I'm surfing the Disney tips site! Did u get the shoe organizer at Dollar Tree? I got one at Target for $10 (but I use it--it's cloth). I told Daran about the pedestal sinks and he says we really gotta think how to organize!
I have never bought a shoe organizer nor have needed one. I think it is one more thing to pack. There is a shelf over the sinks that hold all toiletries and junk like that. We do have LL Bean travel organizers (1 large and 1 medium) and they hang up. I love them because they hold everything very nicely. I just wish I bought the extra large one.

I'm fixing to go on a Dollar Tree expedition--I'll post my bargains on my PTR!
I know it's too late but one thing I loved from the Dollar Store is a pack of bath "scrunchies". I don't even know what they are called. You know, those nylon balls that you can wash with? We all have our own. But on vacation, I go to the Dollar Store and buy a pack which has like 6 of them. They're smaller than the normal ones but work fine for vacation. Then at the end of our trip we just toss them in the trash.

We are actually planning on going to Friendly's when we are in FL on our one free day that my friend and her hubby are coming to vsit us on. I ahven't been there in years!
Uhm ... we're only 4-ish hours away. Take the train and we'll go to Friendly's. Worth it? :rotfl2:

There is a very good chance that my parents will be paying for rooms for my family and my brother's this coming August down in Ocean City, Maryland. These rooms include 1 bedroom, kitchen, bath, and living room. They are also ocean front rooms. We've stayed here before. So, if the parents are willing to spring for the room, I'm all on that! The kids really want to go to the beach this year and who am I to break their dear hearts? ;)

This is a really good idea DM, I am adding to my list:thumbsup2

Grrrrrrrr Jess has just told me she has an itchy head so although she hasn't had the dreaded head lice for 7 years and she is now at senior school I thought I'd quickly out the comb through and  she had them ahhhhhhh so guess who's off for a shower and comb thru now? I bet she shared them  Goodness knows where they came from

We had one last trip, but it was a pain. This year, e're actually bringing an artists apron. Less pocet, less ver packing, same amount of convenience

Are you talking about LOOFAHs? Me likee loofahs.

I always get an extra pack of hair ties for our trips, since DD loses them so quickly (she'll take them out and drop them when she decides she's done with them). I'll tuck a couple into one of htose collapsible travel brushes at the dollar store and tuck them eitherinto one of my pockets or into my purse.

yuk :scared: I'm sorry. :(

I'm lice free :yay: :rotfl: I also have the best combd hair in England :rotfl2: Phew I'm so pleased as the 2 times they've had them before (when they were really little) they've given them to me too, years ago David came home from work and I told him to go upstairs, strip and get in the bath, he didn't realise it was so I could comb his hair :lmao: They are a problem in schools over here as parents are only "advised" to keep their kids off till they've gone  We also used to have a "nit nurse" who used to examine kids heads but it's not politically correct these days :headache: Oh well lots of conditioner and combing for a few days!!!! The annoying thing is that whilst she was at primary school I used to spray her head with a combination of lavender and teatree oil nicely named as headlice repellent but she hasn't done it since big school, she obviously needed too!!!

Ewww! :scared: I had those when I was a kid. What a hassle to get rid of them! We have these over the counter remedies - of course my mother was not about to spend $4 on a bottle of RIT, she sat there and picked every nit and egg out of my hair. What a pain the #$% that was! Poor Jess! I hope Ellie's not got them as well! :headache:

How very Brie van de Kamp of you!
:rotfl2:

 Hey I resemble that remark:lmao:

Oh dear. We have never had to go through with that thank God. Don't you have to really wash all your sheets and do other things around the home? :confused3

Not a loofah. These are soft. Here's a pic ...

And I bet you had beautiful thick hair too1 Your poor mama ... and you too! One of my cousins in California had them as a kid and he had to have his head shaved.

TE ~ Are you ready for the Hoff tonight? I'm actually gonna miss it because I have to watch The Amazing Race. Thank the Good Lord above ... ;)

:scared1: I remember when I had lice back in elementary school. My biggest fear about Erich working the elementary school this semester was that he would get lice from one of the kids and bring it home and infect us all! I hope the rest of the family is lice free Jo!

Jo hairspray and gel repel lice as does a vinegar rinse after shampooing! I worked 6 yeard at HeadStart and became quitethe nit nurse as we all did and learnt all the tricks on getting rid of them. Make sure you clean everything well vacuum furniture, carpets etc and don't forget the car!Stuffed toys in black plastic bags for 2 weeks in the closet and wash any coats with fur on them. Those little licey love to hide in places. Good luck!!:grouphug:

There was tissue paper and glue flying everywhere :
:rotfl2: You're earning your crown in heaven! (keep repeating that while you get the glue out of your hair!) :lmao:

That's a good idea--the girls each use them a lot. I'll buy some cheap ones for them.

Thanks! I need to add hair ties to our day pack cause they are constantly breaking/losing them...and their worlds seem to collapse!

It's still done here--everyone in a line at the nurse.

Two Hour Movie Event Sunday, February 17th
KNIGHT RIDER

Executive Producer Doug Liman ('The Bourne Identity' Franchise and 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith') and Executive Producer David Bartis ('The O.C' and NBC's 'Heist') have joined together to bring back the 1980's television classic "Knight Rider." The two-hour movie event brings KITT and a talented cast of young and seasoned actors into the 21st century with speed, drama, love and triumph. David Hasselhoff as a special guest star returns as Michael Knight. Knight Rider returns February!

Ok Fockers, anyone ever have to have their home tented and fumigated? Andy found evidence of termites on the deck and we're thinking we're going to needing to do this.

OK, bear with me. After the birthday party lunch for the twin girls yesterday, I had to run home and quickly get ready for our sleepover with the wife and girls whom we do the holiday meals with. They didn't go until about 3:30 today, and I'm finally caught up. I am SURE I'll exceed the image limit, so forgive for deleting all your smilies.

Oh, the party was fun, BTW, until the girl sitting next to Woody threw up all over the floor, right behind my chair. I nearly gagged, and it was a fun time... Poor thing, and her mom was so apologetic. Not her fault, of course...

LHR??? And I haven't heard of any of those clothing brands, I am English really ?

No. :rotfl:

Morning Fockers. I need some Focker power. Namath's lab work came back and the vet is concerned about it. Long story short I just got off the phone with her a little while ago and I am bringing Namath in Tuesday at 5pm for an ultrasound of his bladder and kidneys. She had some big words (and scary). I had a good cry and "talked" to Dad and asked him to get St Francis (patron saints of animals) to watch over my boy.

So if I could ask you all to keep Namath in your thoughts I would appreciate it.

Talk to you all later.

I'll be thinking of you, Mo.

Oh OK, here's CE then :rotfl2:

CE.jpg

Darn, and just when I thought I had you all fooled... :rotfl2:

My MIL's small and annoying dog is also Buffy.

(and yes, miss mystery woman--make it private! BTW--I didn't know that till Jo told me one day that you could change it. )

I honestly thought I'd already done that. I searched for myself and nothing came up... Ah, well, I don't think it showed my mystery name, anyway.

I just grounded DS8 for life for shooting DS10 in the eye with a nerf dart.

Oh, dear.

Grease 2 was the best- it was soooo cheesy, it was great!

::yes:: Am I forgiven for the candy canes?

TE, Buffy was my pet not Kat's! And yes Buffy was my first pet she was a beautiful golden lab that my parents got as a puppy just before I was born. They also got a black lab at that time that they called Trixie. I guess they were going for hooker names?

Your real name is probably Bambi, and you're just not sharing. :rotfl:

And for you Culinary Fockers:
I am having a dinner party tomorrow. I am making this: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_31318,00.html

I have made it several times and it is YUMMY! And before you even ask, NO it's not WICKED garlicky. It is sweet after you "roast" it in the pan before adding the wine.

Just thought I'd share as you are mostly peeps who cook. And by the way, it's amazingly easy. The hardest part is browning the chicken at the beginning. The rest is SUPER easy.

MEL

Sounds good, thanks!

Crikey (for DM & CE)

Thanks!

Latest saga in the PS2 quest:
Remember I bought BA a new PS2 with Singstar last week?

Strike 1: I pulled the microphone.....console fell off......scratched SingStar disc.......$30
Strike 2: Daran pulled wired controller......console fell off.....no apparent damage
Strike #: Max the poodle trips over wired controller...console fell off.......new Guitar Hero 3 disc is scratched........$50

We have now velcroed the game system to the DVD player--any other suggestions?? This is killing us!

Oh, dear.

I had forced myself with the help of counselling to stop the homicidal tubby thoughts but they are re surfacing

Oh, no, we're causing a relapse! Thankfully my boys never watched them.

In other notes, my brother and I are rockin' on with Rock Band. I am loving that so much more than Guitar Hero. I'm the lead singer and I've advanced myself to "medium" and still getting in the 90 percentile correct. I even tried "hard" on Paranoid by Black Sabbath. I had a lot of fun singing Ballroom Blitz on Friday. It's such a wierd song to sing! We did it twice.

And the girl in the corner said, "Boy I've gotta warn you, gonna turn into a ballroom blitz." Ballroom blitz. And now that's stuck. Thanks. :lmao:

NO one was around last night - and get this... I've caught a cold! Dangnabbit! At least I've no work and no school today or tomorrow - so rest is in order today!

Hope you feel better! :goodvibes

Also, at FQ there was this little settee with a mirror and hooks that we kept our backpacks hanging from and our 30 pairs of shoes under the settee.

Ah, I couldn't remember what the final shoe count turned out to be. :rotfl:

Yeah, ok....Did you really have 30 pairs of shoes
::yes:: Do you not remember the pictures of all the Crocs? :lmao:

So how many Focker's have Trader Joe's near them?

We have one and love it, but it's not quite close enough for everyday shopping. We have to be in the vicinity anyway to decide to go.

In between Dissing today, I have managed to do 2 miles on the treadmill, dust, vaccuum, and polish Grandma's silver tea/coffee set that I keep on the buffet in the dining room.

Now I am on the couch watching the Rock with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage. I forgot how good this movie is, haven't seen it in a while.

Sheesh, busy. My friend and I stayed in PJs and did crosswords. :thumbsup2

Well done, I've been leader at Sunday School, my first time properly in charge, we normally get about 8-10 kids (3-6 y/o) but today had 17 :faint: There was tissue paper and glue flying everywhere We then went for a walk, I cooked a roast, oh I finished reading my book, I've taken Jess to a youth group called NRG (energy!!!) and I've just cut David's hair, he was chatting away and then moved his head, silly boy got a closer cut than he expected which I then had to try and cover up . That'll serve him right for moving his head . Got to pick up Jess in 20mins then it'll be some DISing and bed!

Oh, my. That's a lot of small children. And I hope David's hair turned out OK.

Wow, let's see.... I have made coffee, brushed my teeth and declared today "Pajama Day!"

Now THAT sounds more like my day!

There is a very good chance that my parents will be paying for rooms for my family and my brother's this coming August down in Ocean City, Maryland.
