Boo went into the front garden today and the bully cat attacked her Luckily I was there so I got him off her but I had to kick him, I know not nice but he was on top of her biting her and he clawed and bit my friend when she got him off her cat Boo isn't bleeding but is shaken up

Lessa: I read about all the Maria/Dad/Angelica drama. I'm sorry, that really stinks all the way around. But, I commend you for still wanting a relationship with your dad. Andy and his father have been estranged for over 5 years, after a similar situation. It's really sad, but I don't get involved, KWIM?

The way I look at it is that I only have the one dad and do I really want to look back on my life and regret not having a relationship with him? We have our rough spots as I am brutally honest and tell him EXACTLY what I think about what he did and his wife but for the most part we get along well.

Evan's still yucky and spotted, but he's doing great otherwise. You'd never know he was sick, as his energy level is waaaaay up there.

Glad he is faring well. Both times I had it I was so drained and did nothing but lay in bed for two weeks.

I'm supposed to go with my parents tomorrow to a funeral, but I'm on the fence. My dad's cousin's daugther's husband (whew!)passed away from brain cancer on Monday. He was retired Navy and an LAPD officer, so I know it'll be a full honors funeral, but it's really far away and I don't feel right about leaving sort of sick, Evan with my brother. And I know it's going to be sad, as he's left behind his wife and 3 teenaged boys. I only met the deceased once, when he came for my Grandfather's funeral a few years back, but still, there will be a lot of family I haven't seen in a while. Ugh, can you tell I"m on the fence?

Thank you. My mom bought all of their outfits so that helps with them getting dressed a little. Crystal actually had to find her gloves from last year and the baby wanted her purse. They like to get dressed up, even Mikey.

I think that's a great way to deal with your dad. My BFF split with her husband and the kids will not talk to him at all because he had a new GF within a couple of months. The split was my friend's fault but the kids blame him and will not talk to him. It's sad because he is their father and like you said they will look back one day and regret it.

My SIL finally got the raise he has been promised for the past year or so. He will now be making as much as they both did combined. They will definitely be able to get som work done on the house and save for Disney next year. My dream trip is going to be a reality. All 3 of my kids and all of my grandkids at Disney at one time.

Well, yesterday I got a letter saying they want to do another test, because they "think" they may have seen something. I saw those films and I don't think it is anything to be concerned about, but I will keep you all updated. My doctor hasn't even called me yet, and he should have gotten the results before I did

Oh well I guess it is a wait and see kind of thing.

What's everyone got planned for the weekend. We have scouts tonight and Jimmy has a playdate tomorrow. I am going to take that opportunity to run to the Disney store to get a gift card for my nephew who is going to WDW for his senior trip next month. I tried to tell him I was the coolk aunt and that he should take me along as one of the chaperones, but he wasn't going for it

I have had a long "weekend" already. Thank god when KC changes jobs we get a real weekend back, not Thurs and Fri as a faux weekend.

Yesterday we went for lunch with an old friend i have known since high school. She said she had to come to the city for "an appointment" and she'd explain it to me when she saw me. So we went out for Japanese food with her and her husband. Turns out she came in to go to the NYU Cancer Center! She has a tumorous growth in her mouth that is cancerous. I was so stunned i had no real reaction. We had a great lunch otherwise, catching up. She is having the growth out this coming Friday and gets to go home the same day. then she has a monthly scan test in new york city to monitor the progress and make sure nothing spread. She is in really good spirits about it, as is her husband, so i was trying to be too. I didn't break down until we left them for the day.

The one good thing to come of it is I will see her monthly when she comes into the city, we have a standing lunch date set up. It's just a lot to handle. They have 2 kids, 3 and 6 months. I have known her for over half my life.

So some pixie dust and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

KC and i spent the rest of the day out yesterday as well. We went to visit a Dis friend (mymuse18) who was in the city for an event last night, then we had some Starbucks and Crumbs and came home to put in our a/c. that was a bust! it is his parents old one and its all messed up and too big ..............so we bought a new one from PC Richards!! Now we are waiting for the confirmation that we can walk up to the store and pick it up. If not tonight will be another uncomfortable evening if nonsleep.

Today we are headed to the in-laws to deliver the IKEA stuff we bought this week and visit. Then for the weekend we are RESTING! I'm tired already.

Man I needed to vent that all out, thanks for listening!!

88 here yesterday (which is insane - Z & V, was it even that hot in FL?) and then 60 today, in the 50's Friday and Saturday. Nutty. But then I think we settle into some really nice "real" spring weather. Around 60, some rain, typical April...

Ummm I don't know. I think we're somewhere in the 80's It's not too bad yet, but I usually don't spend too much time outside. Just to go to work in the morning when the sun usually isn't out yet and then at night when the sun is gone. But it's not crazy humid yet where it's 87 but feels like 100. If it would stay like this I'd be a happy camper.

Have a good trip. Mine is in 22 days just the trip not my birthday.

like everyone else said call. If you take thyroid medication it may causes shadowy things on the mammos that many Dr's think is something else, but I guess better safe than sorry.

Thanks All. I called. Doctor out until Tuesday, but the girl in the office pulled my file and said that he received the report on Monday. She also said he put a note on there that he believes that this is a scar that was picked up (form anothe issues I had). He is going to call me on Tuesday.

It did get chilly over night. I forgot to wear a jacket this morning and was a little cold. The weather said we are having seasonal temps now.

I wouldn't worry too much about the test results. They probably want to do an ultrasound. I go through it all the time.

This weekend is going to be busy. I have a paper due Wednesday that I haven't even started yet. My grandson has his first baseball game on Sunday so of course I have to be there.

Yesterday we went for lunch with an old friend i have known since high school. She said she had to come to the city for "an appointment" and she'd explain it to me when she saw me. My trip is 3 weeks from today. I have started the this time in 3 weeks I'll be . . .countdown.

I don't know that I ever introduced myself. I'm Lorrie, a retired crossing guard. My DH is a sheriff and knows Janet from work. I live with my husband Jim and 2 cats and a dog. My kids are all grown and on their own. I have 6 grandkids, ranging in age from 16 months to almost 12, and watch 3 of them all of the time. I don't see my sons boys as often as the other 4. I will see the oldest a lot now that baseball has started.

Thank you I think they are pretty cute too. The boys are my little partners in crime. They get into a lot of mischief together.

If the dr didn't call right away I wouldn't worry. They tend to be over-cautious when they see anything. I have to go for an ultrasound and repeat mammos every year because of cysts. They did tell me that it could also be minute traces of powder or deoderant.

I am having a fairly quiet day. Took my exam last night and got a 99. I think the profesor took off a point because it took me 59 of 60 minutes to take it. I accidentally erased my answer and had to completely rewrite the essay in 5 minutes. If I only lost one point I'm happy beause the rewrite was missing several points I wanted to make. I do not like on-line classes because I miss so much. The answers posted each week by my classmates need responses and I just shake my head and go HUH??? One week we were asked about pursuits, its a Criminal Justice class. One person said we shouldn't pull a gun on a fleeing suspect because they might get mad and shoot back. Another student said that the police should shoot out the tires of the car during a high speed chase while you are driving the chasing car at hih rates of speed. One of my favorites was to chase the fleeing suspect to an open field where there won't be any people. Then be careful not to hit or shoot innocent bystanders. What scares me is that these people may someday be the cops protecting me.

Oh well I have a paper to write this weekend, my granddaughter has a birthday party to go to and my grandson has his first baseball game this weekend. I am so glad that I thrive under pressure.

Today David, Jess and I played golf whilst Ells went to her friends, I then did some gardening and D and I then went for a walk. I then had a phone call that Jess (well me ) won a competition for a VIP screening in Leicester Square (London) of the new Nickelodean show The Big Rush in about 2 weeks time. I've got a golf match but D and the girls are going and they're very excited, not only do they get the showing but they get goodies too I then had an email saying I'd won 2 tickets to a pre-view of Dear John on Monday, oh and I also won a packet of cookies in another comp. Me entering all these things is starting to pay off

Great smooth day at book fair today - well, if you discount one of the table collapsing in the middle of our first "classroom slot" which, for reasons unknown to me, two 3rd grade teachers signed up for. Yeah, we want to start the thing with 40 kids, not 20.

Oh, yeah, and that part where there was an assembly in our all-purpose room (where we set up) at 1:30. That, yeah, no one mentioned until 12:00. Thankfully, our last class came through today from 12:30-1, and then, hey, we got to come home early! After last night and today, we've sold over 300 books (we're tallying for a poster - never done that before) and taken in over $1500!

Came home, fell asleep on the couch, then took the kids to karate. Whilst the kids were there, I made a very quick grocery run and picked up Chinese food for dinner.

We watched Star Wars V, and now the boys are in bed and we are just hanging.

