet - Yickes! Tornados, too! Stay safe!

Taz - I've got 2 tatoos that are easily 12-15 years old. The one on my shoulder is of a dancing fairie and the one on my lower back is a meadow scene with a fairie. They were very "me" back in the day, but now, not so much. I would love to get something done that represents my family unit now... my DH, DD & DS. I'm just too chicken. :lmao:

I had to take my daughter to work in the height of one the downfalls. All the lights on Street Road were out so I had to do a lot of U-turns to get around. She works at the casino on the opposite side of the road and they weren't letting thru traffic past the intersections - had to turn. Stopped at Dunkin on the way home and the kids and I sat in the car and ate donuts until the rain let up - 45 MINUTES later. Not fun with 3 little ones.

I don't like the tats. My daughter was over 18 when she got hers so I had no say. She did no my feelings about placement and now understands why I feel that way. She is going to school to be a nurse and realizes that they are unprofessional looking. I did let her pierce her eyebrow when she was 16 because that can be taken out and she was trying to pierce it herself. :scared1: I came down to a giant safety pin over her eye one morning.

I don't think I want to.

Thank you, on both accounts.

I worry about the church collapsing when my son goes on a holiday. :rotfl2:

Sorry about your grandma. Sometimes they know when to stop fighting but it's still hard on everyone.

++++++++++
The rain has let up for a moment here but more is expected. The kids are housebound and fighting and I get to add 2 more to the mix later. Thankfully I am off for the next 2 days. Other than that not a whole lot going on.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

Did you hurt them:confused:
