Well, since Jo shared my REAL picture... :rotfl:

How's your grandpa? :hug:

He's starting to feel better although he is still very weak. They will probably discharge him some time next week and are hoping that they can get him a place in a nursing home soon, all the local homes apparently have waiting lists and his name is down so it is a waiting game now. They are talking about getting a private nurse to come to the house to check on him occasionally until then. My dad is still going to fly out to visit them since he already bought his ticket but since the urgency is gone my brothers and I are going to wait until Easter to fly out that way he should be back home and comfortable.

Oh, good! Glad it's looking up! :goodvibes

JO: OK, my head is itchy. :dance3:
Death to the Lice!

Lessa: Great news about your Grampa. :lovestruc

The dinner party went very well. The chicken w/ 40 cloves was delicious! My DH said it was better than usual. I cooked the garlic a bit longer than I usually do. More sweet. And I made a crumb-top apple pie that was SOOO good. I am stuffed full. Now, gonna go reload the dishwasher (too many for just one load!!!) and then watch some bad tv.

Tomorrow is a visit to my Glaucoma specialist. (I am 36 but my eyes are 136) :rotfl2: But, DH is taking the day off to chauffer me there and back because of the dialation. So, good times! And the boys are off school for MLK Day.

I missed you chatty Fockers today. Hope everyone feels good, has a shower, kills their respective bugs and doesn't get hurt when they trip on their 30 pairs of crocs. Later Fockers!
MEL:banana:

I watched the football and then had a nice long bath, and now I need to go to bed. Good night! :wave2:

Now I am on the couch watching the Rock with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage. I forgot how good this movie is, haven't seen it in a while.

Funny you mention that movie- our friend luis always buys tons of movies and brings them over for us to copy and he brought over The Rock yesterday!!!
Great movie! I love the score in it!

Uhm ... we're only 4-ish hours away. Take the train and we'll go to Friendly's. Worth it? :rotfl2:

LOL Careful what you wish for..it takes me an hour just to get into the city..I'm used to long travels! ;)

Not a loofah. These are soft. Here's a pic ...

I just call it a POOF. I bring my own to Disney as well.

BA has the timer set to watch "Bring it on" for the upteenth time.:sad2:

Why is it I always watch that movie when its on too? I even had KC watching Bring it on Again or whatever the 2nd one is called! :lmao:

Anyone watch Nip/Tuck?? We just borrowed the dvds and started watching Season One today- great show!!!!

So I'm breaking in the crock pot tomorrow with this:

Honey Ribs

INGREDIENTS

* 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
* 3 tablespoons honey mustard
* 1/4 cup honey
* 1/2 cup water
* 1/4 cup honey barbecue sauce
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup maple syrup
* 3 pounds baby back pork ribs
DIRECTIONS

1. In the crock of a slow cooker, mix together the beef broth, honey mustard, honey, water, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and maple syrup. Slice ribs apart, leaving an even amount of meat on each side of the bone. Place them into the slow cooker so that they are covered by the sauce. If there is not enough sauce, you may add a little water or beef broth to compensate.
2. Cover, and cook on High for 5 hours, or until the meat falls easily from the bones.

Anyways it's late and after being out of it for most of the day I'm off to read some Charlaine Harris and crash out some more!

Ok Fockers, anyone ever have to have their home tented and fumigated? Andy found evidence of termites on the deck and we're thinking we're going to needing to do this.
Nope ... sorry. Good luck! :hug:

Oh, the party was fun, BTW, until the girl sitting next to Woody threw up all over the floor, right behind my chair. I nearly gagged, and it was a fun time... Poor thing, and her mom was so apologetic. Not her fault, of course...
And that's what happens when you give kids booze! :lmao:

And the girl in the corner said, "Boy I've gotta warn you, gonna turn into a ballroom blitz." Ballroom blitz. And now that's stuck. Thanks. :lmao:
Hee hee!

I had to type in a few different names in google until I found a pic of them. I typed in "scrubbies". I have never called them that!

Oh dear. We have never had to go through with that thank God. Don't you have to really wash all your sheets and do other things around the home? :confused3
You're very lucky, I think we caught it very early so just lots of combing!

:scared1: I remember when I had lice back in elementary school. My biggest fear about Erich working the elementary school this semester was that he would get lice from one of the kids and bring it home and infect us all! I hope the rest of the family is lice free Jo!
Thanks Lessa, they're horrid little things!!!

Jo hairspray and gel repel lice as does a vinegar rinse after shampooing! I worked 6 yeard at HeadStart and became quitethe nit nurse as we all did and learnt all the tricks on getting rid of them. Make sure you clean everything well vacuum furniture, carpets etc and don't forget the car!Stuffed toys in black plastic bags for 2 weeks in the closet and wash any coats with fur on them. Those little licey love to hide in places. Good luck!!:grouphug:
Thanks :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: You're earning your crown in heaven! (keep repeating that while you get the glue out of your hair!)
:rotfl2:

No I don't think the lice would go anywhere near Buzz :rotfl2:

Ok Fockers, anyone ever have to have their home tented and fumigated? Andy found evidence of termites on the deck and we're thinking we're going to needing to do this.
Oh no it's all little bugs at the moment isn't it :scared:

Ooooh yuck I hate sick :scared: Glad it was a good party though!

And I hope David's hair turned out OK.
Well it's a bit shorter than normal :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

My secret shame has been exposed! :guilty:
We knew it :rolleyes: :rotfl2:

A bath :faint: :rotfl2:

Morning Fockers. I need some Focker power. Namath's lab work came back and the vet is concerned about it. Long story short I just got off the phone with her a little while ago and I am bringing Namath in Tuesday at 5pm for an ultrasound of his bladder and kidneys. She had some big words (and scary). I had a good cry and "talked" to Dad and asked him to get St Francis (patron saints of animals) to watch over my boy.

So if I could ask you all to keep Namath in your thoughts I would appreciate it.

Talk to you all later.
I will keep Namath in my thoughts and prayers. Hope everything works out. Keep us posted.

NO one was around last night - and get this... I've caught a cold! Dangnabbit! :mad: At least I've no work and no school today or tomorrow - so rest is in order today! ;)
Feel better:hug:

Grrrrrrrr Jess has just told me she has an itchy head so although she hasn't had the dreaded head lice for 7 years and she is now at senior school I thought I'd quickly out the comb through and :mad: she had them ahhhhhhh so guess who's off for a shower and comb thru now? I bet she shared them :rolleyes: Goodness knows where they came from :confused:
OMG EWWW!!Good luck getting rid of them. I hear it can be hard.Hopefully Elle doesnt get it or you or David:eek:

Well, it's 8 degrees here again this morning. :mad: My little goats are jumping around though--they have super thick coats. Noodles pulls them back to the barn now and then. She will make 1 little BAA and they run back. I'm gonna try and model her mothering style--she's patient, rarely raises her voice, and gets after anything that messes with her kids!

No school today. :sad2:

Good Morning everyone:goodvibes What is everyone up to today?

Jim and I are getting ready to run some errands, but I thought I'd check in. We are going to Home Depot to get some new address numbers for the frint of the house (will probably liberate some LGMH's while I am there:rolleyes1 - Jo, do you want some?), then to Micahel's they are having a sale on T-Shirts 5 for $10. Perfect for maikng some shirts for the trip. Then we are going to Toys R Us to return Hungry Hungry Hippos and then while we are at the mall we just have to stop into the Disney Store.

Hey DM, I am making your ribs today in the crockpot. Will let you know how they turn out!