I am looking forward to the slight drop in temps. My daughter got completely ripped off on her house. She has had heating and air conditioning issues since she bought it. There are no screens in any of the windows so they can't be opened or the cat gets out. I thought I was going to pass out the other day the house was at 85 degrees. Fortunately the repairmen are supposed to be out tomorrow and my husband will be off so he can come up to her house. It is under a one year warranty and the whole system needs to be replaced. There are parts of the heater that are rusted away I swear the heater was giving off CO2 all winter. At least the moderate temps are comfortable...

Well I saw the dr and my rash is some kind of dermatitis or very mild eczema. I never had that before so it was a little weird. I have a script and that should clear it up.

It has been really WARM here and as I mentioned my daughter has a problem at her house. I am going to make sure my husband can be here when they come out. He is a rather intimidating figure, sort of has to be with his job, so they may not try and double-talk him. My daughter gets confused with what they tell her.

My trip is coming up and I am really excited. My aunt is going to join us and spend one night at the hotel with us. I haven't seen her in over a year so I am really looking forward to it. She moved to Florida over 30 years ago so I don't get to see her nearly as often as I would like. She's only a half hour from Disney now so I think we will be able to see her more often when we go down. She used to be in West Palm Beach and it was too much of a drive.

We are going for the Big Elvis Festival !!!!!!!Also touring the local touristy things which is left totally up to us !!Also are booked on a Dinner Cruise but all other meals are up to us !! They give us like $2,000 cash to cover all expenses !! Even the scrapbook stuff to make albums for each of them!!
We are really excited and as I know 2 of the consumers going it is even better !!

Hey all. Hope you are all having a good morning. Our nice weather bit the dust and now it is 50 and rainy, although the rain is supposed to clear out later in the morning.

I have some news, not good or bad, just news. You all know I went for my mammogram last week. Well, yesterday I got a letter saying they want to do another test, because they "think" they may have seen something. I saw those films and I don't think it is anything to be concerned about, but I will keep you all updated. My doctor hasn't even called me yet, and he should have gotten the results before I did.

Oh well I guess it is a wait and see kind of thing.

What's everyone got planned for the weekend. We have scouts tonight and Jimmy has a playdate tomorrow. I am going to take that opportunity to run to the Disney store to get a gift card for my nephew who is going to WDW for his senior trip next month. I tried to tell him I was the coolk aunt and that he should take me along as one of the chaperones, but he wasn't going for it.

I hope that nothing comes of the scans. I usually get mine done just before I see my doctor. I still have to ask if they got the results though. I always get a letter.

I have had a long "weekend" already. Thank god when KC changes jobs we get a real weekend back, not Thurs and Fri as a faux weekend.

Yesterday we went for lunch with an old friend i have known since high school. She said she had to come to the city for "an appointment" and she'd explain it to me when she saw me. So we went out for Japanese food with her and her husband. Turns out she came in to go to the NYU Cancer Center! She has a tumorous growth in her mouth that is cancerous. I was so stunned i had no real reaction. We had a great lunch otherwise, catching up. She is having the growth out this coming Friday and gets to go home the same day. then she has a monthly scan test in new york city to monitor the progress and make sure nothing spread. She is in really good spirits about it, as is her husband, so i was trying to be too. I didn't break down until we left them for the day.

The one good thing to come of it is I will see her monthly when she comes into the city, we have a standing lunch date set up. It's just a lot to handle. They have 2 kids, 3 and 6 months. I have known her for over half my life.

So some pixie dust and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

KC and i spent the rest of the day out yesterday as well. We went to visit a Dis friend (mymuse18) who was in the city for an event last night, then we had some Starbucks and Crumbs and came home to put in our a/c. that was a bust! it is his parents old one and its all messed up and too big ..............so we bought a new one from PC Richards!! Now we are waiting for the confirmation that we can walk up to the store and pick it up. If not tonight will be another uncomfortable evening if nonsleep.

Today we are headed to the in-laws to deliver the IKEA stuff we bought this week and visit. Then for the weekend we are RESTING! I'm tired already.

Prayers for your friend. Sorry about the A/C. I hope we won't need ours for another month or so. I love getting out now that the weather is good. I think it makes me feel a lot better to get some sun on my face and Spring air in my lungs.

Today David, Jess and I played golf whilst Ells went to her friends, I then did some gardening and D and I then went for a walk. I then had a phone call that Jess (well me ) won a competition for a VIP screening in Leicester Square (London) of the new Nickelodean show The Big Rush in about 2 weeks time. I've got a golf match but D and the girls are going and they're very excited, not only do they get the showing but they get goodies too I then had an email saying I'd won 2 tickets to a pre-view of Dear John on Monday, oh and I also won a packet of cookies in another comp. Me entering all these things is starting to pay off

Great smooth day at book fair today - well, if you discount one of the table collapsing in the middle of our first "classroom slot" which, for reasons unknown to me, two 3rd grade teachers signed up for. Yeah, we want to start the thing with 40 kids, not 20.

Oh, yeah, and that part where there was an assembly in our all-purpose room (where we set up) at 1:30. That, yeah, no one mentioned until 12:00. Thankfully, our last class came through today from 12:30-1, and then, hey, we got to come home early! After last night and today, we've sold over 300 books (we're tallying for a poster - never done that before) and taken in over $1500!

Came home, fell asleep on the couch, then took the kids to karate. Whilst the kids were there, I made a very quick grocery run and picked up Chinese food for dinner.

We watched Star Wars V, and now the boys are in bed and we are just hanging.

Great job with the fair! You deserved to collapse. Did you find a tub that looked OK?

Well the Honda looks better now than it did when we bought it. It took me a total of 4 hrs to get it cleaned up. Yes, I'm serious. the iside was an absolute dust pit. I told Doug that the Aveo had better not get in that shape. One arm can still get a dust cloth and some Armor All once in a while. Plus I noticed that he broke the hood latch pulley thing under the dash. I told him to get a new one and I would try to put it in. Should be fun.

I found that my whole yard needed to be mowed again. That's what I get for using fertilizer. Doug cut down the old apple tree with help from a friend earlier this week. I had to mow around that because it started to rain before they could get it all loaded up on the trailer. I need 2 more of me to get everything done around here.

I didn't get to the clothes sorting or Spring cleaning. My house is the pits right now. This week 2 of my 3 days off I'll be busy with shopping, training at work and going to Indy. I want to run away! October is so far away!

BTW, for those that asked, and thanks for doing so , Doug seems to be doing OK. Improvement has leveled off a bit. Today I noticed he was dragging his right leg more than usual. He said it was because he was tired. Every so often, his speech seems to have problems again too. I hope these are not signs of a reversal is all. I keep trying to be positive.

I talked to a friend the other day who has an uncle in the contracting business. I need to get an idea of what it will cost to revamp our master bedroom and bath to accommodate ECVs or wheelchairs. I want to make sure that we are ready if/when things get bad and can't be corrected.

I also need to get us to a lawyer, funeral director, and financial planner in the next couple of months. Geeze it is all so depressing but necessary.

I have to work until Monday. I want ya'll to behave yourselves!!!

Janet let me add to the others who say FOLLOW Up with the mammo!!9 years ago , I to was told there was a little something, they did a biopsy and it was cancer !! But thanks to early detection it was in such early stage I was fine with radiation!! I can't stress enough to get a mammo every year !! tHE LIFE YOU SAVE WILL BE YOURS !!

Hey all, pretty busy but relaxing at the same time kind of day. We took Jimmy to his friends house for a playdate and then Jim and I went to the mall, ALL BY OURSELVES and were able to walk around and not hear...this store is boring, I wnat to get that, etc.... We went to the Disney store, and picked up a gift card for my nephew (Did I tell you he is going to WDW for his senior trip?) and I also picked up a birthday gift for my girlfriends daughter while I was there.

Then we went and had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen which was okay, just not what I am used to in pizza, iykwim?

We also, ggot some watch batteries and a watchband. Like I said, nothing exciting but it was nice to walk around just the two of us.

When we went to pick up Jimmy they didn't want to stop playing so we brought TYler home with us, so now we are having a sleepover. Going to run and get the 1st Transformers Movie for them to watch.

Good evening all. I hope everyone had a good day. I spent my day tied to my computer. My research paper is due wednesday and of course I hadn't started it yet. The research was done however. I did manage to write the paper so that is out of the way.
I have church in the morning and I have to go because I have 708 plastic Easter eggs for next year. I only spent $5 so I am really happy with that deal. I will not have next year's hunt be as mismanaged as this year's was. I also needed to get enough eggs for the lunch with the bunny we will have. Of course I am now worried that 708 eggs may not be enough. I am not storing those eggs at my house though so I have to get them to church.

My grandson has his first baseball game tomorrow night so of course I will be there rooting him on. It will be weird not being a part of the coaching staff but now I can be the picture taking grandmom. He is supposed to be the starting catcher so I am excited for him.

Well have a good night and a good day tomorrow because I doubt I will be around very much until tomorrow night.
